hi i'm wondering if is there a possibility to prevent opusfsx to reset spot view.Every time i use virtual cockpit view then i switch to spot view, the view reset to the default spot view ( camera behind aircraft ). with fsx default virtual cockpit views the view remains the same if i cycle between VC and spot view. thank you in advance

I fly all default aircraft with the default GPS and am wanting to know if it's possible to do an RF leg in the default GPS without selecting an approach in the GPS. I mean by just adding the correct waypoints in the FSX planner, but still be able to do the RF leg. Thanks. P.S If anyone says that I have to buy the PMDG aircraft, I'm not. If I just had to buy the aircraft without always constantly having to update the AIRAC in the FMC, maybe I would. But you have to pay more money for having an update in the FMC. That right there makes me not want to buy it.

I'm thinking of buying the Madrid scenery from Aerosoft made by SimWings but I noticed it's quite old and still quite pricey. For you guys already having this scenery on your disk, do you find it worth it's money despite it's age?

Hi guys, I´m thinking of replacing my aging C206 Stationair II (one of Carenado´s first for FSX). It still flies good but the grafics are just plain bad. Replacement will probably be their C177 Cardinal (or an other similar suited single engine plane with reasonably short filed capability while keeping up a nice cruise speed, give some tips.). Anyway, onto the topic: As the C177 isn´t equipped with an autopilot but I´d love to have some basic help when flying (flying longer distances by hand is pretty exhausting). I bought the FSPS FSX Fiber Accelerator just 3 months ago for $32.95. I got an email from the developer announcing the P3D version...for another $36.97. The FSX version was purchased through FS PilotShop, but when I log in I see nothing about P3D. It's only being offered on the FSPS store for now. Does the FSX key work with the P3D version? Or are we expected to buy it again?

As a NOOB to both this excellent forum and to FSX, I'd like the opinions from the experienced users here on the FSX default aircraft. I'm using FSX Gold with Acceleration pack. I've been reading posts on 'Favorite Aircraft', 'Best Aircraft' etc in an effort to determine the 'must have' planes in my arsenal. In all the posts I've read, I don't recall a single mention of any of the FSX default aircraft. I've tried most of them and they generally seem okay to a novice. Decent looks, generally fairly complete instrument and switch function, 'reasonable' (??) flight characteristics... Are they all in fact pretty poor? Are any worthy of attention? hi all just have a quick question what is the best planner to use to make my hops as efficient as possible i have seen a thing called fseplanner that looks pritty good do any of you use this. only thing that putting me off is i have to enter my fse details to login and i have to pay a monthly subscription from my fse account but i just gave them my log details to do this so im not sure i want to do that. i also use plan g but trying to link up all airports on that is tricky to get most efficent route it seems alot simpler on fseplanner. so what do you guys use to plan your flights in fse economy. cheers and have a good weekend

OOMS, I've been getting these after installing PNW, but I had a few with Orbx England, too. My system is no slouch, and I'm flying planes like the A2A Trainer and Carenado Caravan. So it's been a frustrating few weeks testing the settings I have to find a way to fly at sunset for more than half an hour :( I think my main problem has been traffic, I like quite alot of traffic.... Switching to DX10 seemed like the last resort, but it was pretty easy, especially with Steve's DX Fixer for sale. I've barely seen any problems, and tried hard to get FSX to OOM but the Caravan just kept on flying across England, over Southampton, Heathrow, London and eventually dropped down …

To be clear, the flight plans I'm trying to use were generated using FS Commander and saved. When I load a saved flight plan, I'm unable to use it in VFR flight. If I choose VFR from the flight plan page after laoding the plan, FSX takes me to where I would be generating a new flight plan and saving it. Does that mean that FS Commander is not allowing for VFR flight in the flight plan it generates and when I change that on the FSX flight plan page, it becomes a new flight plan with all my waypoints gone? Hey all im stuck at a crossroads here really im needing a decent flight model to fly in fseconomy currently flying turbine duke but need something bigger so i can make more money per flight. now the problem i have is the 2 addons that catching my eye are the pmdg j41 and the flight1 b200 im not sure what one to pick. im swaying more towards the j41 for several reasons more cargo capacity/passengers i own other pmdg products and there fantastic its also cheaper than the flight 1 b200 and the only reason i havent made a decision really is that from what i can see the j41 looks very dated compared to the new b200 as it is a newer release the b200 looks …

