Hello! Did someone of you notice, that REX sundown water reflections look not normal? THe default fsx sundown water reflections are more realistic than the rex (just fly and entered location where to fly), FEX also delivers nice reflections, but all in all I think that the default fsx reflections are most realisitc. What do you think? How to solve it or is REX not able to show the water reflections like normal fsx? is there a option in REX to disable to use standard reflections? WHats the clue? Hey guys, I've done the massive migration from FS9 to FSX once I realized that my frames wern't that bad. Here's my one problem though: I can be sitting on the runway looking at an airport like Flightbeam KIAD or KLAX, with AI planes parked at the gate, and there's no performance problem. However, when looking directly at aircraft that are moving, like for example at a lineup at a runway, with 3-4 planes taking off, my FPS drops sharply (and this isn't with the airport buildings in sight anymore). Has anyone been able to get the VC to operate in FSX for the TDS B737-700? How does one do it? It appears that the model is an FS9 model so the standard methodology to use the default VC with third party addon aircraft does not work. Shez

This weekend I am going to do some SLI tests in spotplane view. The external view is the only view where SLI can actually work. In spotplane view the camera is directed towards the plane. And if you zoom in really close the view can even shake a little. What I want : the camera view at the front windshield position directed forward. Anyone knows how this can be done ?

I had extremely high DPC Latency only in FSX. Tested. In other games latency is minimal. And IN FSX that looked something like this, in extreme situations, like view panning: Sounds were distorted awfully, crackling, popping, and FPS lower than 5fps when extreme latency happens. I tried everything not related to fsx.cfg, including disabling sound card, changing sample rate, removing entries in dll.xml, removing nvidia power management for lap tops in registry, tweaking nVidia Inspector settings, installing Creative Alchemy and enabling OpenAL in FSX, and so on. So I was really close to getting Simplates Ultra because I got tired of trying to track down charts for some of the smaller perhaps "less popular" countries I'm flying through on my world tour. Someone mentioned to me they weren't worth it because some of the charts are really dated like 10+ years. Just wondering what else out there is the best choice for charts then? Navigraph seems expensive at 59 EUR a year and only has 37,000 charts vs. Simplates 70K+. Basically I want to be able to find charts that will work with a recent airac cycle since I grabbed the 1311 one from Navigraph for my addon aircraft and that has good coverage worldwide. It just occured to me I havent bought anything new for FSX in months. My system runs smooth as silk, no lockups or crashes, have all the scenery, textures, mesh, landclass, airplanes I could ever need or want. My day used to start with checking all the forums for the latest and greatest, researching any new addons, deciding what to, and not to buy. Now I just sorta cruise a few forums, and dont even check the 'Whats New" stuff, I think I have reached a platue in addons and anythign new has to be not just good but spectacular. I remapped all my controls to X-Plane equivalents, but I missed one: Mouse Look (On). So, I pressed the spacebar and now every time I move the mouse the view changes. I went through the controls window, but there doesn't seem to be an OFF event. How do I get out of Mouse Look mode? Everything I googled came back with things like Ctrl-O, but since I deleted all view commands that doesn't work.

I dont use acceleration but I fly with a couple of guys who do. They have a problem with trees on some runways, I never do, so I am wondering if acceleration is causing it. We also use GEX and have compared identical screen shots from the same locations and the amount of trees and AI buildings are different. Anyone else notice this?

Hi everybody Ive had OOM-issues every now and then (after long flights and so on). Ive read about it and made my precautions.. Using add-on airports, NGX and AES/GSX, it rarely goes above 2GB memory usage on short to medium-haul flights.. BUT: Standing at KEGE with GSX on, I was turning around after a flight from DFW when the OOM-ding strikes. It happened after I went in and out of the program a couple of times and it happened at 2,7 GB of memory usage by FSX (I have 8GB on Win7-64) This got me confused. I just flew this dandy bird after a lengthy time from my last flight with it. I cannot start the engine with the panel start button. The engine cranks and the prop turns over and seems to make an attempt to start, but then dies. With the Ctrl + E keys, she starts up fine. I don't remember this problem from some time past and am afraid I am overlooking where it might be addressed anywhere in the documentation. My search on this forum found no issue either. Just got OPUSFsx and love it - the speed and accuracy of the engine is just amazing. Now to settle on a texture set to complete the experience. Would anyone running REX care to share your favourite set of cloud textures? Thanks!

