Ed Truthan (Blackkettle) Aloha all, Most users have not had a problem, but to those who MAY be having problems or questions about the "oceansfx.zip" Water Surface Effects, here's a few things I sent to another simmer who was trying to get the new water effects to show, and I thought it might be helpful to post it here for anyone searching for answers. For those that were around with the older version of this forum, you are quite familiar with how this can happen. Although, the new forum has been a little better at avoiding these database corruptions. Fortunately, this forum has a database rebuild function that works quite well and it appears it is back up now.

Some parts of the greater Seattle area received snow today. South of Seattle recieved 1/2sized inch hail,very strange for these parts. The high for KSEA today was only 46dgr and at 2200hrs it is 36.Wierd weather for sure.

Hard landing in my FSD Cub. No damage to the airframe, she still flys fine.Not so sure about the pilot though :)Cheers

The parking brake dont work :( after cut the power to the minimium and apply parking brake the plane is still moving very slow but still movingTIA

Just visited this airport for the 1st time and when taxiing to the gate noticed the 'flashing graphics' started to appear. Basically it looks like some of the grassed area jumping around. Haven't had this at any other airports - has anyone else experienced this or is it a bug in the program code? My graphics card is 64Mb geforce 2 ti with Detonator 28.32 drivers running Win Me

Hey Gang,I'm having trouble finding a good MD-80 series plane for FS2002 (mainly Delta). The closest thing I've found is the Allied FS Group's MD-80s, which, although it's an older model, would still suit me fine except for the fact that the flight dynamics seem a little off to me (then again, I'm not a pilot, so maybe it is me after all).So does anyone out there have a good MD-80 series recommendation for me?Thanks in advance,Matt

I'm sure this is a pretty simple question, but I'm having a tough time figuring it out. :-hang I would like to know how I can start a Flight Plan and have everything turned off on the airplane when I arrive at the gate.In other words, I would like to go through the process of starting my own engine when I start the simulator. Also, I would like to be able to switch my own frequencies rather than have the simulator do it for me.Any help to these questions is greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I dont want to sound like I am bashing Mike Stones designs in anyway but the ERJ-145 seems to have a slight problem.The nose wheel seems to steer in the opposite way that the aircraft is going.I was just wondering if there was a fix for this that I might of overlooked?Other than that this aircraft is a work of art.We all should thank Mike for his hard work that he put into these aircraft.I have everyone of his aircraft and find them a blast to fly!:-jumpyThanks again Mike for your Work and hope to see more of your work soon!!;)Cheers!:-waveJared

I decided to spend some money on payware add-on, and that was for FSNav.It's really cool program and now flying is much more enjoyable.My question is, when you make a fligth plan in FSNAV,is it possible to make ATC follow that plan (like telling me altitude),and get clearance on the runway selected in FSNAV?If either one is possible please tell me how to do it.I searched but couldn't find any information.Thanks in advance.

If you have not downloaded this great aircraft, do it now. Great aircraft with a very good panel. My problem is that I can't get it to cruise at over 160kph, and if I get it to go over 200kph on decent it redlines and I get the overspeed warning. I thought it would cruise at 262kph, what am I doing wrong? I certainly do not mean to be critical of this great aircraft which was given to us by the generous talent of Mike Stone. Is anyone able to get it to cruise at 250 or more?CharlieZ
