I went ahead and slapped on SP1 tonight. Wow, it fixed the crappy sound problems I was having with FS2002 and the SB Live. It also fixes the anoying 60Hz display in d3d and opengl games.

I just uploaded a version of my 727-200 with grey wheels. This brings the "flaw list" on the 727 down to 458. I sincerely apologize for having made such a grievous error. I missed assigning a color to the wheel in GMAX and it defaulted to a random color, which happened to be a very light blue. Please note that there are still no textures assigned to the wheels (flaw #46) and that they are still clean (flaw #182). I suggest as an interim fix that you throw some dirt on your monitor. Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do on flaw #458 (upholstery should be cotton instead of polyester).Mike Stone

I finally got my instructor out of the plane! We did a little pattern work, a few takeoffs and landings, and when I asked if I could take it around alone he said "sure". I was told quite awhile ago that I was ready to solo the next nice day and whenever I felt ready. Well, it actually took me longer to "feel" ready than I expected.I took lessons 12 years ago and soloed after 5 hours (thanks to flight sim!) on a runway half the length and width of the one I currently use (N03 vs KITH). I have a Saitek stick and use Dauzheimer's drivers. Every time I unplug and replug the joystick, XP automatically reloads it's default Saitek drivers. This is bad enough, but if I don't catch it before I start fs2k2 (and cfs2 for that matter), all my stick and throttle assignments are replaced by the default ones, and I have to go through the whole tedious process again. When I check fs2002.cfg, it sure looks like all my custom assignments are still there. For good measure, I backed up fs2002.cfg and recopied the joystick sections the next time I had a problem. No good...still comes up with the default assignments in the game, even though the cfg file looks like it ha…

I did my first solo flight this afternoon in the Cessna 150. I flew from Palwaukee up to Waukegan and did a few trips around the pattern with my instructor. Then she got out and I did two takeoffs and landings on runway 14 and two more on 5 with a nice crosswind from the right. It was a beautiful late afternoon over the Chicago area. Visibility was great, the plane felt perfect, and I wasn't nervous at all.I'm sitting in my study now, hours later, but I haven't yet landed! Just had to share the feeling.

I still have and old system by standards but it works and is paid for so I keep using it. I am currently runing the 21.83 driver set with my GeForce GTS 64MB card but lately my water textures are not appearing smoothly. I sometimes get squares in the ocean of blank texture until I get closer then it fills in. Anyone know which current drivers I could use that my card is capable of taking advantage of? I know this has probably been answered before but.....When I start FS2K2 it appears that FS2K2 is one day earlier than the actual or PC system date. Is there a fix for this? I also reside in the eastern time zone, but when I start at the default Meigs Field, the clock still shows the eastern daylight time when it should roll back one hour. I am looking for a very realistic 737NG panel, with complex gauges and all that good stuff :). I'm probably just spoiled by the PSS A320 panel, but is there a freeware one with nearly the same quality? I was looking at the Project Magenta displays, & gauges like that would be perfect, I just want to know if there's freeware ones that rival it's quality. Below is the one I use now. I like it alot, but I would like to know if there is more complex, realistic gauges availible with any other panel. Thanks all!

Me and a friend are both flying the EMB-145 and they don't show up right when online.They look as though they are a twin propped plane.We've installed the latest version Of CSL in fs2002/aircraft and the new CSL_IVAO.csv in SB.A few days ago i actually saw an EMB-145.What i'm i doing wrong???Thanks,Steve.

My Cougar HOTAS is causing my CH Pro Pedals to disconnect the HOTAS from the USB port. I tried to get help from Thrustmaster but have not received a reply so I thought I'd try the excellent resource here. Here's the situation. I just got the Thrustmaster Cougar package and connected my CH Pro Pedals to it. Now when I press on the right pedal more than about 1/4 the total throw it appears to disconnect the USB port. It reconnects once I center the pedals again though. It appears that the pedals are centering with a value of 50880 instead of around 32000. Thus pushing the right pedal causes the value to possibly go out of range which may be causing the USB disconnec…
