This is a little off subject here but I can't load any CD's on either of my CD drives. I have a Toshiba DVD and a Yamaha re-writeable.I can read and write UDF re-writeable CD's on the Yamaha but can't even read any other CD's on either drive. The only thing I have done recently that I know of is to install the latest Augigy SB drivers which installed a Creative Play Center and some sort of disk detector with no help info for either one. I have some FS2002 related CD's I want to load and can't do it. Any help would sure be appreciated.Thanks, Bob.

I have gone thru the startup process 6 times now.I get to click on the 'Select light' and the gauge goes to 19% but when I click above the right condition lever nothing happens the gauge just sits at 19%. When I say nothing happens I mean the engine does not fire up. The condition lever flips up for a second and returns to centre.SO Frustrating!!!Can anyone help me with this problem, as I would really like to get this super bird off the ground????regardsRichard

For any of you who might be using Italy 2000 in FS2k2 (all three of us:-) )An italian FlightSim sight has just posted a patch that eliminates the rough and bouncy taxi ways- in essence they are all hard surfaces now- I was able to fly out of Rome without smashing the plane on the apron! This is the first time I noticed this but I seem to get better FPS in Windows mode then in 3D mode (Fullscreen). Is this normal or do I have something set wrong. I recently installed the NVida 40.41 drivers and they seem ok to me. I run FS2002 and WindowsXP both at 1280x1024 on a GeForce4 TI 4400.

Hi, Couldn't find the answer in the forum search. Am I the only one who gets irritating message boxes that come up for every third party gauge that loads? I just want to disable the warnings and load the darn panel... Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,Bill

I've been away from flightsim for a while not checked on anything for months. Anyways I love dynamic scenery and am just wondering if there is any way of adding aircraft with moving parts as dynamic scenery. It would be great if we could see the flaps and spoilers move just after landing, not to mention the gear going up as the aircraft climbs.I've seen Oliver Pabsts catering trucks and their gradual lift, so it must be possible some how. OK gang, here I find it necessary to mount my soapbox one last time, at least for now. I'm doing it to announce that I have decided to take a vacation from aircraft designing. Hello everyone,Call me stupid but I can't get the replay to work on my FS, shame on me I don't even know how to set it up. I wonder if anyone could teach me how could I 'tape' my approach say from intercepting the localiser all the way till touchdown? I would love to see the replay of my own landing.Thanks!

Hey, I was just reading in my 777 manual how pressurization works. I got the 'jist' of it and all. BUT, how do you 'program' it. do you just enter the Altimeter settings and the systems to the rest(including switiching everything to auto/on, on the overhead panel? I would love to know ASAP!! thank you very much!

Has anybody found a way to kill the sound (apart from turning off the speakers) when you hit "Pause" -- it's a great sound but not when I am trying to think!!! :)Barry

I just bought a GeForce4 Ti4200. It works fine with every game, but with FS2002 there is one problem. When I am in the 2D cockpit (on any plane) the main panel textures seem to slowly corrupt over time. It seems to me it happens as the gauges and dials update, you can watch the panel slowly get worse over time (discolorations and mulitcolored dots everywhere). The view out of the forward window is unaffected (even right above the 2D panel), as is the virtual pit, the 2D side views, and all 3D exterior views. FS2002 is the only game that exhibits any kind of problem whatsoever. I am using the 29.42 detonator drivers.Anyone have any ideas?

This is something that I have always wanted to do with FS2002, but not exactly sure if it is possible. I would like to be able to listen and talk to the controllers on VATSIM through my headset, but listen to the sounds of my plane through the speakers. I know all I have is 1 input port, 1 mic port, and 1 output port, however, is there like a splitter I can buy for the output port? Of course then how would RW know which output to go to? I don't think it is possible, but it is worth asking about. Also, if that is not possible, is there a splitter so I can have two mics... one for me and one for my copilot? Hi folks,One thing about framerates, I have my framerates locked at 25. But however, when I'm flying, my framerate numbers vary from 8 - 25, even when I'm stationary on the ground. Any idea why such a big variation? Since it is able to be at 25, why does it vary to 8? It's too big of a variation?Thanks

When I change a task during flying, f.e. click Squawkbox or FS is reading the Harddisk f.e. wheather change or extracting flaps, FS2002 hangs. The problem is that this is happening pure random. Hi,I have downloaded that great Dash-8 Aircraft a few days ago. I also have been reading this forum daily. My problem is: When I load the aircraft, I don't hear any sound at all! I am not new to FS2002, I have installed the aircraft as described. Any help?

Does anyone who has downloaded the Rans Stinger II by Richard Raine (ric4.zip) have any idea how to make the brakes work.I did check with Richard and he wasn't sure what the problem might be so I thought I'd ask the experts here.I'm not a wiz with the CFG files but this one does seem to have the line necessary to make them work.Yup, other planes are fine.Thanks for any help.Pepe
