Some of you guys/gals out there might remember Bertil Gulmar and his SFS project! And as you also might remember those charts were some of the best charts ever!Sadly there were some issues that came between Bertil and SFS and SFS choose to shut him down...Well I talked to SFS this morning and they said that an all sim website was well underway!! This means costumer service, special shopping sections, special deals and very very unique products!SFS creates some of the best charts for real world aeronautical navigation, and they will now turn their work into PDF for sale! The management and sales department said that almost all products found for real use will be available fo…

Hi all,I was flying last night, and finaly noticed that my landings wern't just as good as they usually were . . . now mind you, I've done this for a long time, both in real life and sim's, and it was as if I had lost the ole hand-eye-corid, or something. For some reason, rh banks were really terrible. After thinking about it for awhile, I decided to dig into the yoke and have a look see. This is a professional AETI yoke, very well made, with about 1500 hours of use on it, and like everything else in this world, I guess it required a bit of help. I noticed that a few allen head screws needed tightening, and readjustment on the reostate, (moved it to a slightly different …

Well, I haven't had the opportunity just yet to fly her...or even get intimate with her; however, I have on burning question to ask. It's been a full TWO days since this beauty has been uploaded, and still no repaints! What's going on?! Gimme paint schemes!! :-lolBTW, the above was done in jest. What I really want to say is "thank you" to Oleksiy for his tremendous efforts. I'm still shaking myself tyring to figure out how this is freeware. Some time ago I decided to disable my levers on my CH Yoke because I use my SaitekX36 for throttle settings. Well since the Dash-8 has come out I want to use two of the 3 levers for prop and mixture. I went ahead and reassigned the the two levers to Prop 1 and Mixture 1 in my control menu. They don't seem to work in the Dash-8. How do I set it up so if I'm flying a 2 engine aircraft the levers will operate both engines. I think it has something to do with FSUIPC. Any help in resetting these levers would be grateful.Dan

I think I wet my pants.:-shyThere is ONLY ONE WAY to run this one.Turn the volume WAY UP and let that puppy roll.I have flown third a number of times in the Dash-8 and I can honestly say that Oleskiy has caught the real feel of this model. The sounds, the vibrations, It just blew me away. There is no just sitting back and going on this model. You are going to have to learn how to fly a Dash-8 to get it off the ground. If this sucker does not win a whole bunch of awards then I just don't know.My gawd I have chills up my spine.:-beerchughttp://members.shaw.ca/dan_cyxc/sigcard.jpg

I use FSUIPC (the latest version) with a full throttle quadrant to control prop, throttle, and mixture. It works well with every plane except the Dash 8. For some reason, the throttle jumps around, never going to idle. It is like it is fighting the joystick inputs for some reason. The other levers don't seem to move at all. Am I the only one having these problems? ThanksDavid

Since I can't post an actual poll on here I will have to ask that you post your comments and system info on this post. Basically what I want to do is to see which system, if any, crashes more often...AMD or INTEL.If your FS crashes on you, locks up on you, restarts your computer, etc., more than 1 out of 5 flights, then please post your info. Please include your system's cpu type, video card, system ram, cpu temp when your using the sim, and if your overclocking or not. Thanks..---------------CPU:Video:RAM:TEMP:O/C:Comments:--------------Mine...CPU: AMD 1900+Video: Ti4600RAM: 512MBTEMP: 60cO/C: Not overclockingComment: Seems to crash more when my temps go above 58c[br][br…

FS2002: I'm having trouble passing the Check Ride test. I enter the holding pattern as instructed at Calverton VOR at 8000' and I go around and around and around. I don't get any further instructions from the CFI. Per her instruction; "fly 090 to Calverton VOR, right turn, you can enter the hold by flying 060 for one minute then intercept the VOR then turn right to intercept the radial" That's the last I hear of her! Is it possible and/or practical to run the ambient sounds from FS (engine, air, switchwes, etc.) through speakers while at the same time run the radio sounds (ATC, DME, etc.) through headphones?Just a thought...I'm not too knowledgable about soundcards and how FS does sound, so maybe the community could give me their thoughts.http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/Us...cdf6182b41d.jpg Great Lakes Express VA - The Midwest's regional and feeder airlinehttp://www.voyagerairlines.com/gle/index.html

