I need help with me ENB settings to remove blurriness. I only use ENB to darken the scene, and have everything else turned off (BLOOM, REFLECTION etc...) When flying this evening I was hit with a moment of clarity about just how far this hobby has come. I'm 28 years old soon and came into the wonderful world of flight simming at the age of about 8 - so 20 years ago, on a program called Airbus A320 which I played on the Amiga. Hi everyone. I just bought shade and hoped it would give me darker night (just like my ENB does, but with blurriness) but it looks like there is no visible effect... Anyone know why? I am doing just like the manual "quick start" says I should do by the way

Long story short, problem arrises and I decide to reformat and reload everything and do some things different (like make P3D my primary flight sim). I have almost everything the way I want it except: weather I want to remote the weather on a different system. The last couple of years I have purchased ASE, AS2012, ASN and REX Essential + OverDrive, of all these I cannot get to work with Prepar3D except AS2012 if I ######ize it. Hey, I just purchased this aircraft, and in P3Dv2 I do notice that Spot View when the airplane in on the ground/Taxing, but once it is in the air, the camera panning is jerky, unless I turn off Slew (Y), it pauses the sim, and camera moves and hit (y) to again to enable it. And works fine once I am in Locked Spot Mode. And from what I read, this expected....I am just trying to confirm this, Locked Spot View is fine by me. And does anyone know where the Tiller command is in the Control Settings of P3Dv2/FSX, so that I can assign a joystick control to it? Thanks, -s

I have just installed my Majestic q400 (Newly purchased). I installed it with my directX up to date, and with administrator rights. Onece installation was complete, I opened FSX and selected the ACE (Air Canada Express) livery and noticed that something was very wrong. The texture was "see-through". None of the physical hard Fuselage was showing and I could physically see through one side to the other. I could see the seats, and all the inside cabin features, and windows, but i non of the fuselage colour was there and non of the air canada express writing either. as well, none of the wings, or tail section was showing. Hello, When parked at the gate, all other aircrafts that should be beside mine, are going up and down, like they are dancing in the sky. I use Ultimate Traffic II, i've uninstalled and reinstalled it. But problem still there. Best regards

Looking for a few suggestions as to why this has started happening. I'm using NCA,PNW,NRM and CRM also have FTX Global.also using REX for my water and Sky textures This only happens at night and doesn't happen outside of the ORBX regions ..i'm thinking it's a waterclass issue.how to fix it is where i'm stuck. Can't see the gridlines during Day,Dawn or Dusk. any ideas welcome before i reinstall everything thanks steve

Building new rig and want to leave enough space for growth. How much does FSX + a fair amount of upgrades take in terms of HDD space? By upgrades I mean 5-7 planes, ground environment, Sky environment, and about 10 scenerys.Can anyone estimate?

Is GSX easier on the FPS than default airport traffic? I found default airport vehicles to be harder on the FPS than default AI traffic so I turned it right to zero but it's getting a little dull without it. Plus they bounced all over the tarmac like they were possessed.

I am looking for good weather textures and weather engine. Though about REX 4 and Opus? I also heard that AS has a good weather engine. Any ideas?

After reading "AVSIM's Road Map for the Future", I was reminded of the value of this AVSIM website. Looks like they have many ambitious plans for hardware implementation in the future. With the recent down time of AVSIM for four days, I really missed access to the FSX and other forums. Also the download facilities. I have thought many times in the past about donating, but today I took time to actually do it...and it felt good. So if you have never done this and can afford to, at least take time to think about it. ps: I know no one at AVSIM and am not connected with them in any way, shape or form. Happy Flying!

First of all, big thanks goes to Steve (the author of DX10 Scenery Fixer) for the help and tips! When I saw shadow intensity improvement in the latest version of DX10 Scenery Fixer, I said why to not have this in DX9 mode? So I contacted Steve for the tips. With his help, it was pretty an easy task. ----------------------- So, as most of you saw, the Fixer adjusted the shadow intensity, so no more very pale shadows at visibility below 50mi. The intensity will stay the same down to 3mi visibility radius. Everything below 3mi - the shadow intensity fades. I've recently upgraded from a Q9450 (OC'd to 3.5 GHz), X48-Board, 4GB DDR3 RAM (OC'd from 1333 to 1750 MHz) and OCZ Vertex 2 (SATA3) to a i5 4670K (turbo enabled), a Z87 board and a SanDisk SATA3 SSD. Recycled my RAM and was able to squeeze 2000 MHz out of it (at lower voltages to boot!). The difference that four years of technology improvement, three quad-core CPU generations, triple memory bandwidth, higher clock efficiency and lower latencies make is awesome! Performance in FSX has improved considerably. I get constantly higher FPS, less dips and more smoothness, even at large airports with AI sliders at 100%. My pc detects the King ari throttle quadrant under hardware. I´ve installed the the usb software from flyelite FSX does not detect the throttle FSIUPC installed Jetliner yoke PFC installed and working. I have this throttle quadrant up and running on Windows XP but am unable to have FSX detect it on W7 Anyone?

Anone else having difficulty taxying at night with the Q400? I can hardly see the runway and mostly cannot see the guide lines at night. The bue lights are hard to follow. Any suggestions? henri

Hello I need some help, i got a hard time with the autopilot of my pmdg planes both 737 and 777, I take off and after 10 - 15 min flight i got this 1. The plane will start to loose altitude and gain speed. In this case the CMD A, VNAV and LNAV lights remain lit. I will occassionally get a Yellow Caution warning. 2. With the CMD A, LNAV and VNAV light still on the aircraft will reach a point where the aircraft will ignore a waypoint and just keep tracking on the last course. I have a quick question. I just started using fs2crew and starting up cold and dark 737. I start everything up and go through the checklists, but I can't get my radar to pop up. It says "map" in yellow in the center and does not show my heading or course heading for autopilot. Also I set up the FMC and that also does not show up when I plug in my route for my flight. Good day I need some advice on where should I install fsx This is my problem I have windows on one ssd and fsx on the other ssd and every time i run into a problem with windows it looks like i have to reinstall everything on both ssds so i reinstalled windows on ssd 1 fsx wont start although it is compleatly installed on the other ssd how do i fix this please

I said when I began to put my rig together in November that I wouldn't go that far, but reading advice in the FSX Learning Center and on Microsoft's website regarding W7, it sounded so easy. Brand new, my Samsung 17" monitor cost £180 so I shopped around and found a site on eBay selling reconditioned ones for £34 each with free postage. A week later I have a three screen set up! On my old computer (before I upgraded), I would hear an audible sound (beep beep) when I turned the autopilot off. I don't get that on my new FSX installation. I've looked everywhere for that control toggle. Do you know where that is controlled? Additionally, I'd like to turn up the volume on the plane's engine sounds when in SPOT view. Again, on my old setup, it seemed that was louder. Can't find the control for that. I've looked under SOUNDS in the FSX menu. Stan
