Hi there,yesterday, it was all ok.But today, FS2002 tells me something like "file not found" when i try to download real weather.The error occurs if i download realweather from the jeppesen server and if i download it from my laptop (using GetWeather V2.0 update 1 there) and if i download it from my FS2002 computer (using a local installation of GetWeather).GetWeather downloads the weather correct.Can anyone help my (perhaps give me his fs2002.cfg or tell my how i can make further diagnosis)?Should i perhaps look at the network traffic (i do not know how to do that and if there is a program in WinXP that can do this for me).Perhaps there are faults in the registry?Please …

Yes....finally, I feathered it or something after both engines were started, and I heard that UNMISTAKENABLE WHINE and the plane came ALIVE. 2 days and much reading and I finally got some speed and got off the ground. I STILL CAN'T STOP THE INCESSANT ALARM NOISE WHILE ROLLING AND TAKING OFF, AND THE WIERD NOISE WHEN LANDING AND CUTTING THROTTLES. But, wow, what a feeling of reality. This plane is an unmistakenable major move in the direction of what we have all been waiting for.ALL DESIGNERS AND SOFTWARE COMPANIES SHOULD TAKE A LESSON FROM THIS PROJECT. Has anyone else looked at and downloaded the subject file from the Project Magenta website? I read the "news" item from the AVSIM main page and downloaded and installed the file. It creates a folder of some good sound ".wav" files that I would like to use in FS 2k2, but there was no documentation with the download, and I looked on the Project Magenta website for documentation on "how to use". Maybe I am new at using these type files, but can someone explain how I can use these files in FS 2k2?, where do they need to be installed?, what files/folders do I need to edit in FS 2k2?, etc. Thanks, Joe

First of all.....beautiful job!!! Is it normal with this one to have the same sounding effects, (volume, intensity, pitch) as you go from the inside view to an outside view? It seems I get a vaience at first,(when finally started!!! :) ) but after take off it, seems to sound as if you are inside, even with the new "Fly by" addition and spot view.

I have bought a couple of the Lago terramesh sceneries,that i am very pleased with,5 euro per scenery sounds cheap but if one bought eventually all of europe it would add up to a bonny penny.I was wondering how the fscene europe summer edition compared? is there someone that has them both?thanks Don

I have downloaded the checklist for the Dash-8 but have not been able to open it. Does it go into the aircraft file like the rest of the default checklist in FS2002 or are we suppose to print it out in say Word format?Terry

Is it just me or do I already wish I had my older driver back. Just downloaded and auto-installed the new XP driver for my 64mb GeForce4.The problem is at night. Taking off out of Newark with a default 737-400 I get a very striated night sky. I mean, it was visible before, but nothing like now. Also, where the variation in color meets, it chops off the moon (no, its NOT disappearing behind a mountain range at the bottom!). Also, when panning around the aircraft outside a VERY small line of ground clutter remains at the top of the screen. Hello,I need help doing this seemingly easy thing that the rest of you do.Is there a help guide anywhere?Whenever I try and do it I end up making a hash of it and deleting over the aircraft.cfg (?) file so that only one plane exists...and don't even get me started on gauges, sounds etc.Do I just need to download a aircraft skin and model handler?Help. please.

Just finished a great flight on VATSIM in Oleksiy's fantastic new Dash-8. Visibility was very poor and flying the route and STAR manually using the Nav radios and EHSI was a real blast. Sometimes it's nice to be have to rely on charts and manully tuned radios rather than clicking on a 'direct to' option on an FMC. The plane behaved very well throughout and I think I've even finally got the landing about right (at least the runway was where I hoped it would be when I finally broke through the clouds!). I've been messing around with this great new addition and just need clarification on something. I've gone through the manual for the most part and I'm able to get the plane started but I can only go backwards when I try to taxi! I cannot advance the throttle past Flight Idle. Using the '9' key just brings the throttle back into reverse. I've read in some other posts that you need a joystick with throttle control. Am I correct in assuming you cannot use the keyboard to fly this? I do not have a joystick at the moment. Thanks!Eric

I'am having problems getting the jet aircraft, FS2002, to reach the "Cursing" speed as stated in the "Performance Spec." ie. when I call up the Learjet the info spec's says the gruise speed is 464kts or Mach 0.81. The best I can do is 345 IAS or 0.52 Mach. with out getting an "Overspeed" alarm, and an "Overstress crash" if I let it go on at this speed. I'am not sure it the IAS is in knots or M.P.H. but at this point I would not think this would matter. I have this same thing with any other of the hi speed aircraft. Anyone know of a fix (program or othervise)?Thanks AL

Hello,I recently purchased a new leadtek GF4 4400. I did a complete reformat and installed detonater 30.82 drivers.I fired up FS and went to Simflyers KDFW scenery - I was getting 9-19 FPS but even with my old TNT2 32MB card I was getting simlar results. Hi,Could someone explain the bottom of the IAP chart for me? I don't understand the DH section. I thought ILS cat's were I, II, IIIa,bor c but they have them as A, B, C, and D. Also when they write the minimums under the catagory the write somthing like 420/60 403 (400-1 1/4) that is the other bit I don't understand.Thanks

I got quite a lot of planes I've downloaded from the Avsim file library and my question is if there's any way to use them in the flight environment in FS2002. Its quite ridiculous to see a high traffic airport like Paris Charles de Gaulle for example, full of Cessnas!!! Is there a way to enable all my planes to be active during the game?Thanks a lot!Gustavok
