hi all, so here is the problem. i load fsx choose the plane airport etc etc..after the plane has loaded and im sitting there setting the plane up the sound starts to become very distort. it sounds like static and then after about 2 minutes the sound cuts out all together. this includes outside the game also as if it kills all the sound to the computer...but when i log the pc off. the win 7 log off sound works. as if there was sound to start with.. this is been bugging me for some time now..iv checked the drivers and they are up to date. and iv checked to make sure im using the correct output device in the settings of fsx. -Alex Billington

Hi there I am trying to fly from Johannesburg to New York. When I create a flight plan I select the 'high altitude airway' option and click on 'find route' to see what way points etc I will fly. Everything goes according to plan until I save the flight. After a while when i want to load the flight to continue with it, the route indicator line(red line) on the GPS display goes missing, which means that the plane is 'lost' and has to be guided by die ATC the whole time. When I go to 'world' and open up the 'map' option I see that all the flight plan information went missing. When I go to my FMC I also see the all the flight plan info I entered in went missing. I purchased the Carenado Piper Archer to help me with my PPL training, but the Archer's performance does not match the Warrior due to engine power differences. I have also purchased the Just Flight Piper Warrior which flies much closer to the performance of the actual Piper Warrior I am training in. The VC of the Carenado is much nicer than that of the Just Flight so I would like to merge the VC of the Carenado Archer with the Just Flight Warrior. This will be my first merge, and my initial question is whether the Just Flight Warrior is FSX native. Hi Everyone I have installed Flight 1's Ultimate Traffic 2 version 2.09 (along with all service packs and seasonal schedules and setting both Commercial Traffic Density and General Aviation Traffic Density tabs in UT2's Traffic Options to 100 ) but the airports are very less populated with aircrafts ( both parked and moving) in comparison with two other programs I had installed previously (WOAI and My Traffic X 2013).I tried many many airports in the world with free and payware addon sceneries but the results were the same. Can someone tell me what's wrong with this program? And is there any way to merge UT2 with WOAI?

This is a live real time race running coast-to-coast from the Pacific to the Atlantic. Set in the late 1940s, the main aircraft are World War II surplus fighters (specified in a White List). I just bought FSDT zurich (LSZH) for FSX AI traffic is totally wrong , inside terminals etc. I followed a thread at FSDT forums but I couldnt resolve my issue and its not a FSdream team problem, I think.. When I untick LSZH (FSDT) in the library then all the AI are in the correct positions. There is obviously another AFCAD but I simply cant find the bugger :-( There is some sort of freeware there cause I can see it but its not showing up as LSZH in any of the 100 searches I have done. I have also downloaded and searched "airport scanner" for double AFCADS but nothing for LSZH. Im at a loss and looking for a new angle to approach this. Somebody mention…

All, I use Ultimate Traffic 2, with some additional repaints installed. I only add FSX-native models to the UT2-line, e.g. the UTT 787, 748, FAIB A32S and 737 series. I found that all the native FSX AI textures were 1024x1024, 4MB in size and in DDS format. In UT2, a mix of DXT3 (non mipped) and DXT1 (with mipmaps) are used. My question is - what is the ideal texture format for AI-traffic. Should I convert all textures to a standard format? If so, which one? Is mdl able to handle any texture, regardless of format or compression? Basically I am asking if there are some FPS to be gained by having all my AI textures converted to a certain format. I co…

There are quite a few programs that cannot find my FSX.exe since I installed it onto a different place than the standard C:/Program Files (x86)/Flight Simulator X When I launch a program to install (such as PMDG 777 installer), it asks me to manually navigate the installer. How do I manually navigate an installer? Very thankful for any answers

So I got into the old trick of converting textures and shrinking them down, especially for the Ultimate Traffic 2 planes. When the utility was done adding mipmaps and alphas to all the planes I thought I'd experiment and be clever at a payware airport; Flightbeam's KSFO. Now before I did anything TOO stupid, I backed up all the textures in the KSFO folder and then just to test things out I shrunk some of the textures down to 512x512 and re-mipmapped them and then fired up FSX. It looked like utter crap so I restored the backup of the textures but now... those textures that I edited.. are STILL loading on the airport! I even did re-install of of KSFO (without unin…

Guys Im not sure if this is the correct place to post for help but here it goes. I had FSX installed on my windows 7 computer and worked just fine. Well time went by and I upgraded my windows 7 to a windows 8 and decided to do a reinstall of the game. Well the uninstall worked fine and when I reinstalled the game it kept telling me that my product key wasn't valid. I searched around and found posts where it told me to do a fresh reinstall of the game so I uninstalled the game once again but this time the game wouldn't uninstall from my computer. Hi, I've got a whole runway i put the throttle to full at the end of the runway i got like 130 knots i pull up and i still crash into the lights how can i get more speed? and get earlier in the sky i usually put flaps on 10.

Have downloaded the 777-300-ER model, and the "Autothrottle hold" and "altitude hold" buttons seems to be linked to the "ignore anything I enter" subroutine. Activating them caused my aircraft to hit 350+ knots and dive into the ground. Is there an update to convert these to "do what it says on the button" subroutine?

Gents, I have a problem. I am unable to install A2A redux Shockwave lights. I point it to the correct drive and FSX folder, yet it keeps saying: "Either FSX was not found or there is file corruption is found in your FSX directory. This would likely be corrected by re-installing FSX" Doing some research on the developer's forum, they have mentioned: "OK, that is one of the original installers. Most of the forum discussion I have seen on this topic are a few months old. Am wondering if I should buy some of these OpenVFR products (terrain, mesh, autogen) e.g., for Europe/Germany. They look pretty good and seem to integrate well with FTXG. Have heard that they don't look so great at low altitudes, however. What is the consensus? Should one go ahead for these (they don't seem to be very expensive) or should we wait for the full FTXGlobal with OpenLC, Vector and Pilots Mesh?

Hi Guys I would like to find out if anyone have experience this in a DC3, both real life and FSX. I was climbing with a tail wind of 40 knots to 18000 ft, ground speed at 200 knots, Vspeed at 300. Was feeling really happy with this as you seldom get this kind of ground speed. But the engines suddenly went into idle when approaching 18000ft, and they wont go back to max power at all. So I have to decend...(note:all deicing were on) When I decended to about 12500ft both engine start to come alive and slowly reaching max power. So now I am cruising at 14000ft. Hi all, I know how I spend my money isn't really anyone's problem, but just wanted a second opinion from a more versatile community. Essentially, I have on the back of my mind two "different" addons. I like system complexity and for the past x years, I've been focused on what you consider as a contemporary airliner (boeings, ... I was going to say airbus but realise I don't actually fly it, DH8 etc.). Now I want to try something "different" but couldn't really decide, nor can I justify getting two as I know I won't be able to learn both of them.
