Hi all long time ga simmer here, thinking I'd like a helicopter I see Cera sim and milviz are two options I'm looking at, never flew much just stock chopper looking for a nice flyer and maybe auto pilot, milviz looks to have a button to stabilize, any thoughts?

This video is probably the best made for an FSX airport addon I have ever seen. I am going to buy this addon just because of this video. I never had any desire to fly into Moscow until now.

Hi Stephen, I hope you can help me with a maddening problem. I just built up a new computer using an Asus motherboard which is all working just fine. I have P3D 2.4 installed and working fine. I also have OPUSFSI installed on the host machine (not using OPUS across the network). I am encountering some problems with the use of SimConnect. I have several other utilities used both across my network and on the local machine that is running Prepar3D such as SuperTrafficBoard, PLAN-G etc. I am also using several Saitek Flight Instrument Panels which used to be dependent on a specific version of Simconnect. FSX runs ok on my rig with all ad ons, tuned and so on. But I had a problems, Nights: Stars Close to the horizon, not faded away closer to the horizon. Seen it? Moon. Okay moonshine. Yupp, not to consume but the effects in the cocpit. Bright as in daytime, You follow? Stripes at night in the sky. Well, hate to see the night sky striped. Horizon bright, next a new layer of more darkness and so on until darkness. What did I do to to fix this? This may be old news to some (or most) of you but it was new news to me, so I decided to post some sort of tutorial about it. I know: you can't load FSX flightplans in the GNS 530. That simple fact is one of the reasons I didn't buy the RXP GNS 530 up to now... I've been thinking about buying it for years and years. Hi I recently bought the 24 and am having problems with localizer capture and descent. I'm going from KSFO to KSTS with the approach of ILS 32 with the transition of SAU loaded in the GPS. ILS freq set tp 109.30. GPS/NAV switch set to GPS. The 24 does find the localize, that is. the little G/S triangle appears and as I et closer, it drops but the aircraft does not descend. I know I'm doing some thing wrong, but don't know what. Thanks, Mark PS Love the jet!

I've a problem with my addon menu. I have some addons and had a problem with Ezdok before, it was not showing up in the addon menu (http://forum.avsim.net/topic/397598-ezdok-not-working/#entry2578411). Deleted RAAS gave me some space for Ezdok again, no RAAS anymore but i could live with that. Now i bought Frankfurt Hahn X which creates a new line in the addon menu. Without this the addon cant run. Same problem as before is occured: Ezdok is gone. I've tried to deleted some dll's but it seems Ezdok and Frankfurt Hahn cant show up both in my addon menu. It is the one of the other. Can someone help me with this problem?

Hello, I just installed the RXP GNS430/530 WAAS and when I install the RXP with the Realair Duke V2 config panel, everytime it crash when FSX is loading, same for Carenado's planes with rxp installers. But when I install the RXP with the default rxp installer it works and no crash. Can anyone help me ? Thanks in advance. I can't have a 3D GNS and the default gps's remains here, that's a little anoying.

Backed up my complete FSX install in case things went wonky (they didn't) and installed it today. I can't see any differences. Is there anything here for the Base-only, non-Vector (I have UTX), non-OpenLC user?

Hi guys, searching for a plane which trys to get you killed every time you fly it? Which has it´s own head and doesn´t want to obey your orders? A plane which does not only look like a flying door but also feels like one? Then get the English Electric Canberra PR.9! Every flight a challenge, when you get it down, you´ll be a true hero. Ok, it has it´s good sides with being able to fly up to about 50.000 ft, having quite agood range and being somewhat fast. But it will try to kill you, no matter what you do! This is my initial feeling about that gem from Just Flight.

Hi all, I am currently experiencing flickering on light poles, runway lines and close trees to these objects at all airports. I am not using dx10 and have struggled to find a solution. I have also used tabs/Ryan's nVidia inspector guide which has helped everything but the flickering of these textures, as well as tweaked my cfg. I am currently using orbx Tasmania demo and Brisbane freeware as my testing regions. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. My Specs: i7 4690k 8gb Ram 2gb nVidia gtx 760

Just tried flying to KMCD in bad weather. Visibility and breakout altitude were extremely low. I was relying on the RNAV GPS 8 approach which shows a WAAS channel listed on the charts, so I figured it was WAAS compatible. I was in the RA Lancair Legacy, and never got the glideslope. Had to divert to KCIU for a good 'ole reliable ILS. Am I wrong in assuming the airport has WAAS or could there be a problem elsewhere in the ini or something?

For some reason I am currently experiencing very light blue inland water and sea colour textures which look very unreal,they should be much darker. I have my water setting within FSX on Low x2 and I am using REX 4 textures and also have Orbyx Global and Base installed which also included the FTX products for the whole of the UK. I did install FS Water configurator but because of these strange colours I uninstalled it.. I would appreciate any help/guidance or observations please. Many thanks in advance. Michael

I remember changing some settings in nvidia control panel to make the scenery seem a little darker and less washed out . Following a new driver update I can't remember what I changed and stupidly didn't write it down last time. I am sure I found some settings here on avsim but been searching now for a few hours in vain. Can any one help? Thanks for any advise

hello friends, i wanted to uninstall rex completely so i ca install rex essentials everything was going as smooth as butter, uninstall completed successfully however upon opening up fsx and jumping into a random flight i can still see all the rex textures e.g clouds, sky theme, etc...., is there something i have missed for the textures to still be visible in fsx prior the uninstall?. many thanks

I don't want FSX to start every flight @ Friday Harbor. How can I change this behavior? Which file(s) needs to be tweaked, if any? I'm not interested in DisablePreload=1 tweak in fsx.cfg or saving a flight loaded at preferred location - it's not what I'm after. Rather I'd like to know if it's possible to tweak default FSX behavior at all. Thanks!
