Hi All I have a problem with some airports where I don't see the amount of AI traffic I should from UT2. I believe the problem may lie in the AFCAD file for the airports in question. Is there a tool that enables you to see which gates are marked as 'available' for an AI aircraft to occupy, and which are not? And ideally to 'turn on' the gates that are disabled? Thanks

I am looking to purchase another high quality add-on for FSX, and I have narrowed it down to Coolsky's DC-9 Classic and Flight Sim Labs' Concorde X. I am aware the the two aircraft are quite different, but between them, which do you believe provides the most immersion and the most "fun" experience to fly? I am open to any other suggestions for "fun" classic airliners. Thanks in advance!

Hello all, has anybody else experienced low frame rates with UK2000's latest London-Stansted Xtreme scenery (V3.2)? Flying the Majestic Dash-8, I only average about 13-15 fps in the VC. Newcastle (EGNT), albeit smaller, works a lot better for me at 30+ fps. Even at highly detailed airports like Orbx's Brisbane (YBBN) I get at least 18-20 frames using the Q400. Knowing UK2000 sceneries as highly performance friendly, I wonder if there are any pointers as to why Stansted doesn't seem to be running as smooth. Many thanks.

I have asked this question on the Opus forum and the TrackIr forum and received their replies to my problem as basically " not their fault" . I would like to know if anyone has had this problem with running TrackIr 5 and Opus weather when starting FSX and then Track IR and the sim loads and upon starting TrackIr usually after starting to taxi, I lose 1 of the green lights on the TrackIR module which means that the Track Ir lost the connection to the sim. I have set up TrackIr according to Opus which is to go into the NaturalPoint install folder and to rename the 2 sim connect entries and start the programs in the correct order and then as I said earlier the TrackIr d…

Hello everyone. I have PFPX and while it is a fantastic program is actually has too MANY features for me. I just want the route "plane" and simple. Do you have any reccommendations? I know of FSCommander and vroute I think its called. I just need any program that will just give me the route, with no weight/fuel other calculations. Thanks, Matt.

This is probably a very silly question, but is it possible to use a third party weather software - like Opus - and have it inject real world weather into the sim, BUT ignore rain?! Basically I like to fly in real world conditions, and I like the fact that it updates along the route, however I thoroughly dislike the rain effect in FSX and it ruins the enjoyment for me. So is it possible to somehow get the best of both worlds? For example, I love the way Opus simulates a dark, foreboding sky that looks like it's going to chuck down with rain any minute, but don't like the actual rain :lol: Is there an effect I can disable in the sim perhaps, so that it can't rai…

Hi fellas, I'm trying to download Rivatuner 2.24, which I understand includes D3D overider for dealing with Vsync issues. As to date I have been unable to eradicate tearing when using Steve's fixer, so I thought I'd try just one more time with this utility. However, I am having some real issues when downloading. If I follow the download link it takes me to some very suspect site that gets me to download something that has nothing to do with Rivatuner and is also flagged up with Avast. I've spent almost an hour trying to find this darn app. Can anyone help with this, cheers.

I hope Im in the right forum thread to post this. When you have amazing addons like pmdg aircraft and rex for weather, I find it kinda annoying that AI aircraft do as they please. They suddenly come towards you or across your path. In the air my TCAS is always going off for conflicts. This is ridiculous and far from real. On the ground at airports, ground vehicles do as they please as well including driving on the taxi line. Hello? There is roadways for vehicles. And why do they have to drive right in front of you. For this reason I turned off no crash for aircraft and ground vehicles because I have to run over them often. Stupid. Any fix for this? I…

Hi Guys I've been "out of the game" for some time, and am now coming back into the wonderful world of FSX. What would you say offers the best overall package of AI traffic? A few points: - I fly only jets, therefore GA traffic does not interest me in the slightest. - I don't too much care about up to the minute schedules, but I want a "believable" environment when I depart or arrive at an airport. Dear fellow simmers, I made a post today over at FSDT-Forum asking if Ground Service X (GSX) would be made available for General Aviation (GA) flyers like me. I asked if it be possible to develop some special features that allow us GA-pilots to take advantage of GSX. I mentioned that a fuel truck that holds next to the plane and a guy/girl climbing on a ladder to insert the fuel hose into the aircrafts wing would be terrific. Or the same happening at the fuel station if I arrive, apply the parking break and cut of the engine. I have heard that Nvidia was the best kind of GPU for FSX. However, I have to purchase a new PC and there is currently no Nvidia card from where I am buying but there is the AMD R7. Will this run FSX ok? Just want to hear from persons running FSX with AMD cards.

