Hi all, Sorry for yet another weather engine question.... I tried the ASN demo (which is unfortunately over). The weather depictions are beautiful, but the thing I missed compared to OPUS, was the DHM effects. I never noticed the weather's effect on the airplane, even in bad weather. Was there a setting I missed in ASN, or do you need to add a camera utility (OPUS/EZDok), or perhaps accufeel do get these dynamic DHM effects when using ASN? I really don't want to buy two programs if possible. What makes ASN so superior to OPUS as a weather engine? ASN seems to get the majority nod here..... Thanks.

Hi guys, Just wondering if there is a utility to easily rewrite the camera settings in the aircraft.cfg? I know about EzDok, but that thing pretty much locks up the whole view options imo. What I mean is a utility that you can rewrite or add camera angles with, without having to edit them manually.

Hello there, since i bought my new system with Windows 8.1 I´m having trouble finding a traffic solution that works on this OS. I´ve tried UT2 and got lot´s of BEX crashes. Migrating MyTraffic 3D from Prepar3d to FSX also resulted in crashes. Is there any traffic solution that works out of the box on Windows 8.1? Traffic 360 perhaps?

So I have been playing fsx for years without a single problem. Recently I bought a new computer since I figured its about time. The excitement of getting a new pc instantly turned into disappointment and frustration. First I could not play at all. Everytime I choose my plane planned my flight and get the loading screen, it loads and when it completes, the screen is black but I can hear the engines. After trying everything to no avail, I checked the directx box and all was great... until I started to taxi. Taxiways are flickering like crazy and even after taking off I see random terrains next to me at 15000 feet. PLEASE HELP!

can anyone in simple terms instruct me how to import a fs commander 9.5 flight plan into a quality Wings 757???....this is driving me crazy!!!!...Thank in advance

5 years ago, I uninstalled fsx. I don't know, got boring after a while, add-ons were limited, so I stopped playing. Last week I stumbled on FSX videos from youtube and was totally blown away by the extent to which weather and scenery has advanced, and the aircraft selection, wow, espeically pmdg, very sophisticated and realistic! I just recently purchased this sim add-on and was exited to do so, as it has high reviews. However when I loaded it, selected a 737 Aircraft and hit Fly Now, I received a fatal error and FSX shut down. I have a high end computer with the Windows 8.1 platform (Brand New). I can't find any information on this issue and in all the reviews I read, there was no mention about this sim not running in 8.1. FSX Gold runs fine and I believe this sim add-on in newer. Any suggestions? Very frustrated.

I have MTX 5.4c and I had ai set to 20% like the manual states and barely saw any ai at the airports or in the air. I set it to 30% and still no difference. I was flying out of KDSM and there were no aircraft at the terminals or in the air for 50 miles. I have tried this at different times of the day. I also tried this at KTPA and same results. I would like to have traffic at the gates, taxiing, departing/arriving but no luck so far. Any suggestions?

Hi, I can't enable (pause break doesn't work) the SweetFX in FSX SP2, i have disabled Anti-alising, have tried DX10 preview mode, nothing seems to work. I have tried the split screen mode but that doesn't work either. Does this have something to do with Windows 8.1 or something? I have tweaked my fsx.cfg with the venetubo tweak thing, but i don't think that's the problem. My specs: I7-4770 3.4ghz GTX 770 Windows 8.1 also i have tried to change the pause break button to another button but that didnt work either.

No matter what airport, as soon as I load a flight my plane starts 2 feet in the air and crashes. Please help Antipope

Hi, I have recently just bought Flytampa grenadines and st Maarten. In these areas, with REX on and using really nice textures, with all sliders at max I get really smooth graphics between 25 - 35 in st. Maarten and-45 fps constant in the grenadines. and it looks awesome. But when I try and fly in a zone in fsx where I don't have any addons and it's all default, I get 20fps and reallchoppy performance. I don't quite understand why this is? The fly Tampa scenery is stunning and I don't get an fps hit. I'm using an iMac 3.4GHz with turbo boost, with bootcamp whilst my gaming PC is being repaired (I went a it crazy overclocking and burnt out my processor). I…

Finally learning this plane. It's very hands off but I find it interesting that the altitude still had to be constantly set. (unless I missed something?) The flight plan has the altitudes programmed in, why doesn't the plane change altitude it automatically from the MCDU?

Hi, I fly FSX with ENB Series as the colours are better. I also have ezdok installed but never used it as I didn't know how to work it correctly. But now I have watched some youtube tutorials and downloaded the AOA camera pack. It works great but in full screen if I switch view the screen flashes black for like half a second. It is really annoying, By some research I found out it was ENB and it doesn't happen in windowed mode. I also get flashing during the initilization faze but I ignore that. I found these 2 threads from a few years ago which discuss it but there is never a fix found. These were from 2011/2012, it is now 2014. Do people use something different to ENB? O…

Hi, have recently been having graphical issues with FSX that have become so persistent that I am no longer able to use the simulator,which is very disappointing as I have spent a lot of money on software and hardware for the simulator. The problems initially began with blocks of ground textures dropping out after a short period of use, every time I reloaded the software it would only be a matter of time before it would start again. Now I find a cannot adjust the autogen and when I reinstall FSX most of the aircraft are damaged,eg wings and parts of fuselages missing. I have tried reloading the operating system numerous times and scanning the entire system for malware and …

Dear all I'm trying to pin down a beautifully modelled small fast yet. Classic or modern, I really don't mind... I'm not after anything supersonic, but a small subsonic military trainer or classic fighter/bomber would be super that I can do some touring in. Hopefully able be chucked around a little, I'm really after something that flies "right" and has the systems covered well. Looking forward to your suggestions!!

Have an elevation problem surrounding the Taxi2Gate LTBA airport. The ground sinking so it it like a roller-coast ride if I slew my aircraft to these areas. I have a screen shot but do not know how to attach it to this topic. When I disable the airport in the Scenery Library the default airport is on a plateau, I know that this is an issue known in FSX. Have several add-ons including Ground Environments & Textures, Orbx Global 2008. Any idea if a "Flatten" file is available. In the Taxi2Gate scenery file is a "Flatten" bgl, if I disable this then I get the same issue at the airport itself. Sorry, same forum topic posted twice

I have installed bunches of airports no problem but recently I was looking through my scenery cfg file trying to figure out my issue at KLAS when I realized I actually did not install ORBX PNW. So I went and DL'd the file and installed it. However it didn't automatically install to the scenery area. So I went and added each PNW file that was listed in the ORBX folder once in FSX. Was that the correct thing to do or is scenery installed differently than airports?

I'm using Autostar X and I've noticed that the stars and moon disappear and reappear during night flights. Any thoughts?