The other night I went to my windows control panel and then over to the programs list page when you want to uninstall something, and I noticed that FSX is missing from that list, so is Xplane 10. All of my addons are listed. I tried searching google for an answer and couldn't find one. Also some programs don't have a file size listed, but I read that this is common. Does anyone know why this could be happening? Thank you

I just wondering if any others are having a problem with Prepar3D (New Patch) and loading your planes? I had no problem prior to Ver 2.1 but now, no landing gear, no cockpit either VC or 2D. Just wondering if any one else may have a decent fix?

I have FS Commander loaded up and connected to FSX. The "Nav data" display comes up and so does a little black window...that never changes or displays anything. I would love to have the moving map visible but, I'm unable to change the size of it so, when I have it visible, it blocks out my cockpit view and that kind of makes flying a bit difficult. I tried making a flight plan to depart from 4SD (Reno/Stead), fly around sight seeing, then return to 4SD but, all the waypoints I put in dissapear when I try to save it. Hi there AVSIM! I know about all the bad bits of making a user aircraft in FSX into AI (Frame rate loss, weird actions etc etc) but I really want to use the FSX XPac EH101/ Merlin to populate the nearest RAF base to me (RAF Benson!)... is there a way I can do this? Or is there an EH101 AI model I can download? Thanks! Jake!

All is running well with my FSX and WindowsXP except when using the Flight Planner the number of states shown to be available is only 36 (missing Col, Wyo, Utah, Neb, etal ... mostly in central west) not the 50 that is shown when I run FS2002. Eg: typing in Denver takes me to Denver, No. Carolina. Activating "Western North America" either in FSX or the program FSX Configuator does not make any difference. There are no error messages, like "missing file so&so". Plan G sends me to a somewhat barren map void of VORs, etc to Colorado when selected., but "map" in FSX GPS is of no help. Hi, I have an i7-920 @ 4GHz, with Hyper threading ON. My graphics card is gtx 960, and use BP=0 in fsx.cfg I have fps set at 15, and 1/4 vsync in Nvidia inspector. I get smooth fps at 15. Would including affinitty mask in fsx.cfg help ?. And if it would what should be the value. I am basically looking for a smooth flight. I also have SweetFX installed. Thanks in advance Hari

I looked and could not find anything exactly like this. I had an issue on my previous computer where the extra liveries of all the default planes, and some of the add on planes just disappeared one day. I was having frame rate issues and other problems with the computer so we bought a new one (with windows 8.1) Installed FSX today and have the same problem with the missing planes. I looked in the files and they all have thumbnails and the aircraft files look like I think they should. The frame rate problems are solved with the new hardware. Still waiting to reinstall my traffic software and scenery...hope no problems arise with them. First, any tips on how…

Hi all, a question I don't even know how to ask properly: how can I remove the FSX key binding for the '^' key, on a German keyboard (key is to the left of the '1' key on the main key block)? When I assign something to that key in FSX it calls it 'ZIRKUMFLEX', and it is bound to TOGGLE_MOUSE_LOOK by default - but I cannot find that mapping anywhere, not even in the controls.xml file - any chance to get rid of that?

Looking at buying some more airports for the PMDG 777. Istanbul looks like a auto gen nightmare. What are this airports like, for quality and FPS hit? Any feed back is welcome as they need to be flyable with the 777.

I uploaded the new version today and I'm I'm getting a TAT of +34C at FL330. It's knocking my AP off and affecting my airspeed and cruise level and I'm wondering if it's the upgrade or something else?