I read the docs, and have the latest FSUIP, but after installing the new Dash 8, I can't get gauges to show, and I can't get the Dash 8 to rotate off the tarmac. What's up? What am I missing? Should it be this difficult or is there something simple that I've overlooked. Please help. I'd like to enjoy what all of you who were successful with this plane are enjoying. Stan

To all FS Nordic visitors,This is a NOTAM concercing of the status of FS Nordic (www.fsnordic.net). We have experienced some server problems during the last two weeks which we have been unable to fix so far.Firstly, I'd like to make clear that FS Nordic is NOT shutting down. We will resume normal operations as soon as the server is accessible again. The reason for this techical problem is a name server config change made at the server our site is. For some reason the change was not informed to us and the name server we were using was set offline - and thus FSN was "lost" from the internet as no other server could find it. So, the server and site is actually running but the…

When I first heard my networking people talk about CAT 6 cables I really didn't think too much about it. I looked into it and the cables were quite expensive. Well that was one year ago, and while the cables are still sold at a premium price, they are a bit more cost effective today. So I thought that I would give it a try. I really didn't expect too much. I mean come on, can a cable make that much of a difference? I know that CAT 6 cable can support up to one gigabit connections, but my little cable modem only outputs 10T. Would it be overkill? So I went ahead and purchased two 7ft. CAT6 550mHz patch cables. One from my modem to my router and the other from my computer t…

dear friends, although FS2002 is well introduced in the FS simmers world, I still prefer to fly with FS2000 instead. The reason of this choice is mainly due to some missing airports in Italy, and the RAM of my computer (128MB) that is not sufficient, in my opinion, to obtain straight flight quality with FS2002.Since I installed an AMD Athlon 1700 , FS2000 hangs at least once each day..the screen freeze with the sound still roraring..I would like to receive from you a suggestion to resolve this trouble...may be the RAM is not sufficient to support the troublesome FS2000 with a processor of such good characteristics?thanx!kikko

Hello, I was curious if anyone knows how to control FS from an outside source, (like a GPS reciever) as 747IPC/Broker/Visual744 does. Specifically, I was curious if I could hook a GPS reciever to the serial port of my laptop and input the Lat/Lon/Alt/Hdg and have it display in the FS world where I am. Thanks!-drew-

Hi,I recently installed Dreamfleet's wonderful C-172.The aircraft was originally designed for FS2000 but seems to be working pretty good in FS2002.Still, there are a few annoying bugs that I would love to remove in order to get full satisfaction.1. The tachometer (RPM gauge) doesn't indicate accurate values. At half throttle, the gauge still shows 2100 RPM.2. There are beams (look like 3D wing struts) showing in the side views and in the 3D view.3. The carb heat doesn't respond.4. The trim wheel is constantly running up and down (without affecting the pitch trim setting). If anybody knows how to remedy to these problems, I'm sure that many simmers would be extremely g…

Hello,I don't understand why it happened:I've been used Toni Agramont's Spain scenery since many days (every thing was OK), when last day after FS2K2 crashed as I was in Barcelona airport, all my beautiful textures had disapeared ! Since there is only big and horrible green and brown square texture ! :'( :'(I desactivated this scenery and it changed nothing. This trouble only seems to occure in north-east spain area (Catalunia).Thank you for your help.Thierry

I have been wondering about this....you know those little red text markers that you can use for AI aircraft flying around you to help you to identify their tail numbers and distance? Is there a way just to have them display their distance? I don't care about the tail numbers, but I like to be able to see how far they are away from me. Just wondering.[br][br][div align=center][br][link:members.cox.net/fstimes/wetimage.html]Click Here For Weather Image of the Day!
