Wasn't there some bug with Ttools or AFCAD where the AI aircraft would go to an airport, but instead of landing, they'd just fly to their next stop? What if a few of these bugged airports were placed in the desert near Reno, so the AI would take off and just fly around in circles until they got back to their starting airport? I'm thinking that if this is possible, someone could make about six functioning airports in the same spot with close parallel runways. A few brightly colored warbirds could be programmed with Ttools to have identical schedules from these parallel airports and "race" along this course. Does this sound feasable to anyone?

With the new airspace display in the Reality XP GPS, I just had to check this out...Yes, FS 2002 really takes the upper and lower altitude boundaries of class B sectors into account. You can fly under the 'inverted wedding cake' without being prompted to request transition clearance until you climb into a higher sector or cross into one at an altitude within its limits. Not a big deal maybe, because failing to request permission does not carry any penalties (not even a naggong controller-actually, I don't know what would happen in real life), but still a nice touch...

I have been following the posts regarding performance increase,or lack, between the new GF4s and some of the older cards - like, say my GF3 64MB. But :1. Will the 128 MB GF4 improve smoothness? ( If I pan quickly in the VC I tend to see texture blocks being filled in. Will 128MB on videofix that? )2. Will I be able to run 4xAA instead of 2xAA ?3. what about smoothing running 1600x1200 instead of 1260x960 ?4. any other advantages of a GF4-4*00 ?5. any framerate boost going from GF3 to GF4-4600 when running ona P3-1GZ ?6. I do plan on going to a 1.4 celeron from powerleap ( not out yet - only 1.3 so far ) in place of my P3-1GZ - the net cost after recycling my P3 on ebay…

  6. Hello chopper drivers,I've always wanted to fly the default Bell (for lack of any comparible vc's) but, found it nearly impossible to control.Well the other day I recieved my Tracker IR, coupled with 3d glasses and the Aura Interactor, and flying the Bell became a quest. Yet, flying it around was easy, getting it off the ground was a chore let alone hover or try to land on a target. It became frustrating.I have ridin in a chopper a few times, but I'm no expert or real pilot. I read an article in AOPA about a robinson r22 and noted the comments the pilot made about the hydralics. Well I'm no rocket scientist but if I had a control that used hydralics, wouldn't I have a sti…

Does any of you out there own the eDimension 3D Glasses? It's the kind of 3D glass that everyone talks about that enhanced your FS experience. If so, I just want to hear some of your opinions about the product. I am planning to buy this product but is not really sure about the quality and the fun factor of it . So, I would really appreciate if those of you who own them could give me some advice. Thanks.

You should all visit this link and check out the next card from Matrox. Parhelia-512. It supports up to 4 displays and is supposedly several times faster and has more hardware effects than anything from NVidia.[www.matrox.com/mga/products/parhelia512/technology/surround_gaming.cfm]Check out the sample images from FS2002.Frederick

HiGreat! I turn my back for three months and my account is cancelled and no-one is allowed to talk about p*****s anymore. Strange Policies.Anyway, I think AVISM left my post on long enough for me to check the replies of those who dared to answer. Thankyou Schofi, to name but one.Anyway, I've completely lost track of FS2002, and thought I'd ask users which aircraft add-ons, payware or freeware, are currently considered to be the best. It used to be PIC 757/767, Phoenix 747 and 737 (can't remember who did that). I was also fond of Bill Rambow's DC3.After aircraft, which other add-on's would fans recommend? I'm sure there's a hotlist of files to make FS2002 really cool. Scho…

2002 that is.Even though there's no you-know-what on the way. Even though I strongly feel some things should have been done differently.Got a little bored with what I had and I just couldn't resist. I think it was the barrage of great screen shots, in part.Anyway, I reserve the right to whine about it as much as I did before :) but at least now if someone does something to improve any aspects of it I can participate. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute beyond constructive criticism. So because I'm behind the curve, I'll search for answers to questions such as "Why are the trees so big?" before I post the questions ;)Andrew

Hi there!I was suprised to discover that no one had under taken the task of creating AFCAD's for Wilco's more absolutely fab AP2000 Vol.3?!!The only one I could find was Copenhagen (EKCH) my home town airport, so that was neat! But I love flying in the US so I'd like to see some AFCAD's, but I did not find any!I have just finished KSFO, I uploaded it yesterday to flightsim and www.avsim.com so it should be on the shelves sort of speak, soon!I love PIC and what airline flies the 767 like UAL ( I know I know AAL, DAL and Hawaiian but still) so "short" KSFO-KDEN, KLAX-KDEN or KORD-KDEN flights were realized by Wilco's product, so that would be my next project...I want to get …

I was following an AI L1011 today (mine land okay) and I discovered that they use the speedbrakes on the way down. It was just like looking out the window of a real flight. Speedbrakes on, off, on, off and then when it landed they were deployed right on que. This is neat when you discover new "features" even after having it since first release. Yes, I went out shopping to find it the very first weekend and we are still enjoying all of the features!QUESTION: Are the other AI speedbrake equipped aircraft using them on the way down?ThanksBob

I used one of these in ground school back in early 70's.It has the moving dial to calc fuel consumption, density altitude, true airspeed, time and distance, true heading and ground speed. Any one out there remember these? Do they still make them? If they are not made anymore, when were they last made? And last but not least, Anyone know where I can get some instructions? I have figured out how some of it works but it would be nice to have a full set of instructions.TksBobG
