Hello, I have strange thing happening to me. When Im flying full screen I have lets say 200 FPS but when I switch to windowed mode my FPS drop to about 60! Id like to have the same in windowed as in full screen mode. Is there a solution? I hope it is ) Thanks

Just bought this product, installed and then configured it following what manual told me to do and I have FSUIPC registered version installed & UAC off and FSX installed to D:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Opus installed to D:\OpusFSX I'm using Windows 7 64 bit Home. However for some reason it isn't downloading and adding life weather to my FSX. According spy function it detects that my FSX is running and what aircraft i'm using, however it doesn't download weather or do anything. Any idea what could cause this?

I built a new system:- i5 4670K @ 4GHZ 16 GB corsair vengeance Nvidia ZOTAC GEFORCE 770 GTX 4GB I installed FSX, REX and FTX ENGLAND..... WOW! That's all I can say. Its unreal! Amazing! After all these years, its come together.......! Now I am total awe struck! Ian

Does anyone know if it is possible to switch from one ENB (enbseries.ini I guess?) to another ENB in-flight?

Just reinstalled this plane on my system. For some reason, it wants to almost tip over during taxi. Even going at slow speeds. Anyone have a solution?

I'm not sure what I did here. Winds aloft forecast is 060/54. Actual winds showing 240/54. This has been going on since I switched from vatsim weather to NOAA while the servers at vatsim were down. The winds aloft always seem to be exactly 180 off. Is there something I can check to fix this? Justin whetstone

I use FSGRW for my weather but have REX textures, I love FSGRW because it's so darn accurate the problem is that sometimes I get these weird double cloud textures. My guess is that FSGRW is asking for a very thin cloud layer and that it's smushing REX's big fluffy cumulus clouds but I've tried several different cloud textures in REX with similar results. Below is a comparison of FSGRW and REX weather generation in the same area. While REX looks better when looking up the actual METAR and weather report in the area I found that FSGRW's interpretation was much closer to reality. Just took off from Sarnia, Ont. this morning at 7:25, and am heading north, following the lake. I have the Bloom and Flare effect enabled, as well as (always...) Shade doing its 'thang. Bloom has an amazing effect upon Orbx's FSX Global. The street lights below me, have a very high and bright intensity, and that eastern-rising sun this morning, highlighting a scattered cloud base of 3,500 feet burns so hot and bright under the effect of Bloom, that you can almost FEEL its heat intensity. I love how the Bloom/Flare combo effect highlights and brightens a swath of forest below my right wing, and actually I have never seen that effect before, where the forest is as…

I just got the OPUSfsx today (using REX weather textures) and test flying a long haul right now using PMDG777. I noticed that fsxserver keeps exiting every 30 min, is this suppose to be running and updating the weather engine based on config automatically? I have to launch the application from the desktop to update the weather and i have to do it like a 20 times crossing the Pacific. Please advise.......... Thanks, Kin M. (Klax)

For a month or so now I have been considering stepping out of my "comfort zone" and trying some different kinds of Aircraft for FSX than my usual fare (Tubeliners, Carenado GA planes, most every Eaglesoft Corporate jet they offer, so GA and corporate\commercial are my thing) I've been wanting to branch out into military stuff, fighters, bombers, and the like. I've seen a few F-111's on offer from such noteworthy industry big names such as Virtavia, Just Flight, GKS just to name a few. I've never seen a Virtavia model I didn't like, I have the B-1, the C-17, and a few others by Virtavia and the quality is generally super. I know they have an F-111, but I'…

Ok so recently Ive been having this issue where changing the fiber time fraction makes no difference in FPS for example if I set it at .1 I get the same fps at. 40. Also changing the setting used to allow better texture loading vs fps or vise versa now the texture are blurry when moving above 150knts. I have finer time fraction under main so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I wanted to use Nvidia inspector but for it to work I had to update the driver for the video card. Inspector then worked however FSX starts and immediately has a fatal error. I have rolled the driver back and FSX works again but no Inspector. Any ideas appreciated. Regards Tim

Hi all, I'm trying to increase my FPS. I have been following FSXGenius videos (http://www.youtube.com/user/FSXGenius) on how to set up my ATI card and fsx.cfg file. Using the trike, I am now getting 20-30 fps in FDST KLAX and 40 fps in a default airport. Adding AS2012 in heavy cloud reduces FPS by 15-20 fps. is this what I can expect? It seems quite low for a high-end system. My system: 4770K @ 4.8GHz 16GB 1800MHz RAM 2x250GB Samsung 840 Pro in RAID 7970 GPU

