Is anyone else missing Florida Navaids and ILS. I flew around Florida yesterday where I did not my flight training. I was missing the ILS at Daytona 7L, Ormond Beach VOR and others in Florida. They show up on the map and GPS but when you tune them in they are not there. In addtion FSnav does not see then either. Do I have a proble or does FS2002 have the problem?David AlbrightFAA Flight dispatcherSingle and Mult-engine rated pilot

Some time ago somebody posted news of a little thingy that keen gamers can strap to their back to get sensory gaming feedback but old fogeys like me would probably stick under their chair. Anybody know what I'm talking about, because now I can't find this anywhere? Or is there another cheap alternative, rather than placing one's posterior on a $9 million subwoofer? All ideas welcomed ... I've been very disappointed with force feedback sticks and "rumblebotty" sounds much more fun.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Good day to you. Since releasing ACLoader a year or so ago I have now had over 10,000 DL's of it in various versions. In all that time I've only heard from people with issues and suggestions. Needless to say, I'm happy it's working for nearly everyone else.My question is, WHO is using it and how? Which VA's and general public?Just curious.BTW - I'm working on Version 4 development now, so you may wish to send your suggestions and comments. Some features of Version 4:[ul][li]"Use FS98" changed to "Write Reports ONLY"[/li][li]Doesn't care if you have Flight Sim. Will run whether or not it's present. If Flight Sim 200x is not present in the directory setting, will automat…

Hi guys, I've been having a problem since I got FS 2002. Little to no dynamic scenery or AI traffic whatever you'd like to call it. I have my Dynamic Scenery cranked up all the way and checked on. But even at O'Hare maybe only 3 or 4 jets. And JFK had nothing, Newark had one jet. It's very frustrating and very lonely out in my FS world. Does anyone have any idea why there isn't anything much at all? I've tried the help on the FS tips page that has a link on the top of the forum page here, but no luck. I have tried to play with Traffic Tools but havn't had much luck how can I get my O'hare and big airports looking like big airports with planes galore? PLEASE PLEA…

Has anybody else experienced the A320 "going missed" at any airports, or am I nuts?I have a bunch flyin' around. They've always seemed OK in landing. But after observing NW and Air Canada A320s consistently going missed at KMKE, I had to wonder about this behavior. There were gates open when I observed this phenomenon. And I just noticed it recently as I've been filling out TTools routes in medium N American cities. Thanks for any comments, folks.Rick

Good Evening :When you use Key "Y" to start Slew you get a RED line acrossthe top of your screen. The far right of this line is speed in KTS. Without using anyother key this kts show any where from 3 to 5 KTS forward.I know you can freeze this item with numpad 5.. It will stayat 0 KTS as long as you hold the key down. Release the key andit will start moving again. Is it possible that you can configure a file to stop the movementwhen you turn SLEW on?It happens on all FS2002 [email protected]

Finally finished the physical model for the Mallard - at some point I have to do the Texturing and (of course) VC. The landing gear was a bit of a pain, since there are effectively 4 gear doors on each side of the main landing gear, but it is working and exports to FS fine !!Currently starting work on the flight dynamics..... If anyone has any technical information on the Mallard (in particular engine specs, flap settings, fuel capacity etc etc) then it would be much appreciated - since I have not been able to find more details than that on "airliners.net". (Otherwise I will have to use the "best guess" method !!!)......

Is there still lightning in FS2K2? I've been using FS2K2 since it was released and I have yet to see any lightning. The thunder clouds are there and the thunder sound, but never any lightning. I use FSMeteo and FS Sky World.Ray :)

Hello to all, Well...I have been dreaming about what we must get for fs2004. I really want to see these done. 1. Realistic ATC. (SIDs,STARs and Holding Patterns)2. Airport Taxiway signs. (They Have the names correct...why not signs?)3. An easy interface to add/remove airline callsigns.4. Roads with traffic on them (fs2k2 is dead with out)5. WTC before Sept. 11 and gone after(like back in time berlin)6. Real waterways with boats in them.7. ALOT of AI TRAFFIC with REAL airlines. 8. Concorde! 9. Real paint schemes for default aircraft.10. In bad weather, where VFR is not possible and when airports don't have ILS, use approach plates or when heavies have to land at…

There were a number of posts when the Bonanza came out regarding its flight model being incredibly underpowered. Has this been recitified with the current patch? Does anyone know? Waiting to buy, but eye candy is not the main concern, flight models are. Perhaps we can use Geofa's flight model for personal use once it's released. Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a new version of my Meridian in the library. It has improved flight dynamics and serveral other minor fixes. There was a mixup when the file was loaded (my fault, not Avsim) so it never got added to the "New files" news on the main page. Mike StoneEdit: Ooops, just noticed that it is in todays news, just under FS2002 gauges.

Since getting FS2002, I have not been flying the 747 (due to the power settings being way too powerfull), but I am now giving it another go.I simply add full speed-brake at all times, and have been pleasantly surprised by the new flight model. Now if you try to take off fully fueled without a lot of flap - you won't even make it off the ground (20 deg works great, and she climbs like a lead weight). Lightly fueled you will need to keep the throttle at at least 50%, or you will be sorry. If you stall on approach - you will literaly drop out of the sky like a 300 tonne house.I am starting to think this flight model (with the speed-brakes on) is more realistic than any other…