Not sure if this is the best place to start in the Forums for this topic. I just loaded KATL and noticed that there were no terminal buildings present - rwys, aprons, parking spots, some AI aircraft, jetways even traffic moving on the interstates were all there. Tried a number of things without success. KCLT which is a complex airport is there. KDFW is also missing terminals. So, I suspect complexity of the AP has something to do with it. Tried setting my scenery to max without success. I haven't had any other issues with FSX like framerates or other things that would suggest a video memory problem. Hi everybody! I am pretty sure that most of you guys are waiting for the A320 by FSL (at least the airbus guys here ). Unfortunately, I am a little bit worried that this project *could* end like AirSimmer, AirlinerXP or Level D's 757.. I don't want to raise FSL's skills to question but I ask myself why they don't show some more pictures (...) and videos of their A320. Or at least a little cockpit picture (I am sure that won't reveal any "top-secret-features" which competitors could use for their own benefits..) Hi all, I have just installed REX and just tried to land at Sitka (PASI) in the dark, with no landing lights. Bearing in mind that this is the older Carenado Stationair, which I have not had any troubles with, I tried on approach to turn them on, but to no avail. The light itself didn't even light up, so it isn't a problem with the FSX setting allowing lights to illuminate the ground. So after this episode, I tried the taxi lights...nothing. A different plane...nothing. A Project Airbus A318-111 lit up on the plane itself, but the ground remained dark. I have only been flying with fsx for the last couple of months and I am looking to pick up a new plane. Right now I own the 737 ngx and the pmdg 777. I love the pmdg planes due to the in depth systems and all the details etc. I was looking for recommendations of other planes that are on a similar level. I have been looking closely at the q400.

HI Stephen, Sorry to be a pain but can I ask you the following question. If I am flying at say 35,000 and the only cloud level base is say 2,000 feet is it right that I would not see this lower cloud level base and all I would see is clear blue skies. My previous issues have all resolved themselves and Opus is working fine but it is just this piece of clarification that I am seeking. Many thanks in anticipation. Michael

Hey guys, I discovered that I really enjoy flying the default learjet. However I feel something is missing. I am looking for similar plane (I believe they are called "bizjets") that looks much like the learjet, but is a faster. It can be payware, it can be freeware, but it would be good if it was not very resource heavy, like the citation mustang, which lowers my FPS drastically when in virtual cockpit. So basically something like the learjet but faster, PW or FW, not resource heavy. Thanks

Hi. I consider buying this turboprop now but after reading many opinions all over the Internet I have mixed feelings. It seems this plane is on par with PMDG products but in the same time it has some annoying bugs as a brand-new design. Therefore I'd like to clarify several things before purchase: - How does installation process look like? What about patch installation? Is complete reinstall always necessary? Do I also need to install DirectX every time? How does activation process look like? - What about several top issues: torque effect causing bouncing starts and landings, inability to catch ILS in stable way, advancing throttle power during landings etc. …

Does anybody know how to remove eyebrow windows from the default 737-800 vc? I have merged the default vc with the posky 737-700 model easily. However many 737's now do not have eyebrow windows. I know a texture mod has been done to the pmdg model but im not sure if it can be done with the microsoft model. And while im asking, for some reason the vc is in the wrong place when I merge it with the posky 737-800 model. For example, the jetway is attached right against the door when I view the aircraft from the outside, however when viewed from the vc it is very far ahead and unattached. I already tried the posky forum.

did anyone tried to turn the anti ice off (windows and wings) and check if ice accumulates on windshield (displaying icing on display panel) or wings?

This may be silly, but although I can't really complaint about the performance I am getting from my FSX install, with just the default scenery and just a few selected aircraft, I decided to edit FSX's DLL.XML and disable all of those modules associated with aircraft I am not going to use in the next session. This started when I thought some clickspots problems I started having with A2A's C172, and then latter with the RealAir Duke v2, might be caused by DLLs from different aircraft. Truth is that since I use this "technique" I no longer had any missing clickspot problems... Comments appreciated :-)