Hey, So I finally got my new computer (ill post about that soon) and I am ready to install FSX but have a quick question: I have 2 HDD's on my computer, a 500GB HD and a 2TB HD. currently I have Windows 7 Ultimate and all my other non simulation software on the 500GB HD. I dont have anything on the 2TB one except some documents and stuff. So, should I install FSX and all the addons I have (over 15 aircraft addons, a lot of scenery) and I have alot of other software on my wishlist for FSX on the 2TB HD by itself, or the 500GB HD with all the other software. ~Remy

Has anyone else had a problem with NO turbulence at all after installing FSGRW and using their "Static Weather" with AccuFeel v2 in FSX? Prior to installing FSGRW, AccuFeel v2 did a great job at working with REX Weather and Turbulence. Now I'm using FSGRW and I have AccuFeel turned up to 100% and I still never get any turbulence (or it's very very minor, barely a hiccup) ... I get the flying on rails experience. So I went back to using REX weather engine and the Turbulence started working again and I had to turn down AccuFeel (50%). I've located major storms over the globe and flew in those locations knowing there will be turbulence, yet I get nothing. I get th…

Hello Simmers! Having recently rediscovered the merits to flying full screen, I have given it a couple of attempts. The only issue is the black screen error. Because I have ENBSeries installed, and don't really want to get rid of it, I realize that unless I enter windowed mode to switch tasks, I will almost certainly receive the error. The issue then with this is that sometimes warning messages or other alerts occur, and force FSX to switch to the alert. After which the screen is black, there is no way to save and the flight is very hard to salvage. Being part of a VA this can be a serious impediment (and has on more than one occasion). Hi all I have a little issue with the F1 KA200 ( by the way, if you do not have this aircraft and you are looking for something like this, I highly highly recommend it, haven't stopped flying it). Anyway, it seems that when I am at a high cruise altitude, lets say above 26k the autopilot is constantly trying to hold altitude. The flight director will pitch up to 7 degrees then down to about 3 degrees constanlty, of course the aircraft itself cannot keep up but the nose is still pitching up and down the whole time, it does not happen at lower altitudes. It is not from OPUS I know that. Any ideas? Lee

My add on menu has disappeared after I copied and pasted my FSX folder onto a new ssd drive. I have ran the FSX registry fix file. I have installed a number of add ons (fsuipc, Fstramp) but there is no add on menu. Any help very much appreciated. Thanks John

Hi, Does anyone have the airliner keyboard modification from Roger Dodger Aviation? I have been looking at this but I have a few questions before I buy it. -Are the keyboard commands on the 2nd keyboard different to the main one? -Is it compatible with PMDG? -What is that EICAS cutout that is pasted onto the numpad? -Are USB/Wireless keyboards adequate for this project? I will admit my wrong doing posting this question here. I simply don't know where to best post these questions as I'm not certian really what is involved. I have this curiousity about doing these customizations to FSX. I have been really enjoying dawn/dusk/night flying w/ the fabulous 3D lighting that are part of FTX-G, but wow much of the daytime textures, at least now that we are in autumn in California, look just awful by comparison to GEX. Really ugly looking! Try flying out of San Diego and see... If I reenable GEX USA presumably I'll lose the 3D lighting, but I'm wondering what the heck will happen w/ my other FTX regions installed in particular--PNW for example. I haven't looked to closely, but perhaps ORBX intentionally used poor quality texturing in California my preferred area of flying as their upcoming regional will fix this. I've been flying FSX consistently during the last few weeks to give it a fair go .. and can see some of it's good points while flying payware (Flight1 KingAir 200, Aerosoft Twotter, Carenado C90B, ORBX FTX, REX + & EZDok) .. when I get to actually fly (and getting a consistent 30 FPS while flying .. I've got it pegged in Settings and it rarely deviates while flying). I've tweaked and tworked .. following most of the recommendations (particularly the one suggested by Flight1 .. without which I just got a black screen with the KingAir), but MOST of my flights end in a crash of some sort (PC or FSX). I've always wanted a Saab 340 for FSX. I know, there is an old one out there for FS2004 that's been supposedly updated for FSX, but it's of low quality and not really any fun to fly. I see on AVSIM's front page that one has been released for XPlane, and it looks quite spectacular. I'm really envious of xplane users for getting that. I've tried XPlane several times, but I still enjoy FSX much more, and always come back. Xplane is now OFF my computer for the 3rd time. I only hope someday that a major developer for FSX makes a Saab 340 of high quality available to us FSX users. Stan
