HELP PLEASE!!! Just purchased EZDOK for FSX and its driving me nuts!! Spent all evening trying to install the software and it refuses to run! I have Ultimate Traffic 2 and don't find it hugely ultimate, the airline paints are very out of date as are the schedules, I'm wondering if anyone has experience of MyTraffic 2013 from Aerosoft and can tell me if it's any better. An AI package where you don't have to put hours of work in would be really good. Too much to ask for 40 Euros? Thanks

Hello everyone, Recently I've been having issues with blurry/pixelated water textures. I've tried everything to revert it. Reinstalling backups, disabling addons, rebuuilding shader cache, rebuilding fsx.cfg, the whole 9-yards. Nothing seems to correct it! I also tried using FSWC to see if it would help and sadly it did not. It looks as if the water is just rendered in low resolution which I cannot understand as I've tried (and since reset) my config to 4098 using freeware HD textures. I've since reverted back to default and still getting pixelation. Please help! This is using FSWC: This is default water:

Hi ppl. I'm currently using SweetFX 1.4 + RadeonPro + HD6870 + Sublime Environment Xtreme preset. http://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/330/ I love it, it really gives a whole new look to FSX, BUT (there is always a but), the night is too dark, YES I know it must be dark, but lights are dark too, specially those that don't have enough contrast, example TAXI lights (totally null when SweetFX active), some apron lights, signs, and so on. The issue n1 is taxi lights because I really can't see a damn thing when taxiing. :(. Any easy tip to make lights shine?. I know there is a profile for ENB that uses a very nicely done palette, but I'm hoping to stay with SweetFX…

I finally bit the bullet... after 8-9 years... So I bought the Dornier Do-27 for FSX. However after installation when I select the aircraft in the aircraft selection menu FSX freezes and after a while crashes. Anyone experiencing this? Are there solutions. Hi I notice strange problem with blurry textures. For example every time I'm performing flight from EDDF to LDZA I have problems with blurry texture at specific point. If I fly on opposite direction from LDZA to EDDF this phenomena does not occurs. Strange, when this happens, VAS usage is not abnormal. If I continue flight and try to land to LDZA (this start to happens maybe 80nm from LDZA) I will have effects like elevation on ldza is not good. Ground and rwy texture mixed. But If I reload scenery during flight (when blurry texture start to appear), then for rest of the flight , textures are crisp and I don't have problems with elevation. This blurry texture happe…

I understand that the 24B needs its own unique c/d startup, but I am having no luck setting one up. I have loaded the fsx default air trike, then switched to the 24B. I then turn everything off: batts, fuel pumps, lights, every switch is in the off position, and the engines spool down to zero rpm (although the exh temp never quite goes to zero. I have then noticed that a number of indicator lights stay on, the FUS TANK green indicator for example. I save the new cold and dark aircraft (having changed to my home airport of KHPN) and then close FSX, and reboot the computer. Hello, since I've changed my OS from XP 32 bit to W7 Pro 64 bit, I've never managed to install it. I use the GPS on the Turbine Duke by Real Air: as I select the aircraft from FSX menù, FSX crashes. No problems with Turbine Duke installed only. Any solutions? Thanks Giorgio

I've just installed FSX Fibre Accelerator, and been playing with the settings. Turn off, restart FSX a couple of hours later and all my keyboard assignments and joystick assignments have gone! This has only happened before when I rebuilt my fsx.cfg. Has anybody experienced this before??

In FSX is there a setting or a way to walk around the airports? I Anchorage X and I'd like to be able to explore it either on foot or in a vehicle. If a third party software piece is required what would that be?

Can someone confirm that they can clearly hear switch clicking sounds when flicking the external lights on or off in the Majestic Q400 or the Wiper knobs, recirculation fan and/or bleed switches? I think I am having audio issues and manipulation of these switches do not produce any audio feedback need to know if this is normal or not. Thanks, Robert

I know that the way to align the IRS is to turn the knobs to align, enter the IRS set position in the FMC, wait until the "Time to Align" counter passes 1 minute, and then turn the knobs back to "Nav". When i do this however, my navigation display does show me my heading and has the word "map" in the center in yellow. The attached picture shows this. Also my attitude indicator will dissappear. If noone knows how to fix this, can someone tell me how to change the IRS align time so that it will be instant?

I have ordered fsx online and also shortly going to order the level d 767 for fsx.Will the navaids in fsx match up with the airac in the level d 767 for fsx.Would I have to update the fsx navaids and the airac for the level d 767 for fsx?.I would probably prefer not to update it because what I have read on the internet about it,it looks complicated.How up to date are the fsx navaids that come with fsx and the airac that comes with the level d for fsx? and could i fly for example north Atlantic tracks,rnav approaches the way they are without updating them?

I have read a lot of guides on fine-tuning for FSX, but I was just wondering more on the general spectrum, specifically in regards to addons and FPS. I recently purchased a middle-high end rig (specs are listed on the side), and so far I've been pretty happy with performance. The problem is that I don't really know what to expect FPS-wise out of it. I've been running a few tests, and my FPS have fluctuated anywhere from 8 to 40FPS, where I've set the limit (yet another question - should my FPS slider be set to unlimited). Hello Avsim users, I am considering a purchase of Flightbeams multiple award winning KDEN scenery, however I run FSGenesis (checked for the latest version, and I am up to date) and on Flightbeams KDEN FAQ it says there may be terrain incompatibilities such as plateauing, now according to FSGenesis they fixed this issue with their software, and if FSGenesis has the terrain elevation correct then I should have nothing to worry about, or so I assume. For the record I REFUSE to uninstall FSGenesis as IMO its the best payware terrain mesh you can buy, and its not worth the loss for 1 airport. Is it needed to run the 4gb_patch utility on FSX on a 64-bit system? I know it's recomended for FS9 but not sure after that. Thanks.

SImmers, I recently purchased a new rig (specs on my profile), and so far all has been going well. FPS between 16 and 40 during the flight, including tons of traffic, ASN, PMDG T7 and NGX, REX4, ENB, etc... Over 15 is fine, and usually it's around 20, which is perfect for me. Recently, though, I tried an approach into LVFR Miami (2.0), my first time into the airport with my new sim, and I found that performance was dreadful. As soon as I turned towards the terminal (I use EZCA and TIR as well), FPS dropped below 10, hovering around 8-9. Looking away in exterior, I was up to about 14, but still very low.
