Morning all.PC's are like women, just when you think you understand one, it all blows out the window (grin!).For reasons that are beyond me, my scenery, in particular airport buildings and runways, have turned to custard. My machine isn't that grunty, so have the sliders at about 60% mark, but the scenery seems to have lost a lot of it's definition.I haven't mucked around with the sliders, they're pretty much where they've always been, but I'm experiencing problems with making the basics look OK.For some reason, runways/buildings seem to look better at dusk/dawn, when lights etc are on. Seems to me it should be the other way around.Other scenery is OK, just airports, buil…

I have problem when printing out a diploma from FS2k2. If choosemy secondary Lexmark 5700 ink jet printer the computer hangs up and I have to press the reset button. After reboot the system tolds me there areprint job. When I choose to print it only a page with my name isprinted.If choos my primary Epson 5800L laser printer, the diploma is printedinverted (i.e black instead of white and white instead of black)I'm using Windows 98 SE eng and I have 256M ram.I never experienced this problem with fs2k and Win 98 first editionwith 128M of ram.

HiDue to some fortuitous transactions in the market I am now able to realize a life long dream which is to be able to pursue a realworld PPL and beyond.The question I would like to ask is if anybody has information on the best training facilities in the PHL/South Jersey areas.I would like to do this but would like to stear clear of the run of the mill and learn from the best in this area of the U.S.My ultimate aim is to earn a CFI ticket and to do this on a full time basis.Any comments,questions,or information would be greatfully accepted.ThanksRon [email protected]

Hope this hasn't been asked and answered in the past; I did a search and couldn't find it. I fly the FS2002 Baron frequently and have been wondering what function the (exhaust?) slot at the trailing edge of the left engine nacelle serves. And, why only the left engine? why bother until Athlon Tbred at 3GHz, or P4 at 3.5 GHz, via default or overclock, is possible. I am running a P3 at 1120 MHz and the thing is fine as long as I don't bother trying to run the Falcon or other complex aircraft. I do enjoy the 30-75m mesh and my sys can handle that fine. But honestly, I would have to say there is just no point on upgrading until I can get at least double or more the throughput. This AGP port issue seems crazy where this appears to be a bottleneck. Why the heck is this still an issue? To have a cpu and gpu that can handle the work, then have an AGP port limit that these is just plain defective design. I know it's more complicated than…

Hello all,Nice to finally join, I have been reading posts for a few months now. My quesion is, I am considering the purchase of adddon software for FS2K2. Out of the following, which one would y'all recommend. "Captain Speaking 2002", or FDC? Both seem real good, but can you use "Cap Speaking" with your own flights, or only the preplanned adventures? I've been simming for a while now, about 7 years and I have never seen anything like this. This airport is WA96 Leisureland Airpark just outside Seattle. I used AFCAD to add traffic, but I have been having trouble getting the AI to land. After some ajustments I got this Piper to land. He has landed several times with no problems, then after one adjustment his descent was too steep and he bounced hard and guess how shocked I was when the engine cowling flew open. For some reason I can't get the jpeg uploaded to the server. I have it saved as a 93kb file, but when I click on upload it wont nothing happens. ANy ideas?/

Just downloaded this yesterday. It has a decent VC and the panel is darn good too. I like the Cherokees as this is what I learned to fly in. I have given it a US registration and changed the spinner color. If anybody likes it I'll post it. I have had a P4 1.7Ghz, 512MB SDRAM and a 64MB GF2 MX400 card for a few months. I've been somewhat satisfied with FS's performance. However, lately, due to driver upgrades etc, my graphics are choppy and lack detail. Ground textures are blurrly. When I try to get detail I get really choppy ground and low fps. So does anyone have the best drivers/settings for the GF2?Any help is greatly appreciated,Greg

Is there a way to increase ai aircraft? I have the slider all the way up but was wondering if there is a way in a cfg file to increase the number manually? Thanks.

Very nice vc, Layout seems very accurate, maybe a bit too high agl it seems, when parking along a 737 or a320 viewpoint is more or less at same eyelevel (or is it correct like this?). Also when selecting pushback (shift-p) followed by 1 or 2 for turning it doesn't respond. One more minor issue, I changed the co-pilot's nav1 radio to nav2 radio, but it won't select when trying to do so (n+2), while in the kingair same thing works fine??? I like this aircraft very much, I hope these small things can be fixed, if not, no problem. Thanks for this great COMPLETE free aircraft!

1. I have started getting lockups with FS2002 every so often when the brakes indicator comes on the bottom left corner, overspeed warning, or messages scroll across the screen in multi-player mode. The mouse pointer is still active but everything else is locked. We had some electrical outages which caused some problems, but doing a system recovery and re-installing FS2002 I was getting complete freezes as soon as I started. I took out my old sound card and installed a SoundBlaster Live 5.1. 2. I installed FSMETEO with FSIUPC 2.85, has anyone had any problems with the program or the new modules? Wow it is unbelieveable. Super fluid, crystal clear, incredible detail! I can't believe how these look on this card. I am using the 7191's from ATI and I would highly recommend using them for Radeon 64. They looked great before, but now it is unreal how much detail and lack of fuzziness, lack up texture popups, and finally overcast with mountains poking thru are handled perfectly. Noel

Just been looking at Paul's aerial photographic Rochester Scenery, very nice. With the cessna flying over the airport ACTUALLY for once in FS makes it feel real.Obviously scenery like that will take up quiet a lot of HD space, but with technology getting better, can we start to expect more of that type of scenery to come out?Just think how many CDs there would be with FS if the whole world was aerial photography. Sure i'd buy something like that even if it were around

Had a question come up...hoping someone can answer it definitively. Some FAA Airport Diagrams show taxiways designated with a dash in them, some don't. For example, at KONT, you have taxiway "A-1", but at KLAX, you have taxiway "C1".
