I'm about to upgrade my PC- new motherboard, CPU and DDR RAM. This requires a new video card (to be AGP 2.0) and a new box (to get output from the power supply). As I'm also installing a DVD drive, all that I will need to get this old girl (PIII-750) working again will be a new HD and floppy.So- I can either toss this old PC (not likely, my first PC that I built myself), sell it, or keep it in working order. Regarding the last option- who uses a second PC for FS2002? I do have a LAN here, so could conceivably keep this PC on the network. We have a spare PC already, which we use for network backups. Any ideas on ideas on how to use this with FS2002?Thanks for any ins…

Firstly , let me explain a little. I belong to the school of thought that believes that the "Upgrade path" in computer purchasing is a myth. The reason for this involves money and value for money. It has always seemed to me that most computer systems are upgradeable for about 12 months before a new socket system, etc is introduced . So this means that , after purchasing the latest and greatest , you only have 12 months to upgrade -- far too early for me with my limited funds. Ever since seeing the first screenshots of Stefano's fantastic Dolomiti scenery I've been anxiously awating it's release. Now that AVSIM is previewing it I am wondering if it will be put in the file library. It is a large download, but I've done larger (the Win XP beta downloads were about 500MB), and this scenery is truly a masterpiece. How about it Tom, would it be possible? Thanks. David

Been running fs2k2 for about 3 months with no trouble. Now, out of nowhere, framerates have began acting up. Sim runs normal for about a minute, 20fps, then drops to 1-2fps for about 10 seconds, then runs ok again another minute. I cant seem to fix it. My only add ons were aircraft/panels/gauges and I removed them. I even reinstalled fs2k2 and still have problem. Everything else seems to run ok, so I think its a fs problem. Anyone else seen this???? Computer is a Gateway Celeron, 1200mhz, 256mb, winxp.Thanks if anyone can help!!!Mike

I don't know if this is AFCAD related, but is there something in a file that determines where and aircraft will park? I've found some general aviation aircraft parked at the commercial gate areas of airports. For example; Working on flight plans at KMKE I've seen Cessnas and Learjets occupying already scarce gates. When a commercial flight arrives, it disappears because the dang GA aircraft is parked in its spot. Short of using AFCAD (which I've downloaded but not executed yet) is there a way to tell GA aircraft to scram out of there and use their own GA ramps?ThanksRick

I would like to download real weather data from another computer and so transfer the data to the computer where FS2002 is installed. How and where can I do this and how can I get the data loaded into the running FS?Thanks for any help!

Hello,I purchased the Carenado's Bonanza which features an excellent design as for the external view (see picture). I have though a big problem : The Bonanza goes into a steep bank to the right. I applied the carenado's patch : no results. I also tried to turn reaslism to minimum : no results.I have Windows XP and FS2002 standard edition.Can someone help please.Thxs.

Just got the new pedals yesterday. After initial testing I noticed that even the slightest forward pressure on the pedals will trigger the "brakes" display.Is it possible to put a small "null band" in the control response so that minor forward deflection on the pedals results in no response?TNX in advance for your input.Regards, Jim (XP, FS2K2)

I have two problems with FS2002PRO.I) The pitch control when flying ILS approaches is too sensitive. I saw in tips that this can be corrected but the tip was not specific enough. It said to add a statement into control CFG file. However I can not find a folder with the name CONTROL. Has anyone out there solved this pitch sensitivity problem? If so how? I have used all the sensitivity settings the FS program provides, and pitch is still very sensitive. Can not fly ILS in any realistic manner with any precision.I have a Duron 1GIG PC 256 mg RAM on board video shared mem. Logitech Digital Wingman controller. FS 2002 Frame rate set at 52 FPM. First, I am sorry if this is off topic.This is a message for those who have downloaded the 1.1 update of this plane (pa28lnrog_update1.zip). I somehow uploaded the wrong file to the library, this file will not update, but "downdate" the aircraft... I am very sorry for this, but I've sent the correct file to the library manager and asked him to replace it. By the way, this is my first posting here :-)Roger

Hello fellow simmers!I have recently upgraded to Win 2000 and am finding that I gained a huge performance improvement. Unfortunately, I have a new problem concerning mouse pointer trails. The trails disappear when I click the panel, but start to grow again until I click again....I have a Creative Geforce3 Ti500 running on an asus MB with an Athlon 1.4 CPU and 560+ of SDRAM.Seems particulalrly bad in Dreamfleet's 737 panel.Anyone have any suggestions?Thanks.Chick.

I own a few payware planes....carenados Bonanza, FSD Commander,Dreamfleets 737 and Archer...all awesome. These planes fillniches I really need filled. I supplement these with the greatfreeware around plus the free offerrings from the same paywaresites.I purchased the Cheyenne tonight. Man, does that thing rock.The Kingair in FS2002 IMHO, sucked. I didnt like the paintjob and liked less the flight of this plane. Based on its3rd party support, Im not alone. However this Cheyenne fillsthat need great. great power, great VC, great paint, etc.However, I have not seen many/any skin replacements. Im surprised by that. If there are any let me know!Eric

I remember last Spring 2001 we were in Las Vegas NV for a friend's wedding. As we left the arrival runway to taxi to the gate, I saw a B757 painted in National Airlines livery.
