Can anyone walk me through the details they have used to set up their Radeon 8500 dual display video card? Specifically I am getting "bubbling" and "dancing" of the trees and building verticle edges. I understand the importance of selecting AA, and the refining boxes within MSFS "Hardware" and I have them all checked most of the time and there us no real loss in FPS. My problem is understanding the relationship of the settings I can choose in the OS WinXP "Display"/"Advanced" boxes for the Radeon. I mean I am not sure what refresh rate i should select from 75-125 MGZ refresh) or whether I should elect dither or no dither, or enable "Smoothvision" or not or enable the "…

I was flying my PIC to JFK when I noticed that suddenly only the left throttle/engine was being controlled by the AT (no failures set or active). I disconnected and found my joystick would also only move one throttle lever. Then I pressed E+2 to see if the other would start to work, and both stopped working! I crashed in the water about 10 miles off Rwy31L.Anyone know what key I may have accidentally pressed to cause this sudden separation of the left and right throttles and what, if any, keypress could sync them back up again?thanks...michael

So I spend the day chasing my tail for a couple of customers who, I think maybe, just wanted me to chase my tail. And the tail chasing was the high point of the day!A miserable day brightened only by hopes that the Deb would be in the library ready for download when I snuck home for dinner. My good wife got a message tonight from a well-intended friend of hers informing her of a virus that she had been sent, the file is jdbgmgr.exe. She deleted it, as instructed by the hoax e-mail. It was in C:WindowsSystem32 (Windows XP).Apparently it is some form of Java file. Almost all of her graphics applications now don't work. I also have this OS, and tried moving my file to her system, however no luck so far. It appears once only in my system at the above location, but she believes it appeared in various locations in her's; however she has color printers and several scanners attached.Has anyone heard of this hoax, and is there anything that can be done to recove…

The first is that the HSI won't show up on the panel. WHen I go to load the plane I get 2 or 3 warnings saying something about 3rd party gauges.and the 2nd thing is that I can only lower one notch of flaps in the air, if I try more a warning comes up accross the screen saying that I am going too fast when I am only going 80kts.I hope someone can help..Tim Garcia

Hi gals,well I need you again. Here's the problem. I have 2 computers side by side. Both have MSFS2002 installed. If I fly the same exact flight on my older computer, ATC asks me to taxi to the active runway, the chatter drop down box and gives me 3 choices! If i elect "Contact ground control " I get the needed "progressive" (red arrow) to the runway. All is normal! On my newest computer all is the same except after ATC asks me to get taxi instructions the drop down box only gives me 2 choices! "Dial Atis" #2 or "Contact ground" #1....When I hit #1 Key it cycles back to "contact tower" (no voice) and if i hit the key again it cycles back to "contact ground" (no voi…

Hello Simmers!,My birthday gift was FS2K2 Pro editionI am also now graduating from FS2K (Go figure---:)I have performed a custom install..and this issue may have been addressed, but I couldn't locate it in the forum.I am spoiled with the autopilot feature on FS2K from the menu bar drop down lists.Does the FS2K Pro version offer this?..I do not see it on the menu bar.On some aircraft, I can click around the cockpit and establish autopilot parameters..but sure miss the feature off the menu bar...Your input appreciated,c a star

Just about finished with my airport from the early times.

I got a letter back from avsim that I have to list every file in my setup.exe and then they have to check them.As I have several hundred files to type up and I am working all day today and tomorrow and part of Sunday it will take me a while to get this all done. Then I assume on their end it will take a while also for avsim to check up on them.I am really sorry for this delay but will work on it as fast as I can-and I think the reasons avsim does this is quite understandable.Thanks for your patience.http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/geofanim2.gif

In another thread I asked about persons who used the 3-D glasses in FS2002. There were some very positive responses and some comments about the difficulty of installation. I have been trying for 3 days to install them without any luck though eDimension support has tried to help. So I will rephrase my question more specifically.Has anyone with a GeForce2 Ultra video card and using WindowsXP been able to install these for use with FS2002? If so I would like to communicate with them. I have tried a number of drivers with the Stereo with no success. I suppose there is a "right" driver out there but I haven't been able to identify it. This HAS to be the best military, and possibly the best of any freeware I have downloaded for FS2K2 yet. It is an absolute must have. The textures are fabulous and the flight model is gloriously smooth. I am breathless, a highly commendable job Kirk!!!Run and get it NOW!!! Hello Simmers!OK, I upgraded my system (via a clean install) to Windows XP Pro. I am VERY VERY HAPPY with this new O.S. thus far. However, I noticed (as many in this forum have stated) that I lost a few FPS in MSFS2K2 compared to Windows ME.So, I have been on the performance boost bandwagon to improve the SMOOTHNESS of FS2K2, which I have lost since doing the upgrade. This is only indirectly asociated with simming, but... I am getting an AMD 2100 on an ASUS A7V333 mobo. I want to get 512megs of pc2700 DDR333 memory.ASUS recommends only certain company brands of memory, none of which are 512megs. How important is this? I'm planning on purchasing on line and the company has Samsung brand, but does not list the model#. Only registered and non-registered. I've seen a lot of posts lately about aircraft models lacking VC's and I've gotten quite a few requests for VC's on my own aircraft. So I thought I'd just toss out a few thoughts from a designers perspective.A VC is not just a casual add-on. You don't say, OK now that I've spent the last 100 hours doing the aircraft model I'll take an extra 15 minutes and whip out the VC.
