Over the last few weeks we have seen a number of SDK's being released in fairly quick succession. I want to voice my opinion on the, in my view, deteriorating quality of those SDK's. :~PIt started off in a well appricatated (from my side at least) release of SDKs of reasonable quality. For example, we got the Traffic SDK, which would do all kind off error checking and was very good when it came to generating AI Traffic, as far as I've seen it, it was better than any 3rd party software that tried to do the same. A good effort, to say the least. At that point I was wondering, if Microsoft indeed is providing a better customer service than I was used to from the past. :-hmmm…

Hi All,I know this issue has bin mentioned before but to me NOT to my satisfaction.But after long trying and searching I found the way to STOP it.But let me explaine firts whats happening when scenery are flickering on AIRPORTS and mostley the taxiways or aprons.In some scenery,addon or default,taxiways or aprons disappears AND appears in a matter of seconds,very irritating matter because you will loose the track heading.....And not least its NOT beautifull!!!I am talking here about problems in FS2002 on my machine but I know there are lots of pipel who had the problem allso....My machine is a P3 1.7Gghz...P4B motherboard,Asus 7700 graphics,and LOTS of memory installed...…

First a thank you to the HJG crew for their magnificent panel. The airfile coupled with the panel makes for a smooth ride. My question is in reference to using the airfile with your DC-8-62/64, 71/73s. Can I do it? If so and I put the airfile in the folder will I have a DC-8-72 with the performance of a DC-8-50? You see the root of my problem. Thanks for any help.

jerrycwo4Just installed the 'upscaled'sweadish figher"Fugia", or something like that. Locked me up everyting I flew it. Uninstalled it and cleaned out all of it's gauges. Anybody else have any lock-up problems with it? I probably would not have kept it anyway. Don't fly too many military jets.Anybody that has downloaded a good many aircraft ever try to 'copy and paste' the aircraft files back and forth to a ZIP disc? I'm thinking about cutting ALL of the downloaded (or NON default)to a ZIP disc and only bring them back up, if and when I want to fly them. Think it would work OK?jerry

Hi all,I just downloaded the newly uploaded DC-8 panel from the HJG's site.HJG uploaded 3 different folders (with similar files duplicating in each), the installation instructions were quite vague as far as I'm concerned - In short:the panel doesn't work for me...Anybody can help me out on this one?Cheers twister

and whats the difference between a B777-21H and a B777-200. I dunno but from airliners.net pics it looks to me that the B777-31H is longer than the B777-300. Am i right?Would be grateful for some helpEK041

Well, my wife delivered our first baby 3 months ago (a girl). She's really cute.One thing interesting is that she is constantly saying "airplane". It's probably just babble but it still feels great since I am a big flight sim fan.This past weekend, my wife got sick so I had to pull full-time baby duty for 2 days. That's hard work! During a few feedings though I had the baby in front of my computer while I attempted a landing. I would feed her in one arm and occassionaly change the settings on the autopilot with the other hand. It's tough but it was fun. I couldn't do the "on final" or touchdown with her in my arms. When I got to that point, I put the sim on pause …

Please take time to remember the meaning of Memorial Day here in the United States. Today I think about the Uncle who died in France during WWII (I was named after him!). I also think of my other Uncle who died storming the beach in Normandy. I'm looking to purchase a quality set of rudders, but would like some input first from pilots who are using them. I don't necessarily want to spend a fortune, but am interested in quality and performance. I am tired of using the joystick for both my rudders and yoke, since it works terribly in crosswinds and in takeoff when you need them. Here is an update on the aiview.dll that I also found on usenet. I think this explains everything. "Just thought I'd let you know, that the new AIVIEW.dll module forisn't all that special. How come the larger, more towering clouds have such a nasty effect on FPS in FS? When flying through 'ordinary', more everyday clouds this hardly effect performance but when flying through 'big' clouds is slows FS right down. Of course ideally I'd avoid these clouds like real world but without a wx radar and the way in which new weather suddenly appears with FS Meteo makes this nearly impossible.Anyone any ideas? Surely as far as FS is concerned, a cloud is just a cloud?!Tom

I'm running FS2K2 using an STB Velocity 128 card. Screen resolution in windows is set to 1024x768, yet in FS2K2, the best I can get is 800x600. 1024x768 isn't even shown as an option. Any ideas?Thanks,Elliott

Hi all,Does anyone know how to disable the detect crash and reset part so that crashes are detected but it does not reset back to the original airport? I find this very jaring (beyond the fact that I just crashed). And if there is damage to the craft, I would like to see where it was - I presume I can do this to some level since some cfg files now have damage=1. And many times the replay does not appear to be working.Thanks.WS

Ok, I've got a problem that is driving me nuts, even more nuts than my wife says I am!!!! All of a sudden, my throttle starts jumping around by itself. I will be flying right along in a cessna or mooney, or any of the small planes and my trottle will drop to idle. In just a short hop remaining in the pattern it did it four times. Then when I landed and brought it to an idle, it suddenly went the other way and had the engine racing. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled 3 times today but it still does the same thing. Anyone have any ideas? Don

I just downloaded the Dassault Mirage IIIC "Vexin" from http://www.attach2.com/mirage/home.html , but when I select it in FS 2002 I am getting an error message stating that ALTGPS2.gau were incompatible and would be deactivated. However, contrary to the message saying I could still run the plane without that gauge I am getting the send/don't send box and subsequent FS relaunch.Anyone know of a way to get this gauge working? AFAIK it is supposed to be some kind of moving-map display - just like the default FS 2002 GPS gauge, but with a map underlaid.Thanks!
