Does anyone know when I'm flying in the Airbus Extended, when there is no weather set other than the default weather, why is it that when introducing any kind of weather from within FSX, not any external weather engines, the aircraft yo-yos up and down the set altitude setting, and even clearing all the weather thereafter makes not the slightest bit of difference as that yo-yo behaviour continues? Is this aircraft only set to work correctly in default weather?

I am seeing some very odd behavior in FSX. I use 0.80 initial zoom in the VC for all aircraft, but for some reason the panel is now zoomed so it appears to be at, say, 120% zoom. See screenshot below. As a workaround, I can zoom back to 0.50 to get the same zoom I used as default, but even when I save this setting in the cameras cfg file it still reverts to this over magnification if I change views. I first thought it was EZdok, but even with Ezdok disabled I get the same behavior. Also tried rebuilding the fsx.cfg file, but that did not help either. Any ideas?

"The weather theme could not be loaded. Please check that this file exists and try again." I keep getting this error loading FSX. Running FSXServer 2.24.1 on a solo machine. I have LWE enabled, Sharing enabled and FSX installed to the D:\ drive and Opus knows where FSX is installed.. I've reinstalled twice.. What's going on? -Damien

I've asked about this before but I haven't been able to solve the problem! It's pretty much the only thing between me and flying nirvana. I've uploaded 2 short videos that show the problem I'm having with clouds around mountains. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it! This happens with all types of clouds if they touch mountains, cumulus, stratus, or cirrus (if I manually put them there). It happens with any weather engine, even just the default one.

When I start FSX w/ EZdok installed my FSX config file changes.... WideViewAspect=True changes to WideViewAspect=False When I delete EZdok and start FSX the config file does not change so it appears EZdoc is changing the config file from =True to =False. I am running three screens in surround and need the config file to stay on =True. Any thoughts on why this may be happening and how to fix? Thank you!

Hi everyone, This is getting very frustrating for me. I am having trouble making safe landing with Project Airbus A380 merged with Thomas Ruth Panel. Whenever I try to land this plane, it always lands nose first. When I pull back on throttle just before touchdown, the plane suddenly levels with still another 20 feet to go down. Then I push little on the throttle which causes me to get hard crash landing after such a perfect approach. The plane is light on fuel after a long haul flight. Is there a way I can resolve this. Any help would be very much appreciated. This was also happening with me without the merge but it was not as this intense.

Gents and Ladies, can we not start a petition to ask Microsoft to increase the VAS address of their 32 bits FSX or make it a 64 bit application....This hobbit is growing stronger and stronger. We are many and we should be able to start a movement to ask them fix the problem or at least let other company to fix the issue if they release the code to certain conditions. It is just not acceptable to continue this way.... We need to hear from Microsoft and see what they say. Thanks, Regis

One of the things I really used to enjoy about flightsimming was all the speculating about upcoming sims, long before they came out. Of course, we don't know what we are talking about, but it's fun to gab, and thereby learn a little about our preferences and prejudices. I'm in the process of reinstalling my sim and when I came to the point where I install cloud textures I remembered somebody posting on the forum about some freeware cloud textures that apparently looked incredible, better than payware. I have always been using REX stuff for my clouds, but I want to give these freeware ones a go now that I got a completely virgin FSX installation. Does anybody know which textures I'm talking about, what they are named and where I can download them from? -wims

Hi I'm sorry if this has been answered before but I would like to know if this is normal? Refer to the screenshot below: The area circled in green shows that there should be cloud coverage around the aircraft. However, you can see that its completely clear around it. Is this normal or am I missing some settings? Please advise

I just got the Majestic Dash 8 and absolutely love it. A bit of a problem I'm having (if you can really call it that) is that I'm not sure where to fly it. I know it's a really popular plane so I'd like to get some suggestions if possible. Of course, this might be a good place for suggestions for other planes as well. Thanks!

Hi, I was thrilled to see that an autorudder setting made it into the latest hotfix for those of us without hardware pedals. However, I must be doing something wrong as it seems to have no effect on my machine. I even upped the factor from 0.5 to 1.0 and I'm seeing no difference from before the hotfix. Turns are not coordinated unless I use rudder to compensate (which is a real pain, and feels incredibly awkward, without pedals). Autorudder is on in FSX settings. What am I doing wrong? I apologize for this, but I've read countless posts and nothing seems to answer my terribly dumb question. So, I've managed to get this thing down on a ILS landing twice now (KPIT to KEWR). I know people are having trouble with the ILS holding its capture and need to make sure everything is still on. My dumb question: Since I know I have had this same problem, I don't know what I should be looking for when the ILS loses the localizer. Does something flash, does the "GS" just go away? Hi. I've just done a complete system reinstall, and after installing OpusFXS I'm not able to start FSXSERVER.exe. I'm receiving this error: I've tried to install Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0, but the installer says that this is already a part of my OS (W7). Could you please provide me som help?

I'd like to find a freeware 777 with VC and wing views. I had one on my older computer, but when I got a new one, I have been unable to find the file I had. I've checked SimViation and other sites, but many have no VC nor wing views. I know there are a few payware 777's out there, but I'm generally not a flyer of large passenger planes. However, I can remember even having an Asiana repaint that I added to my base 777 so that I could try to replicate the landing in KSFO at different speeds. I would appreciate any direction on this. I'm sorry I feel like a dufus, but I don't recall how this thing became part of my FSX installation and I want to get rid of it asap! It is not showing up as a program to be uninstalled. Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this has been reported before, I can't find anything previous so here goes... Does anyone have problems with MA Amsterdam having flickering ground textures at the airport, specifically the taxiways and runways? I know AMS is at an odd altitude, does the scenery level need raising a foot or so to ride over the default scenery? Many thanks

I am wondering what the minimal processes are needed to run the computer and fsx. I have active sky running and fsdreamteam airports. I have unchecked all the scenery I don't use for the flight but when I am the airport just at the gate I get the beeping OOM sound. I can't fly into FSdreamteam KLAX or out of because of the OOM. I have my traffic and traffic turned down to 20%. Roads, ships and boats down to 2%. Any help would be greatly appreciated. FSX is using on average 2,200mb in the process window. Hey guys, So like most people i use Nvidea Inspector with FSX I have a question Regarding The Vsync Part of Nvidea inspector In my FSX.CFG i dont have any Forcefullscreenvsync tweaks active as i have found it affects fps. If i dont have any vsync tweaks active what should be the setting in nvidea inspector ?? Eg use 3d application setting setting or 1/2 Refrsh rate just to name a few.
