Well folks,....this has been one of the roughest rides to download and install a piece of software, I have ever downloaded and installed. It is done. It was a rocky road...corrupt downloads, bad installs...all of it. But...I am now past that, and have FINALLY a certified install of Pilot's Global Mesh FSX edition. Verdict....after I actually got the elevation/mesh files to install properly in both FSX and P3D? It will blow you away! The places familiar that I enjoy flying to, and from....the islands of the Caribbean, for one...have been totally and amazingly transformed. They are absolutely detailed, from the coast, into the mountain ranges..and not ANYWHER…

Hello, For the life of me I cannot figure out why when I fly an ILS or GPS heading while on autopilot, my aircraft will not fly the heading or ILS approach heading. In other words, I was flying into an airport where I would shoot an ILS approach, however the aircraft flew to the left of the intended runway and wasn't even close to the approach runway. This has become frustrating since I cannot effectively fly an approach or get my GPS to take me directly to the waypoint I put in. Please lend some advice and fix for this. Thanks so much!

What You Get I am comparing the 737-200s with the Sperry 77 (old school) autopilot. The Milviz has the Sperry 177 and the "Universal" FMS, too. I don't use it (or haven't yet) so just be aware that the Milviz has options for retrofitting your 737 with more modern avionics, while the Captain Sim 737 is strictly old school. Hi Folks: As a result of a recent power failure, several files on my hard drive were damaged. One of these was an FSX texture file. It is Scenery\World\texture\007B2HW3. I have both installation discs of FSX Deluxe. Does anyone know where on these discs this might be located? It would be nice if I could extract it and replace it without having to repair or re-install FSX. - Roger

Hi All, Greetings from Down Under. Well this is a recent problem for me. I'm using a freeware 777 package that was working perfectly fine until recently, when I loaded up a flight and found that I can't see through the Virtual Cockpit anymore. As it loads up you can see through it but once everything loads fully then this happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! Randy

Hi folks, I am looking for some advice please from FS Water users. I like to run with BP at 0 which causes artifacts even on my 770 4gb! So I crank up the water to high..problem solved..however I realy hate the cloud reflections in the sea...so un realistic...they should be shadows.... So I was thinking of using the FS Water to get rid of these reflections...just wanted to know if that would work and is there any impact on the FPS?.. Many thanks

Hi, during an event flight with my friends, i've notice much difference between ours winds on route. So, in your opinion, which one is the best weather engine for FSX? Active Sky Next, Opus, FS Global Real Weather? I always used Opus but from yesterday I'm trying ASN. It looks more heavy for framerate... It is true or only an impression? The textures are always the same..

Where do I go to get help with downloading and unzipping and installing FS Global.???? When I downloaded FS Global (the second zip file ie PILOTsFSG2010FTX.z01) using Internet Download Manager, it shows up in the file I downloaded with a 'page' icon vs. the little 'vice' icon normal for zip files. Does this mean it did not download properly? I cannot find meaningful download instructions other than using a "hash generator" to generate a MD5 value based on a string. What string? I can't see any direct comparison threads between these two products, apologies if I've missed it. For an average user like myself, is there much to choose between the two? My needs are quite simple, just to either depict real world weather or custom weather of my choice into the sim in the most realistic manner possible. Weather engines are not something I've had much experience of so would appreciate any insights. Many thanks

Does anyone else's AI traffic not taxi to the threshold of Runway 27 properly. Mine cut across the grass to taxi to the loop around taxiway. I've been playing around with this all afternoon and unless the AFCAD is faulty (the latest from the UK2000 website) then I have no idea why they keep doing this.... The AFCAD looks fine, checked in ADE and I have no other EGLC afcads. They follow all the other taxiways fine but as soon as they get to the hold of runway 27 where they have to taxi along the runway to get to the loop, just before they get to the where they have to taxi along the runway, they turn onto the grass and cut diagonally along it, getting back onto the ru…

Bonjour, I have saved a current weather as static theme, but I cannot find a way to load it. When the live weather is enable, of course all the static weather themes facilities are disabled, but when I disable the engine, the weather button is dimmed, and it is not possible to access the static themes, and particularly the user specified one. Hello! So with the planned release of FSX on Steam, there has been a stir in the community. Personally I think it's a good thing in the sense that it will hopefully bring in new people. But I am afraid the holders of the re-distribution license will in-correctly advertise it. I see all of us as a big family, we all came from similar places, and most of us have the same destination. But if we have people coming in looking for 'hacks', 'god mode', and 'cheat modes', it might ruin the flow that we have.
