Anybody could suggest a B747-100 or B747-200 freeware panel for FSX? Or at least a FS9 B747 100/200 panel compatible with FSX? There is a lot of FS 9 B747 compatible with FSX, but the same is not true for panels. I would like to cross the Atlantic with a Pan Am 747, but had no success to find this plane with a panel compatible with FSX yet. Thank you!

It's advisable to disable some programs before starting FSX. I have Avaist Anti- virus. I listed FSX plus all the add ons as exemptions. Do I still need to disable that or are the exemptions good enough?

Hey there, First I have to appologize for posting this question. It must have been discussed a thousand times already but I was not able to find it. I am looking for a way to assign keys to set, in- or decrease the speed, altitude and heading in the mcp of my PMDG777. Is there a chance to have for example something like shift+a+scroll for in- and decreasing the altitude and shift+s+scroll for in- and decreasing the speed? What I have tried earlier was to set the mcp on my second lower screen so I could set it without switching views. But that would not work in full screen mode :-( I am also open to buy a cheap panel that does the job but i think I would have to d…

I have a strange problem with the map of FSX. Starting FSX and opening the map all is fine but once I start a flight, the 'points' of the geographical coordonates in the left margin ( i.e. N40° 33.85 W116° 13.55) change into comma's (N40° 33,85 W116° 13,55). The result is that FSX can't save any flight because the coordonates are flawed. Has anyone met this curious behaviour? Who can help me? vanrillaer

Hi all, I have recently reinstalled my Q400 after installing an SSD in my computer and now i seem to have a problem with the plane flying with a permanent 10 degree right-hand bank when flying on autopilot. Strangely, the plane still flies in a straight line and follows the flightplan. The rudder is shown as centred. I believe my hardware (saitek yoke) is properly configured. Since reinstalling the Q400, i have also installed the latest patch, in case that is relevant. Many thanks Bill

I have the Thomas Ruth FS2004 installed in FSX. I have converted the panel to all compatible FSX gauges. The plane flies great. I can get the Shift-E and Shift-E-2 to work the access door and the ramp. I cannot get the wingfold, tailhook, water rudder or the Concorde Nose Extend or Retract commands to work. Has anyone got the animations controlled by these commands to work in FSX? Thanks, Bob.

Does anyone else fly only with cirrus clouds? I love how great it looks flying through high resolution cumulus clouds, but as soon as you get up high, I find that even with REX and Opus, they always look really poor, and quite unrealistic. I recently made a custom weather theme that just had a 3 or 4/8 scattering of cirrus, and love the effect. It's also very kind on frames so great when in the NGX or Aerosoft A320 at a busy airport with lots of traffic and all of the FPS hogging that comes with that! For me, the cirrus clouds look great! This would sort of be my first post on this forum, so I'd like to say hey! Anyway, I downloaded some addons from simviation yesterday and they've been bugging me for a while now. I downloaded the Experimental 777 - 300ER House Livery on Posky's 777. upon loading the aircraft I discovered that the buttons are kinda messed up and some of them don't even work. he's a screen. (Look at the autopilot panel) Also I downloaded the Thomas Ruth A330 - 300. when I loaded it up there is not cockpit at all. just me floating around.. I looked at the panels folder, found nothing, added the A321 panel, and it did not work. how do I fix this?

Hi,my names Aaron i've had the CS75 for some time but just recently started flying it, a friend told me that the QW was better, so i bought it, but i noticed that the QW75 doesn't have as many clickable Buttons and nobs dont have as many stages as the CS757. for example, i cant click on the window heat buttons or the the APU Gen button they just stay on the whole time. am i doing something wrong or dose the QW not have as many Buttons and nobs to click?

Eaglesoft's support forums have been of no help. When they do work, no one has an answer. So here's the deal. When I'm flying the citation x, a little ways into the flight the engines and all systems will power down, as if just starting the flight cold and dark. The cones and engine/pitot covers all appear too, floating along with the plane or otherwise attached. I have no clue as to what is going on here. Any suggestions at all??? Also, for those familiar with the plane, might his have to do with the feature panel? The one that allows you to check the boxes for things such as the pitot covers and whether or not to start cold and dark? Your guess is as good as mine.

Hi all, I've been having issues with stutters happening abouy every 60sec's or so for about 5sec's in duration dropping the frame rate from a steady 30FPS to 10FPS and while there are no stutters the sim runs as smooth as silk, I have followed all the guides in setting up fsx, DX10Fixer, tried all combinations of Bufferpool settings fsx settings, Rex settings, cloud resolutions, antivirus settings as well as uninstalling the antivirus program, slider positions and the list goes on to no prevail so I'm here to see if anyone can help me out, I do recall quite a while ago I never had this problem until I installed ASN, but I'm not saying this is the problem it's just not as …

I'm using a USB interface model 2125 from Desktop Aviator to assign some buttons and switchens and it works very well. What I'd like to be able to do is assign buttons 0-9 to choose selections from within the ATC such as selecting airports etc.. Unfortunately, I don't see how I can do this like I've done for assigning other things such as Auto Pilot options etc.. I would think this would be possible. I'm hoping I won't have to use the keyboard for these. Thanks Mitch

I've just installed the Saitek throttle quadrant (correctly calibrated) and have an interesting 'problem'.... Whenever I start a flight (with engines already running) and initially advance the throttle to taxi the plane, the engines cut out. This happens on any aircraft. I start the flight again (using the 'reset' option on the top pull-down menu) and the throttle then works correctly. This happens every time. Any suggestions...? Thanks, Toni.

Hey, I'm currently using EZ Camera on FSX, v1.17. I've got all three effects turned on for my 'Aircraft' views, however when my aircraft is turning, it does some glitchy thing. I've tried disabled all the effects however it still does it. When I turn EZCA off however, the glitching stops, which leads me to think it's this. Hey all, Last night I purchased the FS Genesis World Terrain Mesh for FSX. I have been at it since 1pm and it is now 9pm- I am confused as all get out. I followed the method I found on another forum and created a separate director outside of FSX and it now contains all the .BGL files in a subdirectory called "scenery". I select it in FSX, and it goes through the process of building the terrain data, objects, etc. However, it does not look different at all from the stock scenery. ZERO difference to my eye. Now, I fully leave the option that I am stupid completely open. Is this terrain mesh NOT supposed to be stand-alone? Is it supposed to work …

Hi, have you guys already seen the new Yak-50 by the new development team(?) A1R Desgin Bureau? The real Yak-50 might not be a beauty but the FSX version is very remarkable! It's an excellent little aircraft with a detailed simulation of the systems, good flightdynamics and beautiful visuals. It reminds me a lot on the great Sibwings An-2...the Yak-50 is made in a similar fashion. Hi, My first post so please go easy on me! I have just rebuilt my FSX PC (i7 3770k 4.5Ghz OC, 16Gb DDR3 1600, GTX 680 2Gb, ASUS MoBo) with Win 7 64bt Home on SSD-1 and FSX including addons on SSD-2. Run through Nick's superb guide on optimizing Win 7 for FSX and also Word Not Allowed's guide for configuring nVidia inspector. I have Word Not Allowed's setup with no other tweaks. I have kept my install as clean as possible, only installing: GEX UTX ASN Airbus X Extended UK2000 Gatwick and Edinburgh I have a superb looking SIM now however on the ground and specifically only in VC in the Airbus X do I get a stutter, especially noticeable when taxiing a…
