Dear all.We are PolarAirways from Holland, we have been in operation since 1998 and we have a great collection of planes for 98 and 2000 but our chief painter is no longer with the hobby and we need to get some paints done for our livery in MSFS2002 and FlyII. ;(8 We would really appreciate the help for all that are willing to spend some time with us. We currently have over 1500 pilots flying the older models so your efforts will be apprieciated. ;)Mike HorstenFounderPolarAirways.com:[email protected]

OK,I've subscribed to the AVSIM forums just to thank Geof for the magnificent job he has done with the Deb.I think this is the best GA aircraft I've ever flown in FS2k2.I've recently bought Dreamfleet Archer and I must say that your plane is certainly of the same outstanding quality.I know this may sound trite, but you have definitely raised the bar, not only for freeware, but especially for payware designers. They'll have to come up with something really extraordinary next time to match what you've done.Your plane is one of the best gift our community has ever received.Happy Landings alwaysAlessandro

I know it's like living with Jennifer Lopez and wanting to date her older sister, but while I think I've died and gone to heaven flying the Debonair, I can't help fantasising what the V-tail version would be like......:-shy James, is there any possible chance whatsoever of you creating one from the Debonair? I didn't realise it was essentially the same aircraft until reading the manual and hoped it might just involve a few tweaks of your model (Ignorance is bliss). Thing is, I'm just nuts about Mrs Beech's finest, straight and Vee! Thanks for reading, and thank you very much indeed for your fabulous work of art.

I took the Deb out for a nice 3 hour practice session today. Was having lunch with a friend afterwords when he got a call that an aircraft radio needed to be picked up. Want to take a ride in the Rv6?----I ended up flying her-except for the landing (tail wheel and difficult airport-I bowed out). What a sleek fighter aircraft. My friend an xwwII carrier pilot, korean war jet pilot etc.etc. said that it flys very much like a fighter aircraft-minus all the weight. He did his usual on the way back-ever flown upside down/loop etc.-whoosh.Anyway a joy to fly-you have a lot to look forward to. After the flight went to see a friend in a near by hangar-looks like he is in the same…

Geoff...dittos on all the great comments on your Debonair. I would like to get some real flying numbers from you for this plane.. rotation, Vy, Vx, etc. I have not found them in any of the docs so far. If you could take a minute and perhaps educate us on how you fly the plane ( power settings at different stages, etc) it would sure add to the realism on this end. Thanks for making our hobby even more enjoyable!

  10. Geof's aircraft Absolutely new and awesome experience. Aeordynymics, this plane behave diifrent than those which I Flown before. During the approach I slow down and I feel that the plane slow down for real and glide nicely -I was shaking from happiness .The hood is so realistic -never seen before like this one- excellent and ones again this plane response to my joystick beatufully. Left turn and smooth ,right turn and smooth. WOW! Installation program opens like a pay-ware but is free. Gold Award for this work http://www.cuic.ca/seroka/lo14.jpg

  11. With all the enthusiasm we share for everything to be "as real as it gets" in flightsim, perhaps the following is not out of place. Forgive me if you've all seen this before, as I know it's done the rounds. Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and problems, known as "squawks," submitted by Quantas pilots and the solution recorded by maintenance workers. Never let it be said that ground crews and maintenance workers lack a sense of humour. P = the problem logged by the pilot. S = the solution and corrective action. ____________________________________________ P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.S: Almost replaced left inside main tire. P: Test …

Okay. I just got done testing a new feature that's a first for FS! Pitching prop blades! That's right! You move the prop control lever, and the blades change pitch!!!!I'll have proof as a simple aircraft file here in a bit! It just contains a simple prop I did in Gmax, to test this feature. But it's a first!!!

changing the landing runway when the surface wind shifts and not telling us until we're on final. My question is how indeed does a real tower handle approaching aircraft when the winds do suddenly shift to the opposite heading and how close in will they ask an aircraft to miss the approach???

Theoretically, would it be possible to program a full fidelity piston engine in FS2K2, one with individual CHTs and a JPI style instrument?I'm definitely not the one to do it (given that my last programming triumph was my VCR), but I'm just wondering if it's possible. Thanks in advance.

Hi, just had a battle with my computer over the last week. Using win 98 I upgraded to a gf4 4600 and after reloading windows an irq interference occurred with the vcard. The computer would hang every once in awhile. Anyway, that's fixed. Now, I'm off to fly.Could some of you nvidia experts out there post your recommendations for fs settings and v card settings to get the best blend between fps and picture quality. This would help me so I don't have to experiment with all the settings. I got gf tweaker installed. At first glance in fs there seems to be some shimmering on the autogen trees. I like to use the fsaa setting as much as possible and use 1024x768 res with…

I have been using FS2002 since its release and I am mostly very happy with it. I use the program mainly to pracice approaches. I have found for this has done wonders for my real life IFR flying. There is one bug though that I find my self dealing with time and time again that I would like to fix.The weather settings I enter in the advanced weather are not used by the program when I go to fly. For instance if I set a visibility level from surface to 1000ft at 1/2sm with clear above the visibilty works until I climb above 1000ft and then the max visibility takes over. i.e. surface to 1000ft becomes clear. Also second cloud layers usually do not appear at all (well cirr…

I know in the past there has been a mention of using the 3D shutter glasses with FS2002.These are not cheap, and don't people realise that you don't need these glasses to use 3D, as you can download the 3d drivers, and use to old fashioned read and blue glasses, which can be made, or bought for next to nothing.Has anyone here tried viewing in 3d this way, with the read and blue glasses?Seems people hve been talking about these glasses and viewing in 3d, when it's been avaialble for years, yet many have not made use of it.maybe people have forgotten you can use read and blue with the stereo drivers to get out of the cockpit views in 3D.I have not tried it yet, as I will ne…

Fellas,Just completed a flight and wanted a video of my ILS approach. Never done this before so I left the record rate at the default 1s. Replaying it, the plane is jumping up and down about 10 times per second and it is totally unwatchable. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what can be done about it? Many thanks in advance,Neil

I recently switched FS2002 to My D drive with nothing on it.(40gig)when i ran FS2002 it loaded so fast I couldn't believe it. So I thought it was just because it is a 10000RPM drive. So I ran a couple of test and found out the original drive it was installed to didn't have the DMA box checked under the Disk Drive properties. To make a long story short I see now that there is ATC stutters without DMA, and no ATC stutters with DMA. I was just about to toss My SBLIVE card.My specsAMD 1300 T-Bird512mb PC133GF2 mx 400SB Live (value)

I don't think it's natural for the sky to go from say an overcast to a blue horizon. Whenever I look outdoors on a cloudy day, the clouds seem to meet up with the horizon. My question is: Is there a program or addon that will remove the blue horizion in stormy weather? I also think that the fog should be grayish in color not just a blue haze. Are there addons that will do this?
