Hi, Since thats the technologie always change each years, the video card will be 8X agp (some already available), already available agp 8x motherboard, Intel already have 4.7ghz cpu in demo testing. All to start again and again from scratch, this will never end. Most top games use the latest technologie and the full potential of graphics and processing, upgrading is a must if you want to follow them with good performance. How games will look now compare to now? I always think thats whats we have now it's already out dated since the progression is so much fast. Even worst when games are created and never use the full potential of graphics capability like many of them inc…

Looking at the shot below where would you say the problem lies ? I'm leaning towards the scenery but then again the default Schweizer sits at ground level. On the other hand the otherwise excellent (aside from the 'bouncy' landings) ASW28 looks just fine at default airports.Hmmm ....http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d7e6d744fcca7fd.jpg

As I write this, the time is shortly after 1 a.m. here in the UK and my thoughts have turned to remember the horrific events in New York and Washington a year ago.To all our American friends, and especially those directly caught up in or affected by the attacks, my thoughts and prayers are with you today.Toni.

HiI recently posted a question asking why in certain cases my AI 'keeps going around' Someone very helpfully said that I should increase the amount of gates, which I duly did. However, all aircraft seem to land ok but there is one that always seems to 'go around' Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated ?Cheers :-zhelp Russell

Hey everyone. I thought I just let everybody know that I just finished downloading and installing 'Service Pack 1' for Windows XP. I've strugled with the 'swimming' and 'flickering' textures for a long time, but I think I've finally found a fix. SP1, (along with DirectX 8.1b which comes along with it) really gets rid of most of the swimming and flickering textures. While I still have some, it's just because I run FS2k2 at 1024X768. So, for anybody not sure about getting SP1, go grab it now. :-)Oh, and one more thing. My FS2k2 text (FPS couter, etc) is blurry and jagged since I installed SP1, anybody else noticing this?)Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ART…

  9. When I want to sit back and enjoy my finalApproach with the "instant-replay" function, sometimes the gear and the flaps are retracted for the whole replay. The Plane (FlightOne737, PSS747, PSSA320) just lands without gear and also no engine-sounds are replayed (always plays the engine-idle-sound).I normally start the playback at 240-270 sec before TD (also tested more or less seconds - no effect).Anyone with the same problem - and any ideas how to fix it?ThanksArt

Seems like the AI use more of the runway than is available. Runway 9L is one of the shorter, but often used arrival runways (about 9500 feet I think) and alot of AI just run off the end and just disappear...What's wrong?I am using the 5-overlay KORD AFCAD and my United planes land on 9L, and my scenery is the Airport 2000 KORD.

HiCan anyone recommend a package that will allow me to display instrument panels such as gps, radio stack etc on a second monitor via a lan. I've looked at fswide but the latest version no longer supports the displaying of instruments. I know this can be done with a second (pci) graphics card, however, having tried this, i noticed an approx 5fps drop in performance. I believe this would not be the case using a lan. Thanks GaryAthlon XP1600+256MddrGeforce 3 Ti200Win98

Lately, ATC has been totally messed up. I have been planning IFR flights with FSNavigator and loading them. For example, after I take off, ATC will tell me to make a right turn to 110 and when I do, ATC will tell me to expedite my turn to 110. I don't know what to do, since I am already there. After a while of ATC repeating the order, it will eventually tell me that it's canceling my IFR flight. What is going wrong? Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone experienced similar problems?Any help is appreciated.Regards,CostasKLWMDell Dimension 4400 Pentium 4 at 1.7 GHz640MB DDR SDRAM at 266MHzNvidia GeForce2 MX400 (2942)20GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive48x Variable CD-ROM Drive…

Hi,I want to connect to the Internet in order to use online ATC.BUT: when FS2002 is on and joystick is enabled, my 56k modem is not able to download a single bit from Internet, just as if the server were down.As soon as I disable the joystick (key K), data can be received again. As if there were a conflict between the modem and the joystick (or the sound board it is connected to). I checked hardware settings and everything looks ok. I also tried to disable interrupts on the joystick window in Windows, but nothing changes.Any ideas?I have:Thrustmaster Attack Throttle with a yoke and Thrustmaster pedals;Pentium IV 2 GHZ with 512 Mb Ram;GeForce II 64 Mb;Windows ME.Thank you …

WELLINGTON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - National carrier Air New Zealand said on Wednesday the failure of a lug appeared to be the reason for one of its jumbos losing part of a wing flap on an trans-Pacific flight last month, and it was moving to replace the similar part on all its 747s. A piece of wing flap more than 1.5 metres (five feet) long fell off the Boeing BA.N 747-400 shortly after takeoff from Auckland International Airport en route to Los Angeles on August 30. The damage was discovered after the plane landed safely. The incident was the second in a week involving pieces falling off the wings of Air New Zealand aircraft.A 10 kilogram (22lb) wing panel detached on a flig…

Hi all,Just arrived from holidays, and after a short participation in another team's project as gauge programmer, I'll start over my ATR72-500 (I hope it will be good enough as for Anniette to make one of her fantastic liveries for it...). I'll make it in Air Nostrum colours. So I must start looking for ideas for my next project. It HAS to be a propeller plane. Best would be a 4-prop. When I was a child (too many years ago), my father used to take me to the airport where we lived at Valencia; then I got in love with those beautiful shiny airliners. During these holidays I had the oprtunity to see some of them abandoned at El Alto airport (at Bolivia).I accept suggestions …

Hello, I am hoping to find someone who can paint Mike Stone's 727 in SunCountry colors for me. I know how difficult it is to paint as I have tried and have no talent for it. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone was willing to make the effort!! I really enjoy flying this 727 and just want to have a SunCountry 727 in my hangar as I used to fly on them every summer to go to Denver.(the old Stapleton Airport) Thank you to everyone who can help me with this.
