I have had my head deep into OC'ing over the past few weeks and it seems I have forgotten most everything else! Seattle Intl looks good from a distance but as come in on final the runways all of a sudden are covered with plateaus with deep ravines running across them . I can see the runways at the bottom of the ravines. Seems I remember others having similar problems but can't remember what to do? I do run FTX Base Pack, Vector, NA PNW all updated and 140302 libraries. FSGlobal 2010 with FTX turned off. I did just do the DX10Fixer v2.0 upgrade but I don't see how that would effect it. I should know this! Help Rick S.

I'm having a system built for FSX. I watched a video where it was suggested that we install on a separate drive. In his case, "G" drive. He said that it made FSx load faster, w/o Windows 7 slowing it down. My new system is an i7 4770, 3.5-3.9 TB, HD graphics 4600 / Nvid. 780 3GB GDDR5 7000MHz, Samsung120GB 840 EVO series SSD, SATA 6GB, 1TB WD VelociRaptor. Left a few items out, but thought this would show, basically what I'd put on the "C" drive, along with many addon AC and FTX regions and airports. As a total noob when it comes to computers, seem to make sense to me, but then again, I'm a noob :blush: . Eagle

I'm shopping for a good quality scenery for Innsbruck and I found this from Aerosoft and although it does look really good it's quite old. Does someone know if there is a better/newer FSX scenery for this airport or maybe something that is in development and close to release?

I am considering buying Aerosoft US Cities Los Angeles. I have MK Studios KSNA, anyone know if there might be a problem? Tired of looking at desert on approach.

Has anyone merged the Default King Air with the Beechcraft King Air 350 Collins VC panels? I am not crazy about the FP models.Thanks!LW

Great job by Alphasim for the just released Blackbird.Overall a wonderful plane with some of the best documentation Ive seen. In depth background, with lots of pics and stories that really set the mood and even a long time fan like me learned a thing or two.Compared to the Pilots SR-71 that was released a good while ago, this one much more fleshed out.The best being the VR cockpit.:7 Really well done....The pop up panels are also well done and the plane takes advantage of some FSX only features that involve taking pictures/views which I have not tried yet.Flight model is tough with the landing and the terrible vis from the cockpit going to take a long time veteran like me…

Dear Moderator or FS colleague,I need some help if possible. Last week I have purchase the navigation software for FSX, FSTramp. Until this part everything it is okay. I download the file from AVsim, and install following the instructions on the manual. The system detects automatically the folder of my FSX, and installs something. My simulator is the FSX with Acceleration and lots of other Add-ons installed. Operating system Vista Ultimate and 8Gb of RAM. Unfortunately I cannot start with FSTramp. The F12 key doesn’t work. I've only just become aware of this product, does anyone have any experience of it? Looking at it, it seems to cover most of the world in different instalments, and if I understand correctly, can be used in conjunction with FTX Global in order to get better landclass? At the moment I only fly in Europe, and have UTX which deals with landclass for me, but outside of this region I have nothing other than FSX default, and I notice that when I fly to places like Turkey, FTX global (although the textures are great) seems very dull because it just uses repeating textures all over the place as it's using FSX default, whereas I understand a tailored landclass would allevi…

Hi,I recently upgraded my GPU and upgraded to an SSD. Fps is great, most of the time it's around 35-45 fps, sometimes it drops to 25, but that even happens on the best systems. But, there's one problem I'm having. Even though I have a tweaked FSX.cfg with bojotes tweaking tool, and I have an SSD, good graphics card, and I've set up Ryan's NVIDIA inspector guide, but still, I'm having some stutters. The stutters are only very small, but they happen a lot, all the time. It's not that bad, but it's noticeable. Here's, a video. I am using Fraps, which makes the stutters worse, but it's quite comparable. Fraps makes my FPS drop from 35 to around 25. I'm getting around 35 fps …

Hi all I have recently bought the Microsoft Flight Simulator X Gold Edition. My new computer has Windows 8.1. Once I make an attempt to install the game by inserting CD, it briefly loads and then immediately a pop up window display with an error whcih say as follows: Install Shield 1628. failed to complete Installation. So... Yesterday going through AppStore I found interesting app called b737 iHandbook. Did anyone try it? Seems a bit expensive but on the other hand if it covers all checklists with pictures it may be a great thing to expand knowledge about the cockpit of my NGX. Also saw it features comment why particular button or switch should be touched or not in different phase of flight. Could anyone recommend it? hi when changing from virtual cockpit views, and outside airplane views, graphics gone crazy buildings and trees rise to the sky then after 4 secs all goes normal, its like video card cant manage that, but my graph card is gtx780 and i74770k so harware is not the issue luis

Hello, Since i have my new pc fsx load really slow i dont get it my pc is good enough to load fast all the textures my pc specs are: I7 4770k 3.5ghz with turbo 3.9 Nvidia geforce gtx 780 16 gb ram 256gb ssd I tought this setup was good enough for fsx but the textures are loading very slow Can i do something to fix this? Hey guys,Just started to use more complicated procedures on FSX and i was wondering whether there was anyway of finding out what runway ATC will tell you to land on when you reach your destination. Cause at the moment using IFR or VFR i have to get within around 100nm of the airport before ATC will tell me the active runway. Just wondering if i could find the active runways out before i took off?Shane

Really a FSX textures issue so posting here rather than Hardware section....... I have just replaced my older ATI 4870 512MB with a new Nvidia GTX 660 OC 2Gb card. I have worked through most of the problems associated with the graphics card change over. Performance and visuals are now about what I would expect from my aging Core 2 Duo E8500 at 3.8GHz. The one problem I have been unable to resolve is that when ever any degree of water detail is selected I get very large light blue squares over most of the ground textures. The only way to avoid this is to have zero water effects. Did not have this issue with the ATI card, was able to use from zero to max water s…

I am using FS global 2010 for mesh and have come across a few airports that appear to be "raised" up on a step of sorts. The one that I use the most is FSDT KLAS and I would like to fly in there without having to fly onto that shelf. I know it's caused by the change in elevation on the runways but I am curious if by disabling the mesh in the scenery library it would fix this? I didn't want to just go disabling the mesh and cause a bunch of other issues.

Hi all,Do you have a virtual cabin in your iFly 747? Even if I loadthe Virtual Cockpit/Virtual Cabin version, there is novirtual cabin in the View/Airplane drop-down menu or whenflipping through views with the "A" key. The virtual cockpit is there, but so far I haven't usedany virtual cabin in FSX due to visual problems. dan

Hi there,I am just wondering what is going on with my Anti-aliasing. With AA turned off i can perfectly see the ATC text clearly the text on the guages etc etc however when i turn it on via the catalyst controller it improves the textures but makes all the text all blurryPlease see the text two screenshots to show you what i mean.as you can see the text is clear, this is before AA is appliedThis is after AA is applied as you can see it is very blurry now.Any ideas why it does this?Cheers Jboy
