Hello!I wonder why no N.A. Texans / Harvards have been created for FS2000 or, better, FS2002. The only Texans available are still FS98 models , outclassed by the present FS standards. It is a shame (but I am not an aircraft FS designer) that a popular and important plane like the Texan has not yet been considered by MSFS aircraft designers...I hope to wake-up one day, early in the morning and find a downloadable .zip for a Texan or Harvard ....a great plane, a great trainer and a milestone in American aviation history, utilised by a large number of Air Forces in the past and still going strong as a warbird, as well as a Racer in the T-6 category in Reno . best regards…

Hello everyone! In particular to those who have repainted planes.I have just learned how to repaint an aircraft...so far, it looks good, but if I want to add reflective textures to a certain parts of the aircraft, how do I go about that? And is it possible to make just 1 part of a bmp reflective (chrome) while leaving the rest as is? I have the DTXBmp program, but I am confused on exactly how to proceed after this point.BTW, I am using PSP 7.0 for my graphics editor.Thank you in advance.Brian A. NeumanWoodbury, MN

Heh, Im a bit prejudiced I guess :) Just finishing this one up, some detail work to do and I will likely upload this and my DC-9 tomorrow.I made it so a few of the textures still have reflectivity, but I don't like the super shiny look, jets just don't look like that. Hello, Anniette! I'm George, the guy to whom you sent your lovely Contintal Connection repaint a while ago for Mike Stone's B1900D. Anyhow, that part is quite irrelavent. LOL! I am writing because I need some assistance from you regarding installing your ATR 42-300 textures into my ATR 42-500 folder...I know someone said something about not overwriting prop files, but it has been a while, and I couldn't find the thread with the search I used. I'm getting a strange and undesirable porpoising effect in turns with Mike Stone's Gmax 757. No matter which airfile I swap it out with the bobbing persists and I get strange, unusually low indicated airspeeds of around 105-115 knots on final. This can't be right. I fly heavies all of the time and expect nothing less than 145-155 final approach speeds normally, with no problems in any other aircraft in my hangar. All software and drivers up-to-date, including FSUIPC, and I usually have FS meteo running during flight. Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone have any ideas? I have a Gateway PIII 500MHz with 128MB RAM and a decent video card with 16 MB of RAM. Right now if I am at a busy airport like O'Hare and I have the AI traffic maxed and the other sliders at normal I get about 3 to 6 fps if I am viewing the AI aircraft or when I am comming in for landing or taking off.Will an additional 128 MB of RAM help with frame rates? If so, about how much will it help?Thanks!

I'm using the 727 for FS2K2 that Charles Fox made, cf722aa.zip. I replaced the panel with Richard Probst's new release. One thing I'm noticing is that when I'm landing in a crosswind, when I flare, I'm not getting much, if any, response from rudder input when attempting to line up the aircraft with the direction of travel.I've gone back & forth between these panels & am able to "line up" the aircraft with Charles Fox's panel, so it's not a rudder pedal issue.It's as if the yaw damper is "on" & not responding to rudder commands. Fox's panel has an on/off switch for yaw dampers, yet Probst's panel does not. I don't know how this works, but if a panel doesn't…

Hi,I was trying to spruce up some scenery by adding static aircraft. I got MDL2BGL and converted a few FS98 models into BGL's. Then I used SCDIS 1.6 to convert the BGL's but they models got messed up when I imported them into FS Scenery Creator. They were way too big and had lines jutting out all over. Hi all you graphics gurus.I am running this wonderful card alongside a P4 2.2GHz CPU with Creative Lab's version of the 29.42 driver set and it appears to be rock solid stable. However, always being the one to fiddle ;) I would like to experiment with the LOD and Anisotropy settings. Problem is, the latest GeForce Tweak Utility expects nVidia's driver set and does not see the card.Can anyone recommend a tweak utility that isn't quite so fussy?Thanks,Mike :-wave

Should I buy it? I just got my brother in law interested in Flight Simulation. He is asking me if he should buy this card. The card he has in his system now is a IS3 Savage 32MB AGP. I have the original GeForce3 card from Visiontek and am very happy with it. Does this card have the same or better spec/performance as my card? I you have this card could you let me know your opinion. He can get this for about $130. I paid $399 for mine. But I know that the GeForce4 is out. hi alli have just got back into Flight simming after a few months of absence,anyway i reinstalled the game and the performance seems very poor to what i used to have,my system is a P3 800 256 SD133 RAM GForce 2MX400 64meg DX8.10 30.12 GF drivers and i get alot of stuttering,i also recently installed a second monitor and now i use a TNT 32meg card for that, i also have placed the 2D cockpit on that window and totally fly in VC in the main monitor,i have noticed i get around 5fps in VC and about 12 in 2D mode, what can i do to improve these jerkiness, could it be because of the multi monitor setup?also can anyone tell me if there is any good VC for jets out there to downloa…

As the title says, I've never stuck with a freeware 737-300/400/500 panel for very long - and as I never quite got the DF panel to work happily with FSNavigator - I was wondering if there was a really good panel out there that did everything I wanted (including a good AP)?Please let me know which is your personal favourite - or failing that - how to get the DF panel working nicely with FSNav...CheersRob

hi, I am flying the stone 727 coupled with probst outstanding panel and lately I have run in a weird problem. on landing , when I use the spoilers and the reverses the aircraft seems to come to a stop quite quickly and the weirdest is I cannot taxi back to the terminal, the aircraft seems to be glue on the asphalt. so which is a paint ...since I fly the most of my time on vatsim , I have to slew to the gate.is this happening to anyone else?one more thing , this is only happening with this aircraft... i run the latest FSPUICC version...kindest regardshenryHenry. Is there an easy way to go from Terrascene to landclass updates? I figure that with the ablity to create the LULC data in Terrascene, there has to be an easy way to port that info to landclass updates. Espceially since If you beleive MS, I live in a desert with no trees (KTAN) funny, since I see trees between me and the airport!Tim

Sorry, folks, but yet again I'm finding the oddball ones. The problem is, again, with the FS2002 ATC. Here's the situation...Flight plan is from (SimFlyers) KHPL to (out of the box) KBNA. Everything through about 14,000 is good. The weirdness happens with the call "Learjet LZ-NSB, contact Washington Center on . Good day."Normally, I'm lazy and let the radios autotune. This time, however, I didn't have that option. The only thing that I had available to me was "1. Cancel IFR." Okay, I change the radio manually... and ZDC never picks me up. Ever. I finally cancel IFR, request flight following (at FL310) and get myself to Nashville on my own.Anybody else run into …

I'm thinking of upgrading my system in the next month or two. I want FS 2002 to be super smooth in all situations: All settings maxed, 20+ fps at detailed airports like simflyer's with clouds, at night, etc. Are today's most powerful cpus/video cards/ram capable of giving me that? If so, what is the minimum config that would do that? I want to get all of SimFlyer's airport scenery, but I don't want it if I'm going to get 5-15 fps while taxing or on final.Does anyone have the latest hardware and can answer that question?ThanksEd
