Out of idle curiosity I thought I would tot up how much I had spent on FSX over the years. The result rather surprised me - about £600 on software and another £650 on dedicated hardware but not including the PC on which to run it.. This excludes what I had previously spent on FS2002 and FS 2004. And I thought I'd found my self a cheap hobby when I snagged a copy of FSX for £15 on eBay those few years ago :rolleyes: I've no doubt however that this is small beer compared to what other enthusiasts have spent.

Hi! I've experienced a problem with Dynamic head movements. When active and actually bumping the cockpit in flight i've noticed that autopilot has difficulties in turning the aircraft. It banks but it remains on the same heading. This happens with the PMDG 737,PMDG777, aerosoft Airbus Extended and Twin Otter Extended. I mean, this are the aircraft I commonly fly with so I've noticed this using them. Any idea?

Had some problems with FSX freezing up while I played and after some reserach I found this forum and a link to a tweaking tool (http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html). When I Try to use it i get the message that theservice is temporary unavailable. Anybody else having that same problem? In advance, thank you for your help!.

I recently dusted off some of my GA aircraft and since the last time I have flown GA I have set up my game so that all my aircraft load in the C&D state, however, I am lacking in checklists to go over the proper pre-flight and startup procedures. Most of the Carenado aircraft I own have checklists that come with them but I have found that some of them leave steps out and lack in detail. I found an excellent checklist for my Carenado Bonanza A36 but I'm having trouble finding some authentic checklists for any of the other aircraft. Some of them like the C172 have plenty of checklists out there but most of them are homemade flight sim ones and don't seem to be very unif…

After having problems with the VC in the PMDG 777, namely the eye point shifting by itself depending on latitude or other factors, I download the Opus demo to test the Live Camera Control and see if it was a solution to my problem. At a northern latitude I set up a few cameras based on the captains view point, i.e., forward view, MCP view and FMC view. It's great, it works. Move the plane to an airport close it the equator and the view point has moved further back, distorting my view point. I opened the LCC dialogue and reset my eye point, so far so good. However, the problem is I have to reset the eye point for each camera individually: with more than 10 camera positions…

I have just installed Ver 3.34.0 into P3D. Now whenever the update runs it gets to "MET Dynamic Weather Created" then "SIM Event: Sim Stopped" and P3D displays popup saying "The weather theme could not be loaded. Please check that the file exists and try again." The error is repetitive and consistent with all attempts to "update Weather". Help please. Mac

I am considering getting a new weather engine. I currently have rex plus w-overdrive and love the textures. The load times are frickin killing me though and when the weather updates clouds just instantly appear or disappear. I am looking at active sky 2012 and Opus. My flights tend to be pmdg 737 ngx. I am using vox atc and EFB. Based on my addons which would be the best fit. It seems like EFB likes AS2012, but I do not have ezdoc and would like the camera feature that comes with opus.

Hi, I came to fly my beloved Majestic Q400 today, and found that the aircraft is suffering huge, nasty flight model jitters in flight. This is nothing to do with the 'jumping on the ground' problem that the Q400 initially suffered, this is entirely an in-flight problem. Hello, I have a little problem. I have GeForce graphics and Im using NVIDIA Inspector. I set my profile in NVIDIA Inspector for FSX with AA 8x, and select Override any applications settings. But when I run FSX, its without any AA :( What am I doing wrong?

Hi all, I'm ready to remove FSX from an old system to a newer one. I know that when I uninstall FSX from my old system and install it on the new one, I will be asked for activation and obviously won't be able to do so becuase it was already done on the previous system. Now that there is no support for FSX, how do I reset my key? If there an existing forum post that can help me with this, can someone refer me to it? Thanks.

I am trying to determine the source of a mysterious chime I am getting when flying in FSX. The chime is similar to what one might hear when the seat belt sign is activated, the flight attendant is called, or when an elevator you're waiting for arrives at your floor. The chiming can start anywhere from 30-90 minutes into a flight, and it repeats about every 2 seconds and is generally incessant for 5-15 minutes until an OOM occurs. The chime comes from the headphones or external speakers, and not from the motherboard speaker. So I began my latest project of learning to fly a helicopter (albeit the default one) and I noticed that it drifts to the right quite naturally, and I was wondering if it really does or if that was something that it does, or am I doing something wrong?

Hey Folks, since the 2nd October, 2013 I got a really BIG Problem I never had once and this problem is really frustrating. I will explain: Everytime I load an aircraft or even use the "Standard" Glider and click on Start Flight, my FSX is getting a black Screen, that means I can still hear the engines but I am just able to see a black "wall". Hello all, I have been having some real problems with the latest Beta and the PMDG T7. When I purchased this a/c, I was using v3.31.4 (think I've got that right) all settings at default, other than the DHM settings that obviously have to be lower for this size of plane. Everything was acting what seemed normal to me and the T7 flew like a dream. I then installed the latest Beta version of Opus and everything changed. I had everything set to the defaults and DHM exactly as before, so I was flying with basically a identical set-up, but the T7 did not like it one bit. Whenever I went into a heading change, the T7 would just jerk it's way through the turn. While this was …

Notice to everyone ... The original release version 3.34 build was corrupted causing the FSXSERVER program to either revert to LIMITED mode or shutdown completely. This problem was corrected and a new build posted. If you are suffering from anything relating to the above please navigate to our Downloads page and download either the latest release update or the latest beta version. After downloading, check and uninstall ALL copies of OpusFSX in the Windows Program's List, then install the new version. As Kin said, do not delete your OpusFSX install folder or the c:\Opus Software licence folder. Just uninstall and reinstall the corrected release or beta build. …
