hi, my names Aaron, and for some reason when i switch my scenery back to default from Obix PNW my scenery at pdx is all messed up, i looks like there are sand dunes all over the airport.. this dose not happen at any other airport. (i have screen shots but i don't know how to put them in the post)

I've got my system tuned with water set to low 2.x. I'd like to explore moving it up to mid to get the clouds reflected but before doing it I'm trying to find out if water settings stress the cpu or the gpu. My 780 has plenty of gpu usage headroom even in dense ORBX regions with 2048 clouds but my other settings are pushing my 4790K @ 4.4 to the max in dense city/urban areas in the ORBX regions and even those same kinds of areas (KLAX, New York city, etc.) in Global + Vector especially when using 3rd party planes like the NGX. edit: in case it matters, I'm running in DX10 mode with the fixer.

In preparing my Windows 7/64 system for the UTX v. 2 upgrade, I first removed the UTX v.1 and attempted to remove SceneryTech Landclass NorthAmerica using the Windows 7 program uninstaller. My system hung up during the uninstall of the Landclass scenery, with the progress bar stopping at the halfway point, and then 10 minutes of the spinning ball. I then tried to cancel the uninstall, and this too caused the system to hang. As a last resort, I used Windows Task Manager to shut down the uninstall of the Landclass. The upgrade to UTX v.2 went fine, and afterwards, there is no listing of SceneryTech in my scenery library, and no listing of the program among the applicati…

Since a re-install of FSX, I can't see any AI aircraft despite the fact that I put the slider in the configmenu of FSX to 50-100%. Only on ORBX payware airpotrs I find the AI aircraft. What am I doiing wrong?

Hi, an avid user of FSX but really long to find a package (freeware or payware) of a classic aircraft...the type of RFP B747-200 where systems are programmed in much detail... which ones do you use and which do you recommend? tks emann

I converted an ATR72-200 from AI to flyable by adding custom panel and sounds to it. I couldn't find the livery anywhere else so I had to use the AI model I had installed. The problem is, whenever I go over 60 kts, the airplane starts pulsing. The gauges, control surfaces, etc. The aircraft usually cannot rotate since it cannot gain speed after around 70 kts. Is this because this is an AI aircraft? Are the aircraft.cfg files different for AI aircraft? It's odd because before adding the panel and sound, the airplane flew great.. All I had was an empty panel and sound folder for testing. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I dont know where to put this so im sorry if it is under the wrong category. I am learning International flights. I am in PFPX and my route was from EGLL to KTPA but it says ETOPS segment is outside covered area so I can't compute the flight. How do I set this up. Is there anyway around it until I figure it out? I was in a rush last night but couldn't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi all! I just Boght EzDok for FSX and i did all the installation and put the serial in etc etc. Then i configured all my planes in the EZCA Config and i started FSX. When i then load an aircraft at an airport and laucnhed the "Addo-ons" tab theres no EzDok in there. I´ve just purchased the Virtualcol Saab 340 and here´s a strange problem: After take off with condition lever set to MAX the throttle slowly moves from take off power to idle at approx. 1000 feet. Nothing helps - not even hitting F4 or F3 constantly. It´rs not a problem related to the electric circuit: Battery and lights are on all the way...Any help is much appreciated - thanks an advance...

hi stephen Is there a way to use panning sequence when airborne, because when i try to use this feature on ground it works, but when the aircraft is airborne the panning sequence is jammed. Is there something i'm doing wrong? Thx in advance

Although it costs $50...I have to admit that I'm really enjoying the A2A Simulations Skylane 182. It's beautifully rendered, has superb sound, and handles like a dream. Both exterior and interior surfaces have realistic details, and I love looking out over the VC at the hood of the plane..Just under that hood is a Lycoming engine (made in Williamsport, Pa...I might add), and the power is so very welcome in a plane like this. The turning of the 3 prop propeller really sounds excellent from both inside and expecially outside. I now am told after 30 minutes of flying that the ' Demo Time' has expired. Then I'm shut down. I've never seen this before in a long time Simming. What is this ? Can I stop it. ? :( CJ

I'm using the 2D view with my new cockpit build and recently (perhaps around the same time I switched to DX10, I'm not sure) every time I look left or right with the hat switch I get a black screen for up to 5 seconds before the image renders. This is terrifying when on the base leg and you need to turn onto finals. Any ideas? I've reverted to my dx9 config but left dx10 enabled in the sim, no effect. I cut down textures to 512, but no effect. I cut fibre frame rate from .45 down to .22 but no effect. I did try dx9, but the sim didn't like it, locked into a black screen and ctd'd so I auickly switched back to dx10!!! My current fsx.cfg (the important bits,…

Not sure what's going on, but full throttle (using both Seitek throttle quad and keyboard) only gets me about 2200rpm on the ground (should be closer to 2600, no?). FSX sp2 accelFTXGEXUTXREXA few other a/c addons Any thoughts? Thx!

Is there a document and/or list of variables for the fsx.cfg file. I have the one for the aircraft.cfg file, but have not been able to locate one for fsx.cfg. Any help would be appreciated.Bill

I believe this beep comes when there is Opus is not able to connect to TrackIR. How to disable it? The point is that I can "see" that TrackIR is not working, I don't need this constant beep sound to tell me. In some cases I have just closed TrackIR as I don't want to use it temporarily.
