For those interested in real-life speeds, on two recent flights in the 777-200 IGW, our final approach speed in each was IAS 130. I did one other flight in that bird with a final approach speed of IAS 120 and another at IAS 126. JS

Hi everyone,I see everyone happily using the vapor trails package. Problem is, I can't find it here in the file library. A search of "vapor trails", "Vapour", and "Prev" only brings up pack two.Where is pack one?

Here's the deal: it turns out I'm not much of an aircraft painter, and I'm getting tired of not progressing because my lack of texturing skills, so I'm having auditions for a texturer. If you would like to be part of the project as a painter, please post a few screenshots of your texturing work. If I don't have to paint it, I can concentrate on the 3d model, VC, and flight dynamics. So please, if you're interested, let's see what you've got. Great report!Just one minor bugaboo though:"The big news is that texture resolution has been improved from CFS2's 1Km (other than the more detailed Guam and Hawaii) to CFS3's 120 meters throughout. That's all of the UK and Europe, extending to France and Germany's southern borders."This should be corrected to say >Mesh/Terrain Resolution< instaed of the "Texture resolution" as texture resolution is already at less than 5 meters; so the "CFS3's 120 meters" should be thought of in terms of terrain detail, and at 120m will be more than twice the level of detail found in the default FS2k2 scenery.Paul

hehe just tested rating stystem on the topic to see what it will do. I guess I learned. When I load up the FFG updater it doesn't find my aircraft in the box. I have it set to the FS2002 dir and the filenames are correct. I even tried replacing my modified DC-10 with a new copy with no success. Can anyone help? thanks!

767 Fans:For those of you who enjoy flying this aircraft, I've stumbled upon a nice combination of plane, panel, and sound for FS2002. Any of the POSKY 767's for FS 2002 (I like the 300's), the very lovely, functional, and easy on frame rate panel by I. D'Attomo available here at AVSIM (b767-300_fs2k2.zip)and the B757 soundset compiled and designed by Daniel Careri is truly a wonderful package. Geof,I noticed the panel.cfg file included in the update is configured to use the Reality XP flight line avionics. So, for those using the standard panel, this kills the Nav1/Com1 and XPDR gauges.Also, I found a solution to the autopilot problem I was having. Though not caused by your aircraft, adding the following line to the Autopilot section of the aircraft.cfg file fixes the problem while still allowing the autopilot to functuion as intended:use_no_default_pitch=1This may help those who are having the same problem and shouldn't effect others in any way.Clyde

Hello!Any of you who are using Abascus Corporate Pilot know how to UNDOCK the windows in the CP aircraft. I would like to move them over to my second monitor and leave them open there.Right now if you right click on one of the other open windows, such as the pedistal on the Falcon 2000, it is set up to close that window, which does not bring up a drop down menu to allow you to select the "undock" option. Right clicking on "hotspots" in the panel are used to open these windows also.Has anyone in this forum who uses the Corporate Pilot aircraft been able to "undock" these panels?Also, when I use the hat switch on my flight sim yoke with these aircraft to veiw any direction …

Here is a shot of Project Opensky's American 777, It looks very nice during the day, however at night it seems to be a bit to bright or light to be realistic. Can Anyone tell me how to tone this down? By the way it is an FSDS aircraft just to let you know. Well here is the screenshot, And it is the First One I posted on here with using FS2002. When I have the approach locked in on the autopilot, it wants to put me down several miles directly in front of the runway. It lines me up fine but lowers me way too quickly when using the Caravan. I narrowly missed a major catastrophe today putting myself and by 11 passengers' lives in danger. Well, this is only a simulation, but I'd like to keep it real.Just kidding, but I am having the above aformentioned problem only with the Caravan and not, for example, when approaching using the 737-400.Any advice is strongly welcomed.Thanks,Rob

I keep seeing reference to the TTools program by Lee Swordy needed to use the many AI flight plans posted in the file library, but I keep dead-ending in my searches for the program. Where can I find it to download it? Thanks

Hello,Well I ordered the first Jet style USB flight yoke from PFC. It shipped on the 21st. and will get here on the 29th. This flight yoke is so new I had to wait because of problems with thier prototype controller board. Anyway, it's FINALLY on its way to me.I can't wait until it arrives, I hate being grounded. I broke my Virtual Pilot Pro yoke while trying to modify it...hehehehe.Michael

Hello I'm new to the Sim family and I will like to know if there is a way to check the whells air preasure in the default Cessna C-172 Skyhawk at the Meigs Field before taking off. I was told this is important. But I can't find a way to perform this task.Thank You.

I have in vain attempted to activate ATC communication within this program but have been unable to do so. can anyone out there help me with this one,I would so like to hear realistic traffic while flying.

I run FS2k2 in full screen mode. After much use over time, my FS2k2 HELP screen has migrated progressively to the right side of the screen to the point where I can no longer click the scroll bar on the extreme right side of the Help screen. I figured out a way to rectify this months ago but cannot remember what I did to re-center the Help screen. Can anybody assist me to get the Help screen back onto the monitor completely? Geof, OK, thanks for the link to the Patch. For sure, the new (old) HSI looks fine, although a bit smaller, but it is well used thats for sure. So no problem with the HSI.BUT:-eek I have a PROBLEM.....!! The middle half of the radio stack is now missing (blank). I still have the GPS on top, and the COMM/NAV2, DME and ADF on the bottom. But in the middle. GONE.I thought I may have put in the wrong Panel .cfg. So I saved the standard .cfg, renamed the 'panelxp'.cfg to 'panel'and subbed it. Nope, same result. No "middle" radio stack. Where did I go wrong? Will I have to uninstall and reinstall to get the "middle" stack back again?ALSO....(that was the bad news.) …

Today for the first time that the prop on Mike Stone's Meridian spins when in flight and when taxing and stops after it parks and the engine is shut down when used as AI. Do others do this also and I have just missed it? This one makes a good AI, lands and departs wtih out problems or need of any tweaking.Best Regards,Bob
