Ok my GeForce4 Ti4400 is a peace of junk! I have had this for quite some time now and all it has given me is problems. When I initially loaded the card, I got the errors that are reoccuring now. The card won't allow windows to load. In safe mode, everything is messed up (see pic). I have no clue what started this error again... the last major thing I loaded on my computer was the America's Army patch. What I did to stop this problem when I first got the card was to reload my GeForce2 (using that now) and then load the GeForce4 again. I have tried that about three times now... and nothing. Something is seriously wrong. I think it might hardware related. I need some compute…

Hi all,I would like to know how to select a floating plane which actually floats when "Create a flight".When I put the selected plane on water, the gear is out, and it is like it thinks it is on a solid ground. Even if I "slew" and retract the gear, the gear comes out when I exit the "slew" mode.???To be able to make the plane float, I have to start the flight from ground and land on water. Then I have to "Save the flight", and start from there. Now, can someone tell me how to "Create a flight" with a sea plane, and actually have the plane floating from scratch. :-hmmmFly safe, :-waveStaffan AhlbergFreeware Flight Grouphttp://hem.passagen.se/primeavi

Hello all,I'm hoping someone can help me out. I've been using FS for years now, recently bought a new 40GB HD and had it installed as the primary drive. My old 30GB HD was left on as a slave drive (E:/). My FS2002 and 767PIC was on the old drive, I'm not a computer expert by any means but I know that I couldn't just copy it to the new drive (did it and it said FS2002 wasn't installed properly) So I tried to reinstall on the new drive (c:/) After several tries I got it to install but recieved the message "Scenery read error! Attempting to open a nonexistent directory c:/programs/microsoft games/etc.etc.... with weird font type for the file. After hitting OK eight times FS …

I dunno if this will help any, just some ideas I had... I'm not a freeware author, but do very much appreciate the work of Mike, Anniette, POSKY, and everybody else who spends even 1 second tinkering with FS and releasing to the flightsim community for free. I've made a few modifications to panels I've downloaded in my spare time, but only for my own use, as they weren't very large changes. So I at least understand the scope of work involved with making more than a cosmetic change that these very generous folks do on very regular bases.1. If someone decides to make a suggestion about an improvement, or a constructive critique, that's well and good, as long as they're prep…

Morning all.Just a quick question. On the default 777, there are some indicators I am unsure of on the EICAS panel. On N1 and EGT, in each engine 'box' shows EAI (N1) and WAI (EGT).Be grateful if someone could explain to me what these mean, and also why one of the EAI's show in blue, and the other three show as green. Many thanksAllblack

If I download winds via the real weather feature of FS2002 - or input imaginary winds myself - are the wind directions true or magnetic?.I need to know to do some VFR navigation. Also, in FSnav , I believe the bearings that the programme computes are magnetic - is this correct? Thanks Barry

Gregg, I love your 580, there is one little niggling thing thats been bugging me for a while, I fly in spot view a lot.... You can see through the engines from intake to exhaust, is there a way to fix that? Maybe stick a wall in there?? Just curious, its no big deal at all and I have enjoyed flying this a LOT... :) Also thanks a million for the B18 patch....SUPER!!!!http://www.flightsimmers.net/airport/hornit/Allegheny.jpg

Any new news regarding NVIDIA attention in our desperate situation? As of now, I am able to get reflections on my Gainward GeForce4 MX440 by the Alt+Tab method and run reflections in full screen. Is there any way around this method that is less time consuming?<

Allo,Got myself a new rig, P4 2.2GHz 512MB RAM GeForce4 Ti4200 and ran FS2002 and WOW!! The frame rates with everything on max and 4x FSAA and the thing will regularly run at 25-30 fps! Even in highly detailed cities like San Fransisco I'll get around 15, which is pretty good considering the display settings. The resolution is at 1024 x 768 x 32.I swear the graphics even look different, better, and blurries are all but eliminated! If you have the opportunity to upgrade, it's definitely worth it!!James

Hi Folks! Before I begin the arduous task of reinstalling FS2K2 and all the add-ons I have accumulated, I thought I would check to see if there is an easy way to load the standard Scenerydb folder off the Install CDs without going through the normal install process.I have loaded standard aircraft in this manner, but I haven't tried any other standard folder data within FS2K2. With my luck, it is probably a special-format compressed file that can not be individually installed with a typcial copy process. If anyone has experience with this area, please advise. Hoping to save time!KeithP.S. Worst case..I will attempt to rename the FS2002 folder to another name.. do a new inst…

It's great... I have these perfect planes that never go wrong... I feel so safe... I'm INVINCIBLE!!!!Thing is, I think I'd like to be a bit more mortal!!Does anyone know whether there is a version of FSFault for FS2002? Or something similar that I can run in the background to make fault probability a little more realistic?I suppose I should bite the bullet and buy FSMaintenance? But it's just another programme running in the background and eating recources... What impact on resources does Maintenance have? Are there any other little programmes out there I could use?I've spent some time timkering with the built-in Faults system in FS2002 but it's not very good and I hav…

Mike, I think I e-mailed you several times on this. I KNOW you get tons of it so it might have gotten lost in the shuffle. I have now deleted any other 727's in my stable except for yours. Lots of great Delta repaints now..plus mine :) I was wondering if its possible to change the texture on the wheels to something more worn looking. Heres my idea.....did it with ascreenie and a piece of texture from some airliner wheel I have. http://www.flightsimmers.net/airport/hornit/72weel.jpgI like the realistic worn look, and think this would add a lot to this fabulous model. I'm just guessing others would like it too. Is this a big pain or is it something not too difficult?By the…
