Just as i've just decided what i'm planning to upgrade my computer to, i hear from a computer company that Athlon are removing the Athlon 2100XP from both the US and UK market because the chip is found to be very unstable and causes the computer to crash.I have no evidence on this as yet, but i'm dissapointed to say the least.I suppose the next one down is the Athlon 1800 - whats that like with FS?CheersWill

This thing should be an absolute stunner!While the engineering sample benchmarked is only running at 800Mhz, its memory performance beats out the P4 at 1.6Ghz - with RDRAM! The test unit had DDR333. Its Quake III results were as high as the P4 at 1.6Ghz as well:800 MHz. Clawhammer: 183 FPS800 MHz. Athlon MP: 133 FPS1667 MHz. Athlon MP: 210 FPS1600 MHz. P4: 182 FPSConsidering AMD will probably release this as low as 1.6Ghz (3400+) I thought it was looking shaky... But man, it should be an absolutly insane barn burner. Quite Impressive! Summer is upon us and CH Products promised a fix for the inability to use both 4-way buttons on the non-USB flight yoke. Has anyone heard anything on this issue??Dick

Does anyone think there will be away so that from the internal views you could see the shadow of your plane as you can see it from external views etc. I know its a frame rate killer or would be but it would be nice if there was a config switch where you could take off and look out of the window and see your shadow lifting off beside you or if you were in virtual cockpit mode to see you aircraft shadow down below skipping over the buildings, would be handy for when you are landing also.Anyway just a thought.Im quite intrigued as to why you can see it in external views and not internal views anyway.Craig Kiltie

This plane is currently at the Hiller Museum in San Carlos California. We watched it fly around for some time a few days ago.It was cool to see something like that still flying!

What program do you use to open downloaded files that use an icon of a peice of paper with the microsoft windows symbol on the front of it. It usually appears on desktop after a file has been downloaded, please help!!!

How do I get a compressed folder when I download something instead of what I get now which is a file that looks like a peice of paper with the microsoft windows sign on it? This file never seems to want to open in any program so I am going to find out how it gets downloaded in a compressed folder format. Any help?? Please!!!!!!!!!!

Do any of you have these graphics cards? Hi everyone,I dont know if others feel it too, but I for one think the landing lights in FS2k2 from inside the cockpit s**k. They are too bright and honestly dont cover too much region in front of you. With the SDK's out, is there any way for developers to come up with a better set of landing lights where the beam falls further out and is less of a "white wash" effect.FLY II have much nicer landing lights, very natural.Thanks a ton.Dinshaw.

Are they needed at all? I fly MSFS2002 PERIOD! I am running FS2k2 standard version.I have a problem with some of my 2K aircraft when I install them into 2k2 in relation to the autopilot.For example;Flying at FL80 and 240KIAS using heading hold, speed hold and altitude hold. No problems here. ATC now instruct me to turn right 10 degrees for traffic. If I input the new heading in the heading selector the a/c turns. Fine. If I choose to perform the turn manually but leaving speed and altitude to the a/p, as I deselect heading hold the wing leveller automatically becomes active, I cannot turn and I cannot deselect it without re activating the heading hold. The only alternative seems to be to disconnect the a/p altogether.…

Greetings to all,I have downloaded the Piper Cherokee 180 LN-ROG (plus its update) from the library, uploaded by Roger Austli and Ole Egholm.I already have the Carenado Piper Tomahawk downloaded, as it uses the same gauges, plus the patch from Carenado for Windows XP Home Edition and it works fine.However when selecting the Cherokee on the aircraft selection screen the aircraft appears but then MSFS crashes back to the desktop (Windows XP Home Edition) when I then click OK to move on the next selection screen.I know this has been a problem with Carenado aircraft thats why they have patches to address the problem, (with their aircraft), MSFS crashing back to the desktop wi…
