Hello, I have just installed fs2002 for the first time, one word WOW, The scenery and the environement is the best I have seen in any sim, the terrain engine is so great, I love the scenery, airports, I don't have pixels or crap things texture, just looked at the library of msfs tons of 3rd party available, the mesh download looks great, the water is truly represent the real world for a (sim), great costline, beach world wide, pretty great water reflection here :-) I LOVE the AI, still some lack on some default aiecraft , but the VIRTUAL COCKPIT I like it :-), I don't care, there is some excellent 3rd party aircraft and commercial this will fix it, ATC RADAR CONTA…

I haven't heard of this even though I seen in the drop down view list a Chase view unabled selection.I was playin around with FDC, and by mistake I hit Cntrl-Shift-W and there was it: A spot view of the nearest AI, cruising, taking off and landing, and If I kept on hitting the same combination I cicled through different aircrafts!!For those who knew that, great! and for those like me taht never seen that try it, with your custom AI paintings and two views, one from the tower and another from this chase view, there's a lot of fun seeing the traffic!!There's also another great add on that I got in Flightsim.com (I could manage to get In!!) the AI sounds, they are great!!…

Hi,I am loving this aircraft so far. Have any of you noticed that the outer landing lights on the wings are pointing into the ground? Am I the only one with this problem? Hi there,I looked at their site but couldn't find any info regarding minimum system requirements. I was wondering if anyone with a slow(er) system could report how it actually runs on an ancient PC.My main concern is the cockpit view, as long as one of them works pretty smooth I'm happy. Downloaded a great plane from flightsim.com last night. Plane is by the FS-Berlin group and there WEB Site is at www.fs-berlin.da.ru.It's a 12 MB download but while worth it. Comes with panel (2D) and a great sound set. I was really impressed. It's a keeper!They apparently have, and are working, on other planes but I haven't checked out their WEB Site yet.For those who love older prop planes this is a must!!!

So far so good but no panel lights in VCAnyone found it. 2d panel lights works great and you can configure the dome light color. BobG

I see a lot of posts about people having trouble with their PC's crashing, becoming unstable, and so on. It's been my experience that the most frequently overlooked cause of PC problems is inadequate cooling. True, most CPU's and graphics boards come with built in fans, but all they do is circulate the air around inside the case. I recently helped a guy at work with a balky PC. Upon opening the case I discovered a 1.6ghz P4, and a radeon 8500 board, plus 512mb of ram chugging along inside a cramped mini-tower with no auxiliary cooling whatsoever. I've posted on PSS forum about this, but thought here might be an idea too:I'm flying the patched PSS 777 in Fs2002. I observe that the very first waypoint of every flightplan I create in FSNavigator 4.5 and export to FS2002 and then import into the PSS FMC (747-400 or 777) vanishes. I have to re-insert that first waypoint manually into the FMC. This never happened in Fs2000; all waypoints were preserved in the migration across FS applications.Has anybody else experienced this phenomenon? If so, is there a fix for it?I appreciate any advice/posts, thanks!JS

Before they take me off to the poor house, I wanted to mini-review my new Mach V Gaming System from Falcon NW. Please understand that it is not my intention for this to sound like gloating, as financially the system did set me back considerably. I have also suffered with FPS of 8-12 for the last 3 years. My previous systems were very high-end for the time (P3 800 for FS2000 and Athlon 1.4 for FS2002 beta testing). I tried every conceivable tweak a non-computer guy could perform to no avail. The 747 could not be flown. The Airport 3, Project Open Sky, etc add-ons could not be added. My only add-ons were terrain mesh and night textures as well as some clouds, moon, stars, …

Hi All, I have been having problems with my newly aquired products. I have managed to install and calibrate them but when i reboot my system i lose all the settings and i have to start from scratch. I have downloaded the control utility from the manufacters web site to try to recitfy the problem to no avail. Infact this utilty only causes more problems! (I'm sure i'm not using it correctly but the instructions are as clear as mud!) I was advised by someone to try a plug in USB card to see if that helps! It doesnt!!!!!! I have a very big problem with my fs2002 (pro).It started a few days ago.It was all ok but now I don't hear the voice of a pilot,I don't hear air trafic control (I can see the window and messages but I don't hear them) and all aircrafts are either not to hear or have the sound of cesna.I have not instaled anything lately.I tried to reinstall but the problem is still there.If that can help I installed some time ago nvidia detonator (driver for my geforce 2 mx/mx400 64mb for windows xp),but fs2002 was functioning good also after that).I don't know what to do.Please can somebody help me.Flying without sound is just NO FUN.I checked everything in fs2002 settings and there is …

Hey guys,I don't really know what happened, but it seems that FS2002 degrades over time. Is it just me? Suddenly FS isn't quite as sharp (it just seems a bit fuzzy), and I finally used the ole "Shift+Z" command to see what my FPS was (simply out of curiosity), and I noticed that my FPS was fluctuating between 20 and anywhere from 18 all the way down to 10. Prior to this my FPS remained rock steady at 20 (where it's locked at). Wow!! Finally able to finish a flight without locking up in almost three days!! And what a flight it was. If anyone was flying into Heathrow tonite, wow the weather. Right down to minimums, thank god I had an Airbus that could go down to Cat III mins. Broke out around 150 feet, hand-landed it, and taxied up to the gate in Gary Summons' Heathrow. Granted the frame rate sucked, I've got some tweaking to do I think. Hopefully, I won't mess anything up. I will post a copy of a message in the FSim.com forum for those who missed it or don't frequent the site.I believe that this fix is most important as there is nothng more annoying than those aircraft where you can't see the landing lights from the cockpit. I have tried everything possible, and still cannot get SB Live to give clean sound in FS2K2 as well as in windows XP in general , there is a loss of frame rates associated with sound turned on also , and it seems as though the processor is doing the work nstead of the sound card.. I am getting lots of choppy graduations in sounds .. Is this it For XP ? I mean if I cannot get this working properly I am definitely going back to my old Me despite the occasional crashes. Please if you know a way let me know, I have downloaded the latest drivers and everything and nothing seems to work as smooth as Win Me did. in termns of sound and Fs2002 I mean. Thanks
