Can someone please explain to me what effect enabling/disabling the "Emulate Fog Table" option in Display Settings has on FS?Should it be on like default or off?thx!- Gideon

Could someone please explain the entries in the [Radios] section of the aircraft.cfg or suggest a web site that provides some help? I noticed that not all [Radios} section are the same and some aircraft.cfg files don't appear to have a [Radios] section! Hello everybody,until last week my PIC767 was working prefectly. Than I have notice small problem with main panel, and thus decided to un-install and re-install PIC. However the problem remainded. Then I have decided to un-install and re-install my FS2000. That is where the problem arose. I can not pass 81% of instalation. It states that some "E:scenedb...." can not be instaled and that I should check the CD. I cleaned CD and still nothing is working. I can not get over 81 %. I have done this few times before, and never get this problem. Now I am lost. Please, if anybody can help me solve me the problem. With the best regards,Andrej Lippay

The default setting for this driver is pointsampling instead of bilinear trilinear filtering. You can easily check that. The standard reg key is:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetServicesClassDisplay0000NVidiaDirect3DD3D_74095213Value for all Nvidia drivers was:"01 00 00 00" (1)Now suddenly the new value is:"00 00 00 00" (0) And that means point sampling. And that is from the old ages.Setting 1 however is bilinear/trilinear filtering and not AF 2 etc.As pointsampling has almost no performance gain over bilinear/trilinear this can be considered a bug more than cheating.But do not be fooled here. Hi All,I was able to get the bird airborne and without the alarm buzzer goin off.I have attempted two test flights. Both KDFW-KSGF via Tex7.MLC J105 SGF for the ILS to rwy 2.On the first flight, about halfway between MLC and RZC my ap went nuts. It would not stay locked onto RZC and when in heading select mode would turn the opposite way of the bug. On small <20 degree changes of the bug the plane would go into a roll in the opposite direction.I installed FSUIPC 2.891All went well until I just about leveled at 3000 for ILS intercept. G'Day!After much stress, headache, and pulling of hair, I believe I have finally cured the problem of the erratic duck behavour that those using FFB joysticks have experienced. HelloHave a look at the 3 screenshots of my FSUIPC wind & visibilty settings & FS Meteo settings, and another shot I'll explain in a minute.My main is clouds changing from overcast to few or scattered in short spaces of time.Also look at the last pic, PIC on downwind leg 27L at EGLL, at the time the snap was taken the clouds were reportedly overcast at 3500ft, so why am I getting CAVOK conditions? As you can see from my FS Meteo settings - the destination lock distance is 60nm and I was at the most 20nm away. Hello Simmers!I have a question since many of you are "techies" in addition to being sim pilots.I have been running Windows XP Pro for several months now and have been very happy with this O.S.My hard disks are currently set up under the FAT 32 file system. I am thinking about converting them to the NTFS file system, but before I do this, I would like to get your opinions on making the change.I have heard that the hard disk access time is much better with the NTFS setup, but will I have problems running software that was written for windows 95/98 or DOS under this file system?Also, will I notice a performance increase with FS2K2 under the NTFS.Finally, Should I just conve…

i heard it on the news last night on CBS 2 @ 11PM, and Newark Intl has recieved its new name in memory of 9/11.Proud to announce NEWARK LIBERTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT! In memories of the victims of WTC, Pentagon, and all the flights that were highjacked that morning.there was also a show about 63 babies who never saw their fathers because they were born after 9/11. 3 of them had the same birthday as their fathers, and sad to say.......(cry sniffles, sniffle, cry) most of those fathers did know they were dads, because their children were born after Tuesday September 11th, 2002. A day will shall certainly not forget in our futures.

Last week I posted a question - FS2002 hanging / re booting. Sometimes after 1 minute, other times after 2 hours. AMD 2000XP, SOYO board. Several people suggested ideas, one being that 1 gig of RAM was too much. So now I'm only using 500Mb RAM and no hang ups since!Thanks all for your help! (now I have to find something to do with the other 500Mb RAM!)

I think am gonna mad or just completely sad, am more interesting in making FS2002 more realistic than actually flying. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
