Captains, I'm looking for a set of "bushy" interiors for my Beaver - I miss those greasy fingerprints on the panel, some dirt on the floor, and that winking pinup lady next to the radio stack, you know... I checked with Avsim Library but most of them are exterior textures. Any clue? Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I am still learning the forum layout. Hello all, I am just about completed with my FSX PC and my first sim pit. I have many software and add-on questions answered, though I am still not sure what to do about ATC and Traffic. I know it has probably been beat to death, but nothing I read sways me in a direction. I try to fly as realistically as I know how, and my aviation knowledge is only basic. I kind of know what SIDs and STARs are and that is about my large aircraft ATC/Navigation knowledge. I am trying to install a new copy of FSX for my daughter. Each time it starts I am prompted to activate, and when I enter the code I get an activation error. Is this a known issue? Cheers! Luke

I got a message essentially saying this when I plugged in my joystick, and reinstalled drivers, is this a sign that I may need a new joystick, or just a glitch in the system? I haven't really plugged it in but once in the past month or so.

I just picked up the Carenado Commander on their Christmas sale, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a GPS installed in the panel. There is a "Customizable panel" option, which removes the upper radio.. so far so good. But then, a filler panel appears which I have not found a way to replace. If anyone has successfully done this, please contact me! I've already checked the Carenado forum.. Thanks!

Bonjour, I wonder if it would not be possible to have an indicator on the "OPUSFSI client live weather control window" telling that the weather update is in progress (like on the server), and another one telling if the weather update is enable or disable. May be it is difficult to implement. Cheers Claude

Would Prestwick be a good first introduction to Gary's work? My typical routes have been concentrated in the US and Canada, but with OpenLC EU and FT Copenhagen, I will be heading to Europe quite often this month and would like to set myself up with a few good bases. I'm planning on getting FT Vienna, Aerosoft Bergen, and Vidan Sonderborg. I'd like to add a good UK airfield to the mix. EGSS is my favorite London area airport (or should I say aerodrome but the uk2000 version is rather old and due for an update. I'm contemplating a flight from UUEE (Moscow Sheremetyevo) to PANC (Anchorage). A straight-line route would take you very close to the North Pole. Perhaps too close. I always remember a flight I did in Concorde in FS9 where I just flew sideways at Mach 2 presumably orbiting the Pole. I know FSX has a round world - mostly - so I'm curious how close I can get.

Does anyone else's AI traffic not taxi to the threshold of Runway 27 properly. Mine cut across the grass to taxi to the loop around taxiway. I've been playing around with this all afternoon and unless the AFCAD is faulty (the latest from the UK2000 website) then I have no idea why they keep doing this.... The AFCAD looks fine, checked in ADE and I have no other EGLC afcads. They follow all the other taxiways fine but as soon as they get to the hold of runway 27 where they have to taxi along the runway to get to the loop, just before they get to the where they have to taxi along the runway, they turn onto the grass and cut diagonally along it, getting back onto the ru…

So in case of a even FL like FL330, i make the average between 320 and 340 for the wind speed direction and temperature, for the different waypoints. After that I enter the figures in the FMC. Is it the right procedure ? If yes, could it be possible to have in a future version the even FL. 2 I also use PFPX and as there is no import from the OPUS weather other than through the GRID data, there is always difference in figures. I recently purchased Madeira from aerosoft but I can not use the airport because it is sitting way too low. My plane seems to be sitting on a plateau that is several hundred feet high. I have FS Genesis world mesh installed, could that be the culprit? If so, which files do I need to delete.

Currently using REX Essentials and REX4 Texture Direct for the texture side of things. REX Ess. is just for the weather engine. Trying to figure out if I should wait for the REX4 weather engine to drop and reviews on it or should I check out ASN or Opus? I don't have the PMDG 777.......yet.........so at least for now I don't care about WX radar integration with ASN, and I've always heard good things about Opus's weather rendering. Just really not sure which way to go. I mostly want good weather rendering. All the other stuff (cameras, WX radars, etc.) is just extra goodies I may or may not use. Thoughts?

I've had two engine failures in the past month, and I mean totally out of the blue failures, I've never touched the actual failure system in FSX. The first was in a Piper Archer, climbing past 1000' and the engine cut to idle, I played with the throttle and mixture, but it remained at idle, I had to circle for a field to land in as I lost airspeed. And survived.. The second failure was in a BA-2 Islander taking off from Saba (!). I was on full throttle, 10 degree flaps fully revved up when the engine cut suddenely halfway down the runway. I slammed on the brakes and didn't go into the ocean! They were one-off's, no idea why, but thoroughly enjoyed them both..…

I just downloaded Project Tupolev's Tu-154, but I've been trying to find some information on it with little avail. Their website says that the FSX version is still a beta version, but I couldn't find any information on what has been left out of this beta version. For instance, the radios in the VC don't seem to work, and there appears to be very little English documentation. Does anybody know how much of the beta 3 version is operational and if there's a good tutorial for the 154?Thanks,boeing247
