Good day I love beaing part of this site but I have noticed that we have ever topic under the sun about our lovable hobby but not one topic explains how to do a good back with a fast recovery what i mean by fast recovery is you all know that we are always adding things to fsx but as with me we cant always go back for a week or longer just because a new addon messed up fsx does any one here know what is a good fix many thanks

Hello all, I'm finally, slowly, working on getting FSX up and running for the PMDG777. I did a full install of FSX + Acceleration on it's own HDD (WD Black 500MB) this evening and followed the C++ patches as per NickN. I have a few friends that are going to help me do the serious stability/performance tweaks over the next few days so after the install I just loaded up an aircraft and started to just fly around my home airport to see what was new and make a few keyboard command changes. I just bought FSX and I have a copy of Ultimate traffic that I was using on FS2004 this is not UT2. Will UT work with my FSX or do I need to purchase UT2? Thanks Al

Hi Guys Is there anyone who bought the ultimate terrain soft. ? How does it work , is it good ? I love playing FSX but I want to improve the graphic and terrain , what do you recommend me to buy ? Also , can you create or improve the airports ? I would love to make FSX better and more enjoyable to play I heard xplane 10 is the best but I need to buy a new expensive laptop in order to be able to play it Does exist laptops with 64 bit ? I recently installed squawk and got onto vatsim and everything worked fine (except low fps 5/7fps!) but the 3rd or 4th time I started it up my Saitek Radio panel has gone dead. My yoke, rudder pedals, switch panel and multi-panel all work fine, but radio panel dead. I have ran the function check program and it is not receiving anything from the panel but when I check the devices settings in windows it says radio panel is there and functioning. Very confused about what to do? Cheers in advance! Running through win7.

I have used Opus on a single computer with four monitors active for a long time. The cameras function has worked remarkably well with my only problem - frame rates. That being said, I decided to run two monitors on the servers water cooled GTX Titan and wish to install two additional monitors on my FSX Client. Unfortunately, my FSXclient that can access the servers files and run VATSIM Squawkbox, Plan-G, Teamspeak and FSAcars concurrently without network connection problems, will not run Opus FSXclient. ok so i dont know if im in the right place, relatively new to these forums so again my apologies in advance i downloaded the Posky 777-200ER Saudia Arabian sky team livery scheme and im using the Greg wilson 777 panel, i updated the FDE/Model files from the posky website. Im running FSX Deluxe with SP2 yet when i fly it there is no wing flex at all when i look at it from locked spot and the when i try the reverse thrusters, it works but i dont see the animation on the engines anybody know why? thanks

Is there an alternate download link for the windscreen fix? The published link reports download quota exceeded. I finally got the scenery enabled from <fsx>\Addon Scenery\LHC_Alaska\scenery, there is a texture folder in the same location as the secenery - what is that for? It looks like it has a bunch of stock items. The texture.cfg files have several backup locations but none seem to access this folder. Are all the SimIcons supposed to work on the 2d panel? I have been unable to save a flight plan after entering al the data as instructed in the tutorial. I get to the save FLP press enter and the see OK? Enter, but can not get it highlighted to save.

Hi, Do any of you have a problem that you cant download the files from the internet during the installation, and when you enter that internet download step your app will becomr no responding? Can someone help??

I want more realistic contrails for FSX, and I've found a few freeware and a few payware. It was hard to tell which ones looked good and which ones didn't, although I want the sky to look more realistic instead of having such short and thin contrails. Anyone have any advice? Thanks, Nathan3219

Hello Fliers, I have read on this forum many times where some people have their OS installed on their 128 GB SSD HD and FSX installed on another drive to save HD space and just to have FSX on its on HD. This makes a lot of since. Here is what I don't understand, say you have your OS on "c" drive and FSX on "e" drive then how does this work? When you open FSX does it find the c drive and load? I have a spare 256 GB SSD and would like to load FSX on it. Regards, Lamar.

I have attempted to search for a topic like mine but to no avail. The PFPX templates only list the QW 757 in the Pratt Witney engine form and no Rolls Royce option. I am quite new to PFPX so I apologise for this, but is it something should worry about and if so, Is there a way to change this or create a template with RR engines option

After updating Orbx FTX Global and installing FTX Vector it appears the night water textures have changed. The water textures now consist of tiles and the color does not look the same and in some locations the night terrain textures have large squares sitting on the ground. I pressed the F12 key for the top-down view and all the while zooming out I could see the textures as they sat as mip maps starting from the smallest (where I was located) to very large tiles outside my view as you can see below. A backup copy of bkg.bmp was placed into the root FSX folder and into Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Texture folder and a copy of the WaterConstants.XML was placed into the FS…

Anyway, let me ask questions 1 - In approach charts, there are ils without category such as ILS/DME Rwy 17L.Why they don't indicate CAT? Differences Between Altitudes and Flight Levels On a few occasions now I have had users report discrepancies between the reported altitude in the shift-Z information line and the indicated flight level on the instrument display. Some people have even suggested that this is due to weather engine problems which of course it is not. It is actually down to the usual differences between Altitudes and Flight Levels. Global, Vector, Pilots Mesh, Rex4 Direct, Grayflyer EGJJ, DX10, and of course Opus. I cant belive how much things have improved over the last few years.
