So, after communicating with a few people, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to convert FS9 flightplans to FSX format. I know they are different but I don't know exactly how. I remember that it wasn't good to just use them directly and that modifications needed to be made. But, how those modifications get done is what I'm not sure about. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Also, what is the disadvantage of using the same AI aircraft? I know there have been a few AI models supposedly made specifically made for FSX which means there must be a reason for that. I just don't know if it's worth trying to redo everything. Hi i'm about to get some new saitek pedals. An very curious to learn how to perform a crosswind landing using saitek rudder pedals. If anyone knows the steps how to perform a crosswind landing please share?

Oh dear! I recently installed FSX for the first time, and after setting bufferpools=0 consistently achieved 30fps locked to half refresh rate. Then the Acceleration pack arrived so I installed it straight away. Guess what? My fps halved! I double checked I didn't have DX10 enabled, then I ran fs9 on the same pc which still sat at a solid 30fps. So I uninstalled Acceleration, and the FSX fps stayed at half what it had been prior to installation. I then restored the system to pre-Acceleration status, and lo and behold - solid 30fps once more. I really want to use Acceleration. Any ideas anyone?

I've been a loyal user of FS2004 for many years, but since addon companies have begun to drop support for the older sim, I bit the bullet and upgraded computers so that I can run FSX. I love it! One thing is bothering me though. There are tons of awesome cameras available from the dropdown menu at the top of the screen, but they seem to by default open into those awful little window boxes. How does one add a view from the dropdown list, say a tailcone view, to the regular full-screen view list (i.e. spot, tower view, etc.) Thanks a lot, and happy simming! Noah

Hello, I own 3 computers, which all have had fsx installed on them. One is a laptop, which doesn't run fsx too well. Recently, I bought the third one, and attempted to install fsx on it. The installing of fsx with the product code went fine without any issues. But when I attempted to activate Acceleration, I put in my product key, and it said that I had exceeded the number of activations. I went to the laptop and uninstalled acceleration on it, leaving just plain old FSX on the computer. Now, I only had fsx on 2 computers - this new one, and my main setup. Still, activation for acceleration did not proceed. Is there something I am doing wrong? Thanks!!!

I purchased the A2A 180 and I must say that it is very realistic and I love to fly it. My question is the vision out the front wind screen, it appears not as clear as the side wind screens? I flew it last night and could not even see the runway lights or how to taxi? Side screen vision was crystal clear. Is this normal? Am I missing something? Taxing, I could not see the blue RW markers at all, just the dim landing light out the front windscreen, however, after I took off the front vision cleared up until I started to land then as I set up for final and got to about 1000 ft. Hello, last week I did a flight with my friend in shared cockpit. Everything worked great and it was just awesome. Today we wanted to do some flights again, but shared cockpit is not working anymore. We were both in Oslo at the same gate in singleplayer. He was the Pilot Flying and I was the PNF. We selected "start multicrew session as PNF/PF" at the same time. Thereafter my simulator loaded for a long time and we were not able to connect to each other. I have absolutely no clue what is different to last time and I hope you can help me. Ok I've installed but nothing showing in FSX. I have 2 folders in C:/ opus fsi at 45Mb and opus software at 27.6Mb. Is this correct? Please help.. Nothing in all programs and no desktop shortcut either.

Hi all when I start my helicopter, the blades just seem spool up to full rotation when I atcivate the fuel switch. Is there anyway with the default helicopters to start so the blades turn slowly at first and then build up to full rotation. Cheers Rhys

:smile: Hi All, I would like to superimpose FSX aircraft on 'actual' photographs. For this I need FSX to display only the aircraft on a white or transparent background. Hey there, I just have a small problem with my FSX scenery. Where there should be a runway is only land, all the water disappeared in the sim. Having just watched worst place (best) place to be a pilot keen to now explore this area, can anyone recommend a good home base to use in Air Hauler that will give me spectacular mountain views and tricky landings ? Using perhaps my A2A 172 or Cherokee? Or would my Realair Duke or Legacy or Bn2 islander be a better choice of plane? Or the twin Otter?
