Hi, I have set up my CH Flightsim Yoke USB to control the King air. This is set to control the reverse features etc. No problems. If I fly my C182RG, the THROTTLE idles too fast.Isn't there a way to keep fsuipc from controlling the C182?I hope I have stated my question clearly enough. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to read and respond to this post.Jim Alcorn

I recently installed the FS2002 Antarctic Scenery by Ted Kessel and James Keir. It's really good to have the extra continent... BUT...As I flew closer and closer to the pole, I noticed that my flight was becoming more and more distorted... So I slewed my DH6 so that it was right over the pole... and when I turned it off, I was literally flying sideways at what looked like mach3!!! LOL.Has anyone else seen this, or is it my installation of FS2002 ????It's definitely not a problem with Ted and James's scenery... I believe that its a FS2002 problem. Can anyone shed some light on this?Cheers,Simon.

:-jumpy It's June 10th folks, and you know what that means: Throroughbred is official! AMD has announced the Throroughbred core Athlon XP CPU today (specifically the 2200+ model). The Tbred core brings a die shrink and some core design-optimization (rearranged layout w/L2 cache being moved and fewer transistors used) to the Athlon XP line of CPUs. For more info on the Tbred, visit amdmb.com, amdzone.com, hothardware.com, tech-report.com, or athlonxp.com. Other major hardware sites are sure to follow with reviews very shortly. Max Cowgill

My local Office Depot has the Pro version for 45 bucks. I'm going to pick it up. (Larry, don't faint.) I may be the last holdout who has NEVER used any version of MSFS, but for $45 I really can't pass it up. And besides I want to try out Geof's Debonair.Wish me luck.-Lindy :-spacecraft

I'm planning to build a new PC from the following components:ATX Midi Lownoise 300WATTDVD ROM 16x512MB DDRAM PC2700 333MHzHDD 40GB 7200 rpm IDE ATA 100 + CoolerMSI 645 Ultra SIS P4 DDR S478Intel P4 2.2GHz socket 478MSI Geforce4 Ti4400 VTD 128MBDoes someone has good or bad experiences with some of these components or maybe has some other suggestions for my PC? And is it worth the money to buy a GF4 Ti4600 instead of a Ti4400, or is the difference to small in FS2k2?And what framerates can I expect in FS2k2 with these components under W2K prof with all sliders maximized? Thanks for all replies!Redmar

I have been working on and getting some great help and support from FSD member Roger Dial with the skins on the F1 421C. I am using a Voodoo 5 and I know its long in the tooth, but Im squeezing the last bit of life out of it I guess until I upgrade to GF4 very soon. I have had some problems with the large textures on the NAMC YS-11 and now the 421. What was happening was the textures for the Aircraft were taking very long to load and sometimes not at all. Also the terrain would remain furiously blurry making it a not enjoyable experience. I tried a few things on my own but nothing worked very well. What has done the trick is the use of imagetool to make the large 32 bit …

On May 27th, this site recommended using Download Accelerator Plus... "The AVSIM Library, as most modern ones do, offers resumable downloads. If you are on a dialup modem, nothing can be more frustrating than downloading a huge file and having to start all over because of a dropped connection, or timing out with the server. The best program in our opinion to put this issue to rest is Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) by Speedbit.Com. Better yet, it is spyware free!"Well, guess what? According to AD-Aware, which was ironically also suggested as a download, it found a whopping 55 instances of Spyware on my machine, after installing DAP."Spyware is a way of life it seems. Many…

Sorry, but this paying for "free" stuff is getting out of hand. You can never get thru so I guess you have to pay to download anything anymore. Is there another place I can find quality d/loads. I'm looking for that B-29 Enola Gay that was recently released and have'nt found it here at AVSIM.Simviation appears to be behind the times as well.

Hi All,I spent half my day testing out the new CF-18/A. The other half was spent setting up my first web page. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that the sole reason for doing this was to have my first signature banner (hopefully it worked). I hope you all approve of my new wardrobe (and again, I hope I'm not going to turn out to be the Emperor). BTW-if you want to see more of Dean Reimer's new CF-18/A Hornet, check out my new web site (shameless plug). For those of you that want this new jet, go here:http://www.aerialfoundry.com/main.htm

The terrain is remarkable as well but those clouds had me mesmerized! I listened and took pictures while Tucker talked with Andy, Chunx and Pete. No matter how good or bad CFS3 turns out to be, I am desperate to see the game on my machine just so I can fly through the clouds. I am telling you they are jaw …

Has anyone succeeded in assigning a key stroke to toggle autocoord on and off without having to go to the main fs menu? In FS2k I remember Chuck Dome had a gauge that you could add to the panel but it would be great to be able to switch autocoord on and off via the key board in flight.Paul Gardner
