Hello everyone, lately, I am getting error G2D.dll when flying in MSFS2000. I fly on-line, with PIC767 and POSKY combination. When I leave the computer for cca 40 min. (I fly 1x, and usually I do not spend over Atlantic or remote places sitting next to the computer.) After cca. 40 min, I will get the in-famous message "This program...." And my FS2000 shuts off. I do not know what is the problem, but if anybody knows, please help me. Thanks a lot!Best regards,Andrej Lippay :-wave

If you were flying a C172SP out of a noise sensitive field like KSNA in the States, how would you take-off as quietly as possible. Would you go for Best-Angle-of-Climb or Best-Rate-of-Climb, or would you not bother in a 172? Obviously you would do it at full throttle. I assume the difference is that one gets you highest in the shortest horizontal distance, whereas the other gets you highest in the shortest possible time, is this correct, and if so which is better for noise? Presumably you would do a no flap landing (for minimum throttle settings), or would you not bother about this as well? Regards HK

OK gurus, don't mince words! Spell out what the Dream Machine is made of today, including mainboard, CPU, RAM, heat sink-fan, video, audio, drive and controller type, power supply, OS, and hell why not--case :()Remember, money is virtually no object, the goal is Best Performance from a smoothness and framerate at max settings standpoint. We might fudge on the drive system as that can get crazy, but spell it all out if you can.Good luck!Noel

I know that numbers don't mean much, but I don't think I'm getting all I can from FS2K2.My PCMark scores are 4605 CPU, 2889 memory and 463 hard drive. When I look at the system info. under memory it lists 512 MB RAM, but lists three sticks of 128 RAM at 0 freq. I don't understand why it does this. I've got three slots on my mobo, but using only two, each with 256 RAM in them. How do I make sure my RAM is running at the speed it does, I thought it was just auto…

Max, Paul, Elrond and all you other hardware gurus out there.I almost pulled the trigger to buy a Gainward Geforce3 Ti200 last week but have held back waiting to see the price points for the new Nvidia Ti4200 which appears to be around $50 more than the the Gainward card. My question is this. If I purchase the Ti200 now, will it still be a good card for the next year or, do I spend the extra $50 which I really don't want to and get the Ti4200? I tried some things with my current system last night that really started to make me think. My system is a TB950 (non OC'ed), 512 PC133 and an Aopen Geforce2 MX video card. I downloaded Powerstrip and overclocked my video card t…

Hi all,General discussion. Falcon 50 or for that matter other jets, precision on the last mile to touch down in this sim.I have a very quick system, Dell 8200 2 gig, 256, GeForce 64 DDR, Microsoft Pro digital joystick. FS2K seems to be inaccurate on final, the last few hundred feet. What was accurate on controls before this final, seems to be too inaccurate just before touchdown. Joystick sensitivity could be an issue, but it's been calibrated for the sim.Not to say I haven't had great landings, I have, but some are dead no matter what I do. I just wonder if the problem is with the code for MS's various airports in their code.FWIW,Greg

I have been trying some of the new default aircraft that are included in FS2002 and try to follow the included kneeboard checklists whenever possible for that added realism. The problem is, I find myself spending a good amount of time looking for some of the switches and instruments on the new panels I am not familiar with. I have looked at the included manuals but have not found any diagrams of the instrument panels naming the instruments and switches. Are they included in FS2002 somewhere that I have missed or aren't there any at all? I know I have seen them in other sims such as FLY! If not, any suggestions where I can find any? Tha…
