Is there anyway of quiting a FS2002 adventure WITHOUT getting back to the select-your-flight main menu (like in FS2000?). The way it was in FS2000 was better.:-vuur

Concerning my previous posting, as i said i was waiting an email from AMD to conferm whether everything was ok with the Athlon 2100XP chipset.They said that the chipset is 100% stable, and they have no plans to recall any stock from the market.It just leaves me to apologise further and to tye my hands behind my back until i get all my facts straight first, and lastly....I'm sticking with my original plan to BUY AN ATHLON 2100XP!!!!..Also welcome back Paul. :-waveCheers guys, learnt a useful lesson :-hang Will :-scatter

Dear Members, I have purchased the USB CH Pro Pedals,and one thing they are GREAT...But I have a problem so far.I am following the instructions for the manual..I am sure that I am following the instructions but when I come,to calibrate them the CH pedals are not in the Gaming options,and so i can't enable them ....I noticed something,that on the Device Manager,in the Sound,Video game controllers there are the CH Pro Pedals and a little bit in the upper,there is a name called Human interface Devices (and if i click it i see the HID Complaint Device .Can anybody please tell me what are these,and is this normal of getting them ? I have d/loaded the Island Charters 1 texture file for the C421 several times but on each occasion I get the error message that the zip file does not appear to be a valid one and it therefore does not open. If the file was corrupt I would expect something like a CRC error message. I'm not having any trouble with other zip files from Ron Hamilton.Is anyone having a similar problem?David

Since 01 June, I am suddenly getting snow on the ground at sea level in the subtropics at a latitude of 27 degreees south -- yet I get NO snow at 10,000 feet in Peru, South America!!!Can anybody explain this at all?Thanks Barry

I have finally found the limit for the Voodoo 5. I have been happy so far with the superior anti aliasing capability of this card and it has given me nice frame rates with just about anything you can think of as far as add-ons go. Recently I hit the wall though with the NAMC YS-11 and now the 421 is killing it. Time to break down and get A GF4 4600! It seems that the 1024X32 bit textures are taking thier toll. The scenery(terrain) and also the aircraft textures just can't keep up and blur and smudge pretty badly. All my other games..IL-2, F4,CFS2 F-18 run very well. Its a shame as everything else looks really nice with this card, but I knew it would have to go soon. I hav…

I have been looking for over an hour and now I'm going to have to tuck my tail between my legs and ask for help. This is made worse being I'm a CFI. Where is the ADF in the 421? I have been having intermittent problems with my video card lately. I have a Leadtek Visiontek GForce 2 GTS-Pro 64mg card. There seems to be a conflict with XP. I have had the card for about 18 months now, and it worked fine under ME. However, since installing XP several months ago, ocasion, the card screws up. First the screen goes blank, then a really nice checkerboard of colors comes up. Only a hard re-boot can get me going again. Is this problem usually driver related or is it a sign of a piece of hardware about to call it a day. I am currently using the 2183 version from the Leadtek site (2k/XP version). I have also tried the 20204 and 20103 versions as well. …

I had to reinstall FS2k2 a while back and just reinstalled one of Barry Blaisdell's Twin Otters. I can no longer tune the nav radio and can only autotune the comm radio. :( Does anyone know how to fix this. I'm using propnl22.Thanks, Adam

On the Jepp charts I have, there are three airports in the Russian far east .. Petropavlosk - UHPP, Magadan - UHMM and Anadyr -UHMA (and I am sure there are more, I have not looked) with runways over 10000' and ILS facilities, and ILS approaches. Flight planner in MSFS 2002 does not show an ILS for any of these airports. That seems crazy to me since these airports would be enroute alternates on the route from Anchorage to Seoul, Bejing and Tokyo .. but the airport info for each in MSFS indicates no ILS.1. does anyone have a fix for this situation (i.e. that adds the correct facilities to these airports)2. given the frequencies, ILS name, inbound course, does anyone kn…

I know I must have missed this somewhere, but can anyone tell me how to tune NAV1 on the panel. I can see NAV2 and COM2 on one of the displays, but for some reason I can't see where or how to change NAV1! Also, for some reason my display does not show the strobes blinking when I switch them on. I am getting about 10fps average with all slides max and higher with all slides to the left. I have never had any problems with framerates before. I have all payware airplanes like the DF737, 767PIC, PSSA320,FDS Cheyenne, and many more. The red graphs shows the disk cache being used is steady at 17.5MB.As SCSI systems use more intellegent controllers that offload some of the CPU's involvement during data transfers, it stands to reason that one could be better off in terms of low level stuttering you sometimes get with FS, particularly with lower end machines where every cycle in the CPU is needed for processing the sim let alone moving data off the drive. Then get rid of this stupid feature!!!!!!Let's face it, how many times have you used System Resore? Isn't it easier to just uninstall programs/drivers than having your comp suck your memory in order to have a restore point per day???Well, if click my PC, Properties and the System Restore, you can set the amount of memory you want Windows to use. My recommendation: LOWEST!!!!!That feature takes up to 3 GIGABYTES of your disk space (depending on the total memory it has). Which means LOTS of planes for FS :(So get rid of it!!!Also, you can turn disable the service that runs in the bacground in WinXP (System Resotre Service)This will also free up some RAM, and give you more F…
