I have searched the board but haven't come up with anything. My problem is this...I just went from Win98SE to Win2KPro (clean install) and reinstalled FS2K2 to try out my clean new system. Immediately ran into a problem with the graphics - they don't really "stutter" as in quick pauses but rather the screen seems to randomly "skip" - sort of like a laggy online session. It doesn't occur at the same rate all the time, but it happens in every flight. It's driving me nuts as I love win2K and hope I don't have to go back to 98SE. I've tried AGP settings (even disabled), toggled fastwrites, changes Aperture, tried two different nVidia drivers (28.90 and 29.20) - all to no…

Hello everyone.I have a question which I have to post here becuase their forum is down at the moment. Any time I fly one of the new GMAX 767's I can not get it to climb beyond FL250. My fuel loads are moderate good for at least a 6hr flight plus reserve. But the aircraft will stall and crash unless I can get it to recover. I have the older version 763 and it climbs out with no problems. Any suggestions? :-zhelpRTC79SBBR

OK I downloaded the a/c and man is it detailed! but during the cruise pasrt of the flight, I want too see what it's like to be a passenger.... Now.. I tried moving my "view" inside the passenger area but it only goes to a limit (the lavatory)... How do i override this so i can sit in a passenger seat?

Would someone be kind enough to explain Vcore settings to me.I have an Asus A7V mobo and a Tbird 950 AMD. I read somewhere that the default Vcore setting was 1.75 for my CPU and that I could overclock it safely by changing the Vcore and the FSB multipliers provided that I had adequate cooling. Needless to say, FS2K2 seems to be requiring me to get as much performance out of my current set-up and I am trying to be frugal at the moment except by adding a new video card. At any rate, I am not quite sure about setting the FSB since it seems that it is locked in my BIOS however, I was able to increase the Vcore to 1.8o and experienced a pretty good performance increase in d…

Is there a value that I can change in the aircraft.cfg file so that the particular aircraft will not be used by the AI? I'm not interested in doing all of the things that Traffic Tools and AI Shuffler do...I just want to turn particular aircraft off without changing any other functionality. i've flown it a few times, and all was ok, i go to fly it last night and when im in cockpit view or vc mode, the only pop up windows are up to shift+3 after that nothing else pops up, no overhead, throttle, gps, or anything!! i've reinstalled it 4 times, nothing, still the same thing, i've even tried to click on the hot spots, nothing. the cursor changes but then nothing happensdoes anyone have a clue to whats wrong?ciao!Brian S

Hi y'all :). I recently "upgraded" to Windoze xp and am going through hell getting FS2002 to work well with it. I had to override the refresh rate in DXDiag so I had less eyestrain, I have a CH usb rudder pedals and usb joystick, but the rudder-pedals always go to controller ID 1 in the control panel, so alot of games get confused..and there's no way I know of to force the joystick to ID #1 and the pedals to #2. I have a creative soundblaster Xgamer 5.1 soundcard with the xp drivers, but get distorted sounds in FS2k2. Finally..after exiting FS2k2 I get an "MS error report" that needs to be sent to MS(like they're even going to look at it).I'm thoroughly disgusted with …

looking around I found the website for the payware land class sceneries. As I do most of my flying for a VA based in the UK, usually with the CRJ, PSS A320 and PIC 767, would the whole european land class package be a worthwile download, or is this better suited for VFR fliers? And, are there BETTER freeware versions of these type of files out there?Joe

Can anyone recommend a good -8 Panel and Sounds for Fs2002??

I believe that this might have been posted some time ago. Today I was flying the King Air (default) and near the end of a 6+ hour flight and while on an aprox 3 miles final, FS2002 and or Wndows XP Home caused my computer to reboot.I have flown much longer flights in other aircraft and never had this problem before. I immediately check the CPU/system temps and they were well within my "Normal" range for the AMD XP1800+. I doubt that I ran out of memory as the weather was not really bad, only light rain and clouds plus I have 768 Mb of PC2100 DDR and only a very few items running in the background such as Norton Ant-virus and what ever it takes for Win XP to do it's thing…

Hi...I am a little upset with JustFlight. They are not creating a patch for FS2002 for Real Airports. It seems to me that this was one of the last comercial scenery released for Fs2000. It is really upsetting that a nice scenery program will die because no patch will be created. I do not understand why Justflight is dropping this program. Someone please esplain it to me. Other companies have made patches for there programs, why not Justflight. I have included the answer I have recieved form Justflight on the matter. The future meaning never. We I hope this does not offend anyone, or anyone at Avsim that I am upset with companies that do not give the customer sevice…

Good morning all from wet Ottawa, Canada.I've been looking through reviews and product details on a few FSD and DreamFleet packages which are available (to name a few) and I would like others opinions on their favourite GA package.Do you like the Archer or Cheyenne and what do you like about it? I fly the Katana out of Ottawa/International airport and I realise that nothing in FS will even come close but to have a good GA package I can use would be a nice change from my PIC767 and DF737 flights.I look forward to any replies.Dan Pergau

Elrond,Do you know whats up with the Thoroughbred XPxxxx CPUs as far as compatability wise will they require a newer board than say my EPox-8kha+ ? I am starting to hear that samples of the smaller 0.13 micron die XP1900 are making the rounds and from what I understand these run on any current socket A DDR boards. Do you have any info on this?
