I like using FS Commander for making my VFR flight plans but the default map is pretty much jut a black background with a few features such as lakes and rivers along with all the navaids and airports. I was wondering if there is something out there that would put the topography on the map.

well i purchased this as its in sale for £13 from justflight im glad to say i did not buy this at full price i have used this for around 8 hours and i cannot gel in this aircraft atall everything feels very clunky and reading through the manual if you want to make it more realistic you go into your files and change it from 0 to 1 to get the start locks to work seems pritty lazy. other thing is the installer was a nightmare not finding my fsx install directory never in the history of installing addon payware have i had this problem and after half an hour i just dropped the files into my fsx folder manually have not had to do this for years. also think it could b…

Dear all, After contacting the developer several times, he & I were all out of ideas regarding this issue. The developer did not get any similar reports of this issues. I would therefore like to ask here if somebody sees something we've missed or has some ideas to point me into the right direction. I have and for the first time I can remember I have had a bluescreen while using FSX. The eventlog also clearly points out gauge in this plane as have been caused the crash. Could this just be a random event? Or is this going to happen again. Do you recognise this problem? I use Win 7 x64.

Reading through several posts on A2A's support forums, it appears that their new 172 does not currently model any torque or gyro effect during takeoff and climbout. Apparently, A2A were not happy with FSX's core flight dynamics in this regard, so they decided to simply abandon the FSX limited physics altogether (by purposely and unrealistically limiting torque effect in the 172's FDE), and instead plan to model torque and gyro effect with Accusim at some later point in the future. As it stands now, however, takeoffs and climbouts in the A2A 172 can be performed without any rudder input at all. Yikes much? This is a pretty glaring flight physics omission…

Hi Opus, I absolutely love your weather engine. I have been using it for a while in FSX but have since migrated to P3D 2.4 Is there any guidance you can give me in regards to getting my FEX cloud textures into P3D? I know it is one of the cloud texture sets you guys recommend as they are more realistic. I completely agree but know that FEX will not work with P3D. Any guidance is appreciated. If not FEX, what should I look to, to achieve the same results. I have used REX as well but feel they tax my system more and are very aggressive looking. Thank you very much. Dan

Hi Chris, You once talked about a switch to turn all packages of NE off for daytime flying with on click and the same to turn them on foe nighttime flying. Already I made a batch file to turn the current packages on or off but with each new package I manually have to make 2 new scenery.cfg files.

I find myself having to go back to DX9. I have too many airports that have lighting issues, even with the DX10 fixer. I do miss the bloom effect so I decided to try the 24h EMB Mod. WOW! Awesome! I do have some CTDs, even when running FSX in WinXP SP3 compatability mode. Has anyone successfully been able to run the EMB Mod without CTDs? If yes, can you share your driver version and or settings? Anyone with any knowledge, please share advice. Thanks. Jose

I have been flying with FSX for a number of years and have never seen this before! For some reason I have a bunch of airports that do not display any AI traffic. I am trying to pin down the area but it appears to be mostly northeast USA. For example I can go to KFLL, KJAX, KDFW, Caribbean and see AI. But if I go to KLGA, KPHL, KPIT, KBWI, nothing! I used AIFlightplanner to ensure no mixing of FS9 and FSX traffic files, but as I understand it, if I had a mix of traffic files I would see no AI in ALL locations! The last time I saw AI traffic in the northeast was KBWI around the middle of last month. I use World of AI packages. If anyone has had a similar experience and…

Hello all I been running networked Traffic Optimizer since the day it was released without any problems. However, due to a hard drive failure, I recently had to change my client machine. I thought that I'd restored everything back to how it was, but now whenever I attempt to run Traffic Optimizer, I receive the generic Window XP message, "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect, etc..." I know that I'm obviously missing something obvious here, but apart from .NET 4.0, are there anyother pre-requisites that I need to also have installed ? Any help much appreciated !!! Gary

Hello guys this is my first post on this forum, I would like to make my Runway lights brighter and quite visible from distance like 10-12NM away from the airport. I know light textures are located in FSX/Textures/Halo.bmp however I noticed once you edit that file in Photoshop it doesn't show any lights at all. Does anyone know a way to make the lights Brighter and Visible from distance?

I just bought the FSX version for UUEE (yeah, well done me for actually reading the part that said FS2004 here before commenting) and installed without opting for any of the VAS easing options. As soon as I have time, I will load the PMDG 777 there and do some circuits, I'll report on what I experience when I'm done.

I am planning on setting up my 3d vision with my nvidea card...just wondering about the steps. 1. Buy the 3d vision glasses with IR emitter. 2. Run the 3d vision wizard. 3 Start fsx...load a flight..then toggle between 2d and 3d by hitting CTRL T? I tried CTRL t just now and nothing happened so I am assuming that I once I enable 3d vision then it will function? P.S. I have an hdmi Samsung tv that I am using for my monitor...about 2 years old. Can I just run the 3d vision setup wizard and select the red/blue "theatre glasses" option...and keep a pair of those glasses the next time I go to a movie instead of the whole 3d glasses and IR emitter package?

I want to install my Opus on a new PC. Not sure how to do this. I tried copying the Opus folders in to C drive and then installed the new beta, but the key does not get recognized. Thanks for the help Peter

Hi guys, Really at a loss here - I have created a few cameras in the Editor, and assigned aircraft types to them with the Assign Aircraft Types to the Camera button. I then exited FSX and Opus, in order to create cams for a different plane. With the idea of backing up in mind, i exported all these cams. Thing is, Opus wont recognise the aircraft type when i load FSX - it always defaults to the Majestic Q400. I have gone through it all and i cant find why this is happening. Also, after a reboot, Opus will no longer allow my to assign joystick buttons to cameras, even though nothing in FSX or FSUIPC is assigned. FSX sees my hardware fine. Can anyone ple…

hi all, on fsx startup i get a couple of erros saying scenery area 118,119,120,122,123 not found. i had ftx nz but then uninstalled it. i know i need too delete the text from the config file but the problem is the text isnt there but the simulator is still reading the scenery from somewhere. i hope someone can help and i appreciate any answers and help i get.
