Hi,Is anyone else running FS2002 successfully with a SDRAM Pentium 4 motherboard with either of the Titanium versions of Geforce 2 or Geforce 4 ?I have a P4 1.8 Northwood processor with 512mb SDRAM PC133 on a Gigabyte motherboard (Intel 845, socket 478) and cannot get either a Geforce 2 64Mb, or a 4 Titanium Ti4400 128Mb versions to run without locking up when you first see the aircraft in the simulator . I can get away with using a Geforce 2 MX 32mb

Well the emails stopped, the kids stopped breaking bones, and I finally had a little time to actually fly tonite (including a new fm-very nice!). Anyway-couldn't resist a few compares...http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID47http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/geofanim2.gif

I just thought I'd drop a line of thanks and recognition to Geof for his excellent aircraft - but even more to his personal attention and thoughtful support (in near immediate response times) for his craft once it was released. While every piece of software has the potential to have a few problems slip through, not every author has the will, desire or skill to stay on top of "customer" problems once they arise.Geof has done this in spades. As a freeware author, I find Geof has shown remarkable restraint to some of the posts which proclaim the end of the world (you know, those that begin with all caps and have copious exclamation marks added for attention: those drive me…

Many have noted with passing or deep interest the problem I have had the last couple of weeks trying to get MSFS2002 to load scenery. Got the old corrupted looking characters and told by sim: Non Existant Scenery Dir. so on. Anytime looked like sim wanted to load new scenery file: same thing.( I had the pu=/? characters popping up at this time too for non existent directories).Well I made my first flight with what appears to be FULL scenery. Here is how: Finally, with the help of many of you fine pilots, I decided it was one of three things: Video Card, PC DIMMS (PC RAM) or just bad CDs. Since the Sim loaded right up and flew well with the full scenery and NO simili…

A quick question. Is anyone else having problems matching FS Meteo with FSUIPC 2.85? With the past four flights I've had horrendous crosswinds, but that's not the real problem. Minimizing FS2K2 and checking FS Meteo, what it's showing and what I'm getting on ATIS, using shift-z, and what I'm seeing out the windscreen is not matching up. For instance at Gatwick, BKN at 2000, -RA, winds 17006, out the windscreen I'm seeing blue skies, Rain, and winds 170/27. What's up? I've downloaded 2.85 again, going to reinstall it and see if it fixes anything. Anyone else have this problem or know a fix for it.Joe

Hi!I have been using a an FSYoke LE USB with both FS2000 and FS2002 and have had the same problem on both.At start up of FS, the ailerons are in extreme right bank/turn position making it necessary to recalibrate the Yoke each time I start the sim.Has anyone else had this probel or know why it occurs? Or better yet how to fix it?Bluesky821

Note: the readers digest version is at the bottom of this post ;) First, I want to congratulate Geof, James, and the rest of the Debonair crew for a wonderful new plane. I particularly enjoy the flight dynamics. I have discovered a minor problem when using the Deb with WidevieW on my system that may apply to others as well. Installing the 1.5 patch on the client computer prevents loading (fails just prior to the elevation load). If you try to load the 1.5 patch onto the server, it will run, but freezes solid if you try to toggle through the 2D cockpit panel views. The solution that worked for me is to not install the 1.5 patch on either server or client. Then everything…

I've submitted this update to the file library, so it should appear tomorrow or Tuesday. The update will require that Landclass Assistant already be installed on your system. Installation of the small 54K file will simply mean unzipping the .exe and docs to the program folder.I've added some additional documentation on doing adjoining tile projects, but the main reason for the upgrade is the addition of a viewing/data entry grid. I hope this will help those who've already "taken off" with this app, so to speak. Here's a screenshot showing the grid: John, KPHX Author, Landclass Assistant

I know this has been beaten to death since last October. However, a while ago, someone posted some really helpful settings which cleared up the blurries for me. Well, as usual I was messing around with drivers, and now they are back, worse than before.I would really appreciate it if that post were revived. Thanks a lot,Howard

I would very much like to increase my AI aircraft worldwide by using the default aircraft. Can someone please tell me if this is achievable. I have downloaded Traffic Tools but it seems a bit daunting. I notices a lot of flight plans in the library and was wondering if you need to use them. Many thanks from someone who need a bit of help.John

A while back I tried to install a 3rd party aircraft into FS2k2, and for some reason it made my AI aircraft to disappear. Now I did set the ATC to 80% AI aircraft and maximized my dynamic scenery, but to no avail. Is there A way to bring them back without having to uninstall and reinstall FS2k2? I sure hope so. Any info would be helpful.

I have found that the 3D driver seems to want to work best at 640X480.I know a lot of you run your resolutions in 3D at a much higher rate than this, and would never consider running 3D at such a low resolution.I found the lower the resolution the greater the depth of view, and FS2002 is far the better running at 640X480, at least with the Red/ Blue glasses. Having higher resolutions, to see another depth you have to refocus on it at higher resolutions, but in 640X480 things are so much better.I would suggecst if people want 3D to work at it's best you need to use the driver at 640X480.There is a relationship with death of view and resolution. I tried MSTS in 640X480, an…

In an era where freeware quality addons are becoming rare, it's always a pleasure to come across sceneries which can compete with the best AND are free. All the more when you find something which is not widely known, because the author didn't upload to the major flightsim websites.Such an example is a new freeware scenery of EBBR Brussels International Airport by Robert Buysen. It's far better than the payware version for FS98 in Airport 2000 by Wilco. It also contains the brand new Schengen terminal A, which opened about a week ago. Robert is still working on the scenery, but what you can download is already very complete and of outstanding quality.Go take a look at htt…
