I know that the numerical designation of a runway indicates what compass direction it runs but that's about it... I'm unsure of the "right" or "left" meaning in reference to the runways or much else about things like taxiway designations and things like that. A map of whatever airport I was at would certainly help a lot! Not sure is there is something within FSX or an addon that I could use for that. I guess what I'm looking for is something that would help me understand how to perform the directions given by ATC while on the ground. What the airport layout conventions are and such.

FSXSVC is a script for the free tool GlovePIE and offers a lightweight, free voice recognition capability for FSX. For a while now I have had no road vehicles in FSX, even with the slider set to 100%. I'm a bit confused. Boats appear and that's no problem but why only road vehicles don't show up, I have no clue. So I was hoping someone could help me and had a clue or insight on this issue. I have My Traffic 2013 and FTX Global. (Those are the only addons I see having any influence on roads and vehicles) So if anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it

I was just asking myself, I want to do longer flights using INS. Now the aircraft i want to do this in is an Airbus a300, it has 2 CDU's As far as i know i can store 9 waypoints, but can i also store 9 waypoints in my left CDU, and then store the other 9 waypoints in the right CDU? So when i've flew all the waypoint 1 to 9 in my left CDU, i then select 0 to 1 in the right CDU and so on? Or doesn't it work that way? Don't mind me, im just learning a new navigation system,

Hi community, What I've found this week may or may not be known in the community, but I will go ahead and share it anyway. Like most other long time simmers here, I spend a lot of time tweaking up FSX, but last week I decided to stop doing that and actually get some flying in. I have a reasonably up to date computer; I'm running my sim with FTX global, and REX4 texture direct, and Steve's DX10 fixer. I also still have a lot of older aircraft on my spare drive. I found out much to my delight that my old Lionheart TB10 / TB21 series of aircraft work perfectly fine within my sim, despite it being said that they do not work in FSX with SP2. So... I use MAIW traffic and I want to remove the default "Orbit Airlines" and other terrible airlines... using the traffic sliders affects the MAIW traffic too, deleting the traffic BGL crashes the game and WOAI overrides the MAIW traffic too... how can I fix this? I would prefer to only have GA traffic, but if that has to go too then so be it!! Thanks! NOTE: If I install UT2, can I still add in this MAIW traffic??

Hello Everyone! After blowing stuff up for 30 years in combat flight simulators an article caught my eye several months ago about an add-on for FSX/FS9 called Air Hauler. The article mentioned being able to start an air freight company in the 1930's. So I purchased Air Hauler and both FSX Gold and FS9(2004) last week after being confused by several different articles on other forums arguing over whether FSX or FS9 was better for Air Hauler. Greetings, I was learning how to use the FMS tonight when I noticed something odd. When I put in VOR as a waypoint, select the waypoint, then select "Info" it gives me the freq that I can use to tune NAV 1 or 2. However, when I add a Victor Airway this does not happen. As an example I add V448 from Mules which ends at OED I think. When selecting any of the VOR's in the flight plan they all have a freq of 0.00. Is this a bug? Or is this by function? If it's expected behavior, using the airway method would seem kind of useless for people like me that use the FMS to look up the freqs. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Can anybody help me out?? I downloaded all of the FSDT and Flight Beam addons and on all of them I have no taxi or runway lights. Just boxes. All the stock airports are working right. I'm doing some recording using fraps and it seems to do OK but, it seems to narrow my screen and I end up with a black border on each side when recording in full size. If I go to half size, it does not narrow the screen any and it shows the whole screen. I'm not sure what "half size" really means in fraps. Is there some setting on my computer's video or in FSX that I should change to get fraps to record "full size" without it narrowing the shot and putting a border to each side?

Hey guys! I just wanted to share what helped me to eliminate all my microstutters in FSX. First of all I'm using FSX SP2, Majestic's Dash 8, FTXG and Active Sky Next. I have all settings to the right except Autogen which is at sparse. AA is set to 4xs via Nvidia Inspector On my system FSX runs well at a locked framerate of 60 FPS (external limiter) with no times under that. BUT i was expieriencing those microstutters every few seconds and that annoyed me. Few days ago i was fiddling with settings and tried to get rid of the stutters...nothing helped. Hi folks! Question that I often ask myself which someone might know the answer to. I have both ASN and Opus Weather Engines and think they are both good at what they do, however why is it that when ASN updates the weather the clouds remain and no sudden change and yet Opus cannot do this? Is it because ASN runs outside of the sim....I am just curious, I know and have read that Opus states it is a limitation of the flight sim, bit just wondered if anyone had any idea.. As I said I support both and they are good products so no argument there....just trying to understand the workings.. All the best

Hello everyone, Any news about the q300 being developed? Im a big fan of the dash8 series and I work around them alot in real life. Would really love to fly a proper 100, 200 or 300 with good visuals. The older fs9 version just isnt good enough, ofcourse visually and also system-wise. Regards.

I have been away for over a year from sim flying and am thinking about getting back into it now that fs2crew has come out with its addon for the 777, along with the sp for the 777 and the 777 updates to topcat. I used to use vox atc and then switched over to all vatsim flying. I was recently watching some videos of proatc X having a release in the next few weeks. Which ATC program is going to work best going forward? I know there was a lot of complaints about pro atc not being updated etc, but is this latest update a complete overhaul and will it be setting the standard for ATC? Hi all. Im having the most irritating problem with a good few of my aircrafts after installing my new GTX690 card and setting it up in a 5760 x 1080 surround view (3x 24"). The NGX works perfectly though. After searching through various forums, Ive learned im not the only one with this problem: Mouse flickers constantly, and eventually leading to fsx crash to desktop. However, mostly Ive only read about people experiencing this when using 2d panels. As far as I can tell, all the solutions presented so far involve changing the window size of the 2d panels in the panel.cfg of all the aircrafts you want to fly (that have this problem, obviously). Now, for a couple of months I have been playing around with FSX, PMDG 737 and Radar Contact. What an amazing world J I use SimBrief for flight planning, but I would like to raise the bar a bit and expect to buy PFPX. Q1: I would like to have updated navdata. I plan to get a subscription for Navigraph. On their web site I find updates for PFPX and PMDG, but FSX is not on the list. How is FSX getting updated? Q2: Does PFPX has any limitation (compared to FSbuild) concerning europe?

Hello. I am setting up a new Windows 7 system to fly on using both FS9 and FSX and am hoping someone can answer a question for me. From what I understand DX11 is installed as part of Windows 7, and can't be removed, but it is missing some pieces of the older version of DX and by itself FSX (and probably FS9) has issues. I decided to just practice runway approaches and landings so, I went into free flight, chose a 172 to use, a local airport (reno/stead), and got ready to go. Flight plan had same origin and destination. When I called up the ATC, all looked pretty good. I chose the options to stay in pattern for a touch and go landing and all went well until I performed the landing...from that point, there wasn't any option to simply take right back off but only options to taxi to the hangar or to refuel... How do I get the ATC to allow for me to simply keep rolling and take off again?

I need help with this please. I create n new company and select Serengeti Park scenario but how do I start the scenario when I open FSX.
