I am considering a purchase of another CPU so my current setup will last me perhaps another 6 months before then a *major* upgrade.I currently have P3 500, 100 FSB, with Asus mobo P3BF. I know my current BIOS supports up to 850 MHz. I know that my Matrox G400max that I love would peak at about this clock speed - my major motivation for the upgrade.I am watching 2 items on Ebay. One is a used (bidding in progress) PIII 850, 100 FSB, FCPGA (whatever it means) and then a brand new P3 866 EB-type, 133 FSB. Both are slot 1 which I have. I have been using this stick for about 2 years now and have never had a problem. I recently upgraded my computer and now it will not work in FS2002. I have the same sound card and was running Windows XP before, it is very odd. It recognizes that it is installed but it will not work in FS2002, it works on other games but has no force feedback. I've removed it and installed it so many times that I am going to die cause I would like to take advantage of my new system but can't. I looked on the Microsoft support site and couldn't get anywhere, if anyone can help I would really appreciate it. Brian

I've been led to believe that you can make available for use the Dash 8 included in the aircraft folder but not listed for use in fs2002 pro. Anyone know how? Thanks in advance for your answer.Ron

Hi,Does anyone have information/opinion on whether FS2002 adequately accounts for gross weight when calculating fuel burn? In running a flight using a 737-200 from SJC to LAX, I get the following:115,000 lb t/o weight: 4935 lbs used73,000 lb t/o wt: 4554 lbs usedBoth flights used a 35,000 ft cruise altitude @ .76M.It seems to me that the difference should be greater. Hi,Before formatting my PC I remeber downlaoding effect files or .cfg I forgot that enables the flashing strobes to be seen from the virtual cockpit mode in default FS2002 general aviation planes. Does anyone knows where I can get this file from?CheersMichel

I sit here, typing this post, in front of my brand new 19" monitor which I picked up for a cool $180 from best buy ($130 after MIR) along with my new 512MB PC133 RAM module. Not a bad deal when all's said and done, as I'll have paid just a shade under $300 for the both. How's FS you ask? I respond with: disk swapping? What's that? :-lol I've seen an FPS increase of about 2 on approach/landing and @ altitude FPS isn't even a concern. Of course, all this is still running FS2k (FS2k2 goes in as soon as I get my GF2 64MB card in the mail this week) but I expect FS2k2 to perform similarly, if not better than FS2k. I know this has been beaten to death but I had to reinstall windows and FS2002 and I frequently get lockups now. I had my fltsim so tweaked perfect before with know lockups. I went back to the 12.41 drivers for my Geforce2 MX 400, but nothing is helpping and I need some advive. I even got tips from the Flightsim tip site. Any help will be appreciated guys... After having flown Turbines in FS2002 for years (who can resist the performance) the Commander has brought me back to earth and it is great.I was letting down after an enjoyable cruise at 14,000 feet and noticed it was very easy to reduce power while avoiding supercooling. I lowered to 25" of manifold and CHT satyed obediently in the green and ##### and EGT still maintained mid to upper temp ranges.Not even much leaning was required as I came down and enrichijng again did not overcool.Is it this easy in real life? I always seem to read about the difficulties of maintaining engine temp out of high alt. for the internal combustion power plants.Thanks all,

Hi All,Is there any different BMP for FSNav. Something that looks more like it belongs to the aircraft panel. Hey all I just downlaode the WORLD AI 1.0 Traffic Zip for AI Traffic! And it has alot of Airlines and flight plans! I was just wondering if anyone has used this file for thier AI Traffic yet?? How does the traffic look after installing these flight plans! I will only Install the areas of flight plans where i fly to! But would like more feedback on this great looking file!?? I would appreciate feedback about this file and how it looks in FS2002! I am now in my 3rd week of trying to find out how to add AI traffic, plans, bla bla..And already passed on importing real flightplans and going 'for i hoped to be' simple Traffic shuffler...Ok i also using AIscedule, which gives me incorrect atc_xxx in the cfg files, and for 2 days now changing every airline correctly and adding it to airlines.cfg.Then AI scedule says that all the atc_models and atc_types are wrong??..Every delevoper put there BOEING or AIRBUS but this program says its wrong, after finding a big table with all sorts of weird names for the atc_type i did a test with one atc_type and nope still wrong, README says nothing about it..so ok, maybe bug.I go to A…

I am not very impressed with the G-maxed textured a/c I've d/l so far. To me, Gmax a/c lack a certain depth of detail and definition that we have with "traditional" FS textures. I love the much smaller ZIP files (esp since I can only use dialup modem in my area), but that's all I can say about Gmax that is positive. Does one need a special video card or need to run a P4 or special rig to see amazing things happen with Gmax? Have I missed something?JS

I've been using the motherboard onboard sound card (Creative PCI 128) with my computer for about a year now. I just found a great deal on an OEM Soundblaster Audigy (I don't use that software anyway) and am waiting for it to come in. My speakers are somewhere between moderate and great quality surround sound. It didn't occur to me at the time, but now I'm wondering, will this make a difference in FS? I'm looking forward to it!
