I noticed in some videos cameras peering through the window of an airliner showing water droplets, particles of dirt on the window. How do you get that effect?

Hello, I'm having issues taking off.. whenever I begin rolling for takeoff, once I pass 40-50KTS the plane becomes not able to rudder and will veer off the runway to the left.. Even if I set a rudder trim. It flies fine otherwise but the takeoff is my only issue. I'm using the Saitek Yoke with no pedals. Just want to know if its a simple thing I am doing wrong, or maybe something wrong with my controller? Thanks.

Hello All In an attempt to reduce memory usage, I thought that I'd resize all of the new FAIB textures down from 2048 to 1024. I thought that I'd successfully done this with the A319 CFM by converting to DXT5 bmp textures; reducing the file size down to the normal 1.3-ish megs. Superficially the repaints appear to look fine, but once I zoom in, the A319 model seem to 'sprout' satellite blisters down its spine towards the rear of the fuselage. Zoom out, and the blisters disappear. I've tried numerous file conversion types which all work fine provided that the resolution stays at 2048. Has anyone tried taking off and landing at Mt Hawley (3MY) near Peoria, IL? My C172 (stock) goes nuts in the vicinity of that airport. Airspeed increases uncontrollably, full forward rudder required to descend. If I give up and fly 3 min north to PIA I can land fine. Wondering if there's something strange about that airport's data or something. If someone else could try operating there and report success or failure, I'd appreciate it. Of course, anyone with ideas what to do about it would be appreciated even more! Thanks, DJV

Hi everyone For no apparent reason FSX will not start - no recent installations, and no crashes to desktop in the last session of FSX. I simply get a spinning pointer for a few seconds then a return to the desktop. I have used my FSX Acceleration DVDto repair FSX Acceleration, without success. Any suggestions other than a complete uninstall and re-installation from scratch? Regards, ozzieblr

Hello, I'm not sure if this the correct place to write this, but I join a few minutes ago and I don't now so much about this place. My problem and question is: The project opensky boeing 777 and the thomas ruth airbus a310 doesn't have a course selector like the b737 or homas ruth a340 and a330, or other planes... So, my question is how to make an Ils aprroach, I know everything, except to make an ILS aproach without a course selector, so any answer can helps me to resolve that problem . I just installed a new texture set on a PA 319 . All seems fine but the panel in the VC is black. Gauges are working. Strange thing is that all other liveries which were already present are just working fine. The file is from the library including the model but since that one is without VC my thought was only to take the textures. External model is perfect. Not sute what I did wrong. Any suggestions. This is the file name where I took the textures from: a319_dynamo.zip (AVSIM library)

Always wondered how often people here fly payware as opposed to default aircraft. Do you fly default or payware aircraft more? Do you ONLY fly payware, or default? Maybe both?

Hi again As OpusFSX is new to me Im having some issues getting it right. Now its the winds. Without touching any of the settings, I came in to land at LAX towards the west. Just as the wheels hit the ground winds update immediately and throws me back up in the air (changed from cross to headwind) ruining my landing. I decided to increase the wx-update supress to 5000 ft and make the wind changes softer/smoother. Coming in to land @ BOS, I had a feeling I would get a repeat. Now it could get bad due to high winds BOS was having at the time of my flight. And I was right. On final approach winds had locked at 049/33 and I was on approach to RWY27 (METAR said …

Hello! I'm trying to follow the JustFlight 737 Professional tutorial provided in the manual but am having persistent problems getting the autopilot to intercept the ILS for runway 9R at KORD. Everything goes smoothly until the bottom of page 106 of the manual, when on a heading of 040 to intercept the ILS, the course deviation indicatior starts to center (so I know the correct frequency is set on NAV1, plus the DME checks out) so I set the autopilot mode to VOR LOC to start tracking the ILS to 9R, and the plane starts turning away from the runway to a heading of 360! I have the NAV/GPS mode selector in the NAV position, so am really stumped at this behaviour! Has anyo…

Hi all. I noticed a bit of a problem. I was using my Twin Otter along with some water landings, and suddenly noticed that ground was being drawed where water should be, just under me. Then i noticed on land in an airport i was arriving at, that the texture that was under the airport textures was being drawn around me on top of all, just like the water textures was being replaced by ground textures around me in the water. I have UTX, FTX Global and mesh installed. Anything i should change in my scenery library? Thanks.

This is a new development out of no where. Super smooth system chugging along nicely but now if I fly a payware aircraft over ORBX the plane freezes in the same attitude that I leave it in eg a 60deg turn with my hands on the controls is smooth no probs but as soon as I let go the plane stays banked without actually turning. Everything else is fine and I continue flying straight ahead , 30fps in the Twotter. so far I have built a new CFG file unmodified and have set the FPS to unlimited but no difference. I know it's realistic that the windows are anti-glare and all, but I'd like to make the inside view as "claritan clear" as it is outside. Some planes have such bad washed out views that it makes it impossible to view the scenery in it's true colors. Have to constantly use external to see the scenery in all it's glory. Any ideas?

I already have Aerosoft's Twin Otter (which contains both the 300 and 100 models). I am very satisfied with it. Firstly,I must state that this OPUS weather engine is brilliant and I have experienced no major issues until the past couple of days. When I click on the weather reports and it states for example' Local Area Weather report'-scattered cloud at 1400 feet and scattered at 3000 feet when looking down there are no low lying clouds at all and therefore differs with the weather report. I am currently flying from Gatwick to Iceland and passing over Scotland where in the real world there is currently a large amount of rainfall occurring and yet apart from the upper atmosphere clouds there is clear visibility of the ground with no clouds below apparent.
