Hello Gang!I have had the pleasure of test driving Frolov's wonderful Dash-8 and I have to say that he has created one of the most wonderful freeware addons to date in the Flight Simulator series. Yes, the airplane at the moment has no liveries and looks like it just came out of the factory, but the flight model, the sounds, the handling, and the panel, are second to none. I have e-mailed Mr. Frolov with some of my initial observations in hopes that it helps him fine tune this beauty and make it the most awesome addon. Am wondering if it is possible of clear up (either partially or completely) the smokey or tinted effect some designers place on the vc forward and side views. I'm thinking of the Gforce Cessna 150H and some Ercoupes among others, where the attempt for a greater realism may cloud side views a little too much. Is there an editable line in either the aircraft.cfg or panel.cfg files that controls the extent of tinting or smokey effect or is this effect incorporated in a .bmp file? Hello,I have had problems with PAI's autoinstallers. Is there anyway for me to get all the aircraft config files without using the autoinstallers?.I have manually installed all of the PAI aircraft textures. After planning an IFR flight between O'Hare and the Quad Cities airport, I get the following error while loading the flight.Unable to load flight plan.Then, to be sure, after the flight loads and I am sitting at the terminal, I check the GPS to make sure and no flight plan loaded. I then end the flight and get this error message.Unable to unload flight plan.I have deleted the plan directly from the myflights directory, then try to recreate the plan and still get the same error.Now, when I reverse the flight plan and fly from Quad Cities to ORD, I have no issue. Same with planning and flying any other flight to/from ORD.Any ideas??

Hi everyone,I am having problems with FS2K2 and vertical speed indication. On all my aircraft including the default ones I am not getting the correct VSI relitive to actual vertical speed. For example when I use say the 737 I rotate, gear up, set AP on then I usually set a climb rate of 2000fpm on the vsi. When I hit the VS on the autopilot the jet just pitches up and up until it stalls, the ias is fine as I am well inside the envelope for a vs of 2000fpm. If I reduce the vsi to say 300fpm the jet will climb (slowly). The vertical speed indicator is not showing what the aircraft is actually doing. Well it works for me! Basically I do the old windows mode trick everyone else has tried, but I was annoyed with the windows title bar. So I just got rid of it by re-sizing my monitor screen until the bar dissappeared off the top! A bit of a pain to reset it each time I enter or leave Flight Simulator but worth it for the reflective textures. You can even see clouds reflecting off the wing. :)Also of note was I found that every time I switched views I would have to do the windows mode trick again so as to get the reflections back. Guys,I'm repainting a Concorde in British Airways Union Flag colours and have a small problem with a texture which is covering the visor bay when the visor is down, this means I cannot view the visor in it's down possition from out side the aircraft. I have seen this texture removed on a previous repaint. Attemps to contact it's author have been unsuccessful. I hope some of you may be able to assist me. For some reason I am not getting any of the usual red text in the bottom left corner of the screen (ie, BRAKES, etc).. I do get the red text at the top if I use "shift + Z" to view FPS. Anyone know what might be wrong? Thanks!!John-PaulToronto

Hi,Can anyone please tell me how the frame lock works? I have it set to 25, and if I understand correctly that means the frame rate should always stay around 25 - but is doesn't! So what is the point behind the frame lock? And how come you can't turn it off?Does anyone know?Keith

I just downloaded the new Dash 8 and was wondering if anybody else noticed that it appears to be the MSFS2002 Dash 8 model with a stretched fuselage. The front portion looks exactly the same as the default model.....Is it the same (except for a few model changes)?And if it is, isn't violation of copyright to release it as your own model that you "modified"?Thanks!Shane

Am jealous, i admit it, am jealous. I go to the screenshoot forum, take a look at the picks and see airports full of planes, full of those little trucks that carry the food, and trucks that fill the planes with fuel, i want my FS2002 looking like that. Problem is i dont know how.Now i understand how to add planes that can be flown by me, i've also added AI planes from Project AI. What i dont see in my FS2002 is the business i see in the screenshots, mine just seems really sparse. Where do i go? Do i need to purchase add-on's? Can i download from the internet? I was looking through my aircraft file & I noticed a lack of add-on panels w/ my downloaded a/c. Can anyone suggest some freeware add-on panels to me? I'm looking for panels for the following models:757/767-200/300747-200MD-80 series (I know about Paul Golding's panel, but I have a 28.8k connection & am hesitant to download it. My goodness it is true. I have been up 5 times or so since doing this and it has breathed new life into this P3 1GHz w/ 512 PC103 ram, Radeon 64 DDR VIVO. I am truly amazed as I am running this at 1600 x 1200 x 32 and it really is totally smooth. Seems the AGP disable in DirectX was the thing that seems to have gotten rid of microstutters, or at least 95% of them. I am building a new machine but this clearly tells me there is not so much hurry anymore.