All of a sudden I've noticed extra black (Dark colored) RWY's at quite a few Default FSX Airports with big Yellow "X"'s at either end (indicating RWY is closed). Funny thing is that I've never noticed this before and do not recall vanilla FSX to have these? Does anyone else get this and is there a possible add on that added this? What is this exactly; a Bug or Feature or an indication that the RWY's have changed from the default that FSX installed???

Folks....from the flight deck again, We know its been a few weeks since we have been able to give a quick rundown of what's been happening behind the scenes. The developers have been putting in many many hours as we work on the PRO Edition, and the "Beta Team" has just been sent a new beta of the upcoming version 1.008 for further testing. As for the PILOT Edition, we have not not been neglecting this project either. We have been working on getting most of the bugs that have been reported fixed and tested. as you khnow in amd driver 13.9 fsx was crashing to desktop and be back to and older version to get it work again but what about 14.2 beta does it safe to update anyone try it with fsx

I have looked around but can't seem to find either a definitive answer or an answer that was in easy to understand language. I would like to permanently change the angle that the VC cockpit uses instead of pressing 2 on the numpad for it to reset back to centre when I look away. This is to view the instrument displays especially in the default 737 and 747. I understand it may be possible in either the aircraft.cfg or cameras.cfg files but not sure how. I have noticed this problem at least at two airports: EHAM (default with Ray Smith's wonderful AFCAD) and Marcelo Veneziale, Posadas Guillermo and Pablo Contouris' SABE. Could it be as something as simple as a scenery database ordering issue or something more complex?

Hello folks,I am going out of my mind here: FPS are moving between 10-20 at KSEA with autogen on normal and scenery density is also on normal.I set visiblity at 20miles i have no AI airplane traffic and only cars traffic at 30%.I modified the fsx.cfg file with the fiber =0.33 and some other autogen settings (i read it at the PMDG site)What am i doing wonrg ?I installed the latest chipset driver + videocard driverPlease help..

Ok.......I almost feel embarrassed asking this question.....but.. After much searching the only elevator trim control I could find is on the yoke. Unfortunately no cursor is displayed when I hover over the yoke button to suggest a click spot and the buttons do not respond to my mouse left click or middle scroll wheel. Is there another manual pitch control button or pitch wheel that I have overlooked or is there maybe a problem with my mouse control? I use EZdok and have disabled the middle mouse wheel. My assigned joystick buttons work fine in controlling elevator trim, but I like to work via the VC whenever I can. All help appreciated. Bruce

Does the Opus Camera system have the same functionality as the EZDOK camera system, which is excellent, although painful to set up? More specifically, does the Opus system have ground vibrations, DHM, turbulence effects and the like? Can an external camera be positioned outside the aircraft? Best Erich

I had high hopes for the SP2 for this bird. So what has changed? Texturesizes and other things maybe, thats fine... BUT! The crazy frameratedrop from 28-30 when sitting on ground ready for take off, to from the point when you have made your takeoff and start to fly, (and I started my trip from default ESSA, with NO AI traffic and no other high settings in my FSX) ITS STILL drops down to 12-14 fps (sometimes even as low as 9!!!) and stutters like h###!!! ...And I HAVE changed the config. to the "lighter" (1024 textures etc.) version in the tool provided in the "new" package... I have downloaded several AI BMI Regional ERJ135 and 145 from the AVSIM Library, but I have noticed that there seems to be another one on the AI Malcontent website. Unfortunately, the link does not work anymore. It looks like G-RJXA, and I was wondering if anyone here has a copy of that repaint that they can send to me? On a side note.....if any AI painters are reading this, a fleet of BMI Regional 32bit repaints would be very nice :wink:
