Hi folks,Would like to find out more about FS real weather. Everytime after I downloaded the real weather, using the default FS one, I don't seem to get the temperatures right. On ground it appears to be okay in the air I normally get about -21 degrees celcious? Everytime I fly in real life, the "TV" shows OAT is about -40 degrees celcious.. etc. In FS is it not possible to exceed -21 degrees celcious? I think that's a bit too warm. Thanks!

For those of us who can't wait until September 9, the Windows XP service pack is available at http://download.microsoft.com/download/whi...psp1_en_x86.exeI just installed it and the applications I tested run my better. Even FS2002 seems smoother to me.

Hello, I once heard that there was a string that you insert to the FS2002.cfg to help make the blurry textures go away. If anyone can give that to me, or email it to me at [email protected] I'd really appriciate it.:) Thanks in advance, :)Mahmoudwww.arabian.ca.tc

Having only recently tried the virtual cockpits seriously, I am having an annoying problem getting my eyepoints to remain in a fixed position. I have no trouble with the "eyepoint" parameters in the aircraft.cfg file, but they only control the forward / back, left / right and up / down perspectives. That is an easy and permanent fix in the aircraft.cfg file. What I want to do is make my pan pitch parameter remain in effect even if I change views. For example, if I have my pan pitch set at 25 degrees, it keeps going back to 360 degrees after cycling through the views. I then have to manually pan back down again to the 25 degree angle. I wouldn't mind it even if I had to adj…

I formatted my system about a month ago, and I just got around now to reinstalling FS2k2, in the time I have gotten a little rusty (but have been taking REAL flying lessons, so it wasn't a waste!) when it comes to the must have add-ons for flight sim.I have the dreamfleet 737 add-on and all of the simflyers sceneries, and I am going to install those (which is the best AFCAD files for those airports?) and LONDON AIRPORTS (which would be the best for those too?).I want to know what the best airport sceneries are around (I mainly fly around the US, and lots in Vegas). Also, what about weather, etc? Aircraft? What about AI traffic? I already installed most of the Project AI …

I have been tring to avoid doing this but I have no choice. The stutter bug of fs2k2 is now with me.It's not really stutters more like a 1/2 second pause. It's enough that I notice.I even have the timing down and rhythem of the "small" pause.Iam getting 20 FPS so i know it's not a FPS issue but this is just driving me insane.I see a frame jump every 2-3 seconds. When I go to the outside view I can actually see the frame jump brief then re sync.I thought maybe my refresh rate was to low but I have not done anything at tweak was wise in quite sometime and the tweaks i do do are nothing out of the norm.I just wanted to see if anyone has experinced this or not.I looked through …

I started a new A.I.traffic.bgl for Europe because there was not much going on there with the original traffic.bgl.I'm using the FS Addon Manager what makes it really easy! One of the Aircraft I"m flying and using also in th A.I. is the 737Dreamfleet. The problem is this, while still on the ground ortaxiing around it appears to have left the undercarrige somewherearound! (Look Ma, no wheels!!) Can this be solved? Thanks Carel.

Avsim moderators...I don't want to start another flame war here. So if it turns into one...lock it or delete it.Just wanted to toss out something that many people may not realize. I've seen several posts lately about the shape of the nose being wrong on my 727. This highlights a real interesting thing about designing aircraft and responding to user feedback. I got an e-mail last week from a gentleman who says he works on 727's every day. He told me that the thing he likes most about my model is that I nailed the shape of the nose exactly. And this is not an isolated case. I get conflicting feedback all the time. For every note that says something is too long, some…

Hello,I just recenly built myself a new system...AMD XP1800 and 512DDR ram and just installed a EVGA GF4ti420064 vCard and was wondering what settings I should be able to get great FPS and scenery detail. Right now my settings/sliders are at 95% max and my performance is better than my GF3ti20064 on the same machinebut I think that I should be able to get a little smoother FPS. i am running 30.82 drvers.I have heard about RivaTunner but am not comfortable with that and would like to know what I could set my settings in Control Panel at.Any suggestions appreciated.http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/Us...9d503cc53ab.jpg

I am really excited that the new upgrade has been released but I cant seem to get the tow feature to work. The winch launches me just fine, but when I select "Tow" my aircraft just sits there with the tug ahead of me. Nothing happens after the beeps and eventually my glider tips to the side and "crashes". I tried playing with multiple gliders and settings for the cable weight in the .cfg file. Am I missing somthing here? Anyone else with similar problems? Thanks,Brewmaster

I know this may upset many of the designers and supporters of Mike Stone in the FS Community but hey I had to say it.Mike this is your old friend from last nite.. I took a look at your Boeing 757 and I must say it looks great. You did a good job and I know some talented aircraft painters will release some awesome liveries for it. I hope there is no hard feelings and keep up the great work. Now that I think about it, the only aircraft you designed that I didn't..... (oops, someone might call me a Troll again), anyway your stuff is great....Keep up the good work and thanks for your time and effort in FS Design. You are one of FS's best...Les--

Do I have to copy and paste the files to the correct directories?I tried unzipping to a temp folder...there was no setup file. Then unzipped to the Lago directory within FS2002...but this only made addtiional directories. The only way I can see doing this is to actually copy and paste each section separately into the existing directories

G'Day!I have uploaded the repaint textures for the BFU Mallard and it has since been brought to my attention that somehow I had forgotten to include the Read_Me/Installation Instructions with the zip file.I will include them here; see below in bold print. With Gary's blessing, I also included the new model files so that the reflective textures will work. I toned down the alpha on these so that it doesn't look like it has 12 coats of buffed wax on it. Shiny and clean, yes. Terminator Mallard, no. I would have done more with seam lines and the like but was unable to find any close-up photographs to help me on that; sorry guys.http://ftp.avsim.com/library/esearch.php?D...ther…

The new GMAX A310 is absolutely fantastic.. I tried making this request directly to its author but he only speaks German. I am seeking a painter who will do a professional quality repaint of Wardair Canada's A310 on the new recently released GMAX A310. Is there anyone out there that can do it? This was a beauty! Thanks http://www.airliners.net/open.file/198095/M/Nordair:-)
