Firstly, Thanks to the designers for what seems like a great addition to the FS community. I am posting a screenshot of the error I get when trying to load the Regular Debonair. I have reinstalled, I've also tried changing startup aircraft. I copied the Reality gauge as suggested. I'm running FS2002 Pro, with Reality XP. Any help would be appreciated.

If you assign a P8 button to "GF-45 Select Next Function" how many functions on the GF-45 unit do you have to step thru to get back to the original starting point when pushing the button?From the GF func documention I see seven total, but are there sub-groupings within "Inst Panel Select" and "Autopilot Select".To try and make my question clearer, say the GF-45 shows COM1 then do you press the P8 button ( assigned to select next ) and it changes to NAV1, next press = NAV2, next press = ADF, next press = Transponder,next press = Inst Panel ( Baro ), next press = Inst Panel ( gyro ), next press = Inst Panel ( Nav1 OBS ), next press = Inst Panel ( Nav2 OBS ), next press = In…

Since my Saitek X36 committed suicide a couple of nights ago I'm in the market for a new system. I had some time to further study the Cougar last evening, and thought I would seek the opinions of users of this new system and FS2K2.Specifically, I'm interested in the following:1) Is it worth the price of admission?2) Your experiences with interfacing the Cougar and FS2K2?3) What rudder pedals, if any, are you using with the Cougar and this sim?Thanks in advance for all your input.Regards,

Today I went shopping for a decent headphone/mike setup to use on VATSIM. I discovered that there are now digital headsets that plug into a USB port. This sounds like a good idea for making it easy to switch between or independently control my speakers and headset. It would really be great if I could get voice coms through the headset and all other sounds through the speakers. Just wondering whether anyone has used these and if there are any drawbacks, such as compatability problems (especially with FS2002). Thanks. David

Thanks to Geoff and his crew for a great freeware aircraft. I have one small problem which I have not been able to resolve. I can't get the Garmin 195 to work. It comes up on the screen when I push it's button but it's dead. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me? Am I missing the On, Off switch?Richard

Having a problem, when downloading aircraft, panels and gauges for fs 2002, after takeoff upon climbing past 20000 feet the aircraft loses speed so therefore crashes. Its happened with Boeings 757, B767 and Airbuses A320 and A330. Any ideas??

Does anyone else have the problem that when you download realtime weather fron the net on fs 2002 the asl at airports like London Gatwick change?? Example:Lgw asl is 196 feet but when you download weather it jumps to 700 feet. Any ideas on how to fix this??

Hi,I have downloaded a French airport but there was a big problem : there are two runways instead of one. The old runway is remaining. The author may have missed an "Exclude" line. He sent me an *.apt to erase the old runway but he didn't tell me where to put this file. I've put this file in the file Annemassescenery with the two other *.bgl file. Why does the old runway remain although the author sent me a new file ? Where do I have to put the *.apt file ?Thank You,Best Regards,

Hello everyone! Wow, what a great community you guys have here! I've only been browsing for a short time, but I am already impressed by what I see here. I have spent about an hour searching before posing this question, but had no luck (I've probably just overlooked it or don't know exactly what to search for to find my answer), so it's time to ask. I have seen comments about how the default aircraft in FS2002 don't have the best flight models or aren't realistic this way or that way. Last night I decided to install FS2k2 again for the simple reason that I had too many addons on it and just wanted to start again. Well now after going through three installations already and with all of these ending successfully, now every time fs2k2 goes through the "loading scenery textures...etc ect" just after it gets to 100% it gives me the following error "Scenery read error. Attempting to open an nonexisting directory" and continues. Now the generic scenery is gone and my graphics look weird.I have completly removed the fs2k folder of my c: drive before doing the isntall, cleared all of the fs2k2 registry entries, degragmented my drive, tried everything I know so …

I've been using MSFS2002 for a while now, and have the hardest time spotting other aircraft. For example, when ATC tells me to look at my 10 o'clock and report an aircraft in sight, about 90% of the time I have to reply back that I can't find the aircraft.Is anyone else having the same problem, or is it just me? Hey Guys, heres my problem...when I alt-tab out of FS my CH 3 Lever USB Yoke becomes disabled, nothing works on it, i have to restart computer to re-engage it, but CH pedals and Sidewinder Yoke, work correctly after alt-tabbing. Any Ideas?Thanks In Advance,

I am wondering what if anything windows XP will do to my frame rate.My computer:Windows MEP-III 966512 megsATI 7200 64 megsSound BlasterI am getting now a frame rate of 20-25 fps in generic scenery and 3-6 in add on scenery like simflyer and this is in the high setting. As I fly my frame rate changes constantly going sometimes changing from 2-10 fps in a matter of a second...is that normal? This happens my whole flight. I have also started work on the virtual cockpit (again). It's going to be nothing fancy mind you. I have just installed FS 2002 and find that even though the autorudder is checked, the aircraft continues to drift left and is not controlable. I do not have rudder panels, just joystick.Appreciate any help.

Hi all!I've been a die-hard Fly!(2) fan all my sim chareer, but after a friend showed me the 767 PIC i must say i was impressed. So impressed that i went out and bought msfs2k2 and 767 pic.Anyway, to the question; scenery? I'm looking for freeware mindboggling eyecandy. Count me as another lover of Geoff A's superb plane. However, I've been having a problem getting the HSI to work -- it's probably my aging brain giving out, but I can't get the HSI of respond to a localizer frequency setting. When I set the frequency on the radio panel, it goes in either as "standby" or NAV 2, and the VOR indicator on the bottom row responds, but never the HSI. Doe it read only NAV 1, and if so, how does one select NAV 1. I've tried of old keystrokes (N,1,[freq digits]), but to no avail. What I was trying for was a simultaneous response on both the old vor gauge as well as the HSI. Anyone know what to do to get the HSI linked to a frequency? Does t…

I'm sure I have overlooked something simple, but.... After I put together a flight plan in FSNav, how do I load it so that the ATC function knows I am on an IFR flight plan?

I've flown a lot with the MD-8X lately (in real life) and I'd really like a package similar to the DF734 and PIC767.Any news guys?Have a nice day!Christian
