hiwhere can i find either a program or charts that give you world maps with vor's and ndb's,so i can fly using them instead of the fs2002 gpsi'm sure in fs98 or one of them the maual had maps printed in them so you could navigate around the different areas. thanks for help steve

HiI was looking at this pic on a.net and I cannot figure out what a ceratin part of the tail is for. Here is a pic.I know that:The dark blue part is the non-moving tail surface (the name escapes me right now)The purple part is the aileronThe light blue part is the Trim TabI don't know what the red part is for. It appears to be hinged so that it moves...or is ti just part of the aileron....anyone know what it can be? in any of my a/c. all I get is a black square where it should be. Also all of a sudden, just started today, getting this message when the sim fires up and doesn't matter wether I say yes or no still no GPS. I've only istalled one a/c since yesterday and it doesn't have a GPS.I did d/l Cap Havoc's revised Goose panel and when installed got a blck box for the GPS but went back to my other panel I had been using and it was there for that, now now there for any a/c. I was reading an archivated thread about this. Well, I can get the GAP1 scenery to lock out AA LOWI if I set GAP1 to a higher layer, but not the other way around. The skid marks, the taxi lines and som other stuff from GAP1 LOWI is still displayed ontop of the new AA LOWI.Does anybody else have this problem or can you please help me?Thanks in advance,Christian

Hey guys,I need a little help with this one. Fs2002 keeps crashing on me at random times and in the error report it always gives me an error with atc.dll. I think the problem might be the fact that i have world airports flight plans installed and today i was spotting when i saw two planes merely feet apart land at the same time. ATC told one of them they landed without permission and then, on que, the game froze. Any ideas? Geoff

Being that I normally just fly flights within a few hundred miles I've been toying with the idea of getting PSS 747 for some long flights. Just wondering what all you "long Haul" simmers do on these 7-8 hr flights. Do you use time compression, or just go watch tv or what? Thanks

I am trying to find a soulution as to fix the problem with the AI Planes landing at Maui intl Airport? I see the plans coming in on final at very high Altitudes! Liek around 4000ft-5000Ft and they just overfly the airport, do a go around and do the same thing!!? I know there is some mountains near the apprach area, but there are no hills in the Glidesloe path or apprach couse to the runway!? The AI planes take-off ok, but the landing is really off! And yes i did watch the planes come in about 35 Minutes before threy arrive, as to let them decend upon startup of FS! So If anyone has suggestions i could try or knows how to fix this Bug at MAui Intl, I would really apprecite…

I have recently transferred the FS2k concorde to FS2k2. The patch for FS2k made some alterations to the air file of concorde. I was hoping for someone to tell me what changes were made or for someone to send me the updated air file. Thanks

Ok, I decided to try and learn to soar in the glider, but I can't get the Winch to work. I never see any other gliders come to the air field or anything. The airplane tow works great, and I can actually stay airborne for quite sometime, but the winch just never appears. I tell it to "Start Winch Procedure" and it tells me "Winch isn't ready". I've tried summer, spring, Saturday, Mondays, Fridays... 8am, 10am...etc. Am I doing something wrong?? I have all the updates. Thanks...

G'day fellow simmers,I always have difficulty deciding how much reverse and which autobrake setting to use for a certain runway. Is there a programme which depicts runway lenghth for a certain airport? I know FS's mapview offers it, but is it possible to get airport information from the cocokpit?Thanks!

Hi all,I am having big problems flying Concorde in FS2002. Every time I reach cruise altitude at mach 2 I notice that the only way for the centre of gravity to be maintained is if the centre 2 tank is completely full, so when the centre 2 tank starts to empty because all of the fuel from the centre tank has been pumped in to it, then the centre of gravity becomes impossible to maintain. Also when flying mach2 at cruise altitude I find that if the aircraft turns left or right for any reason, like at a waypoint, then the whole plane starts to shake and then it pitches towards the ground. Anyone know how I can solve these problems or know of any good FDE

Dear All,Many of you might have done this already, but as someone who has just suffered a complete hard drive failure on one of their PCs (luckily not the one I use for FS2002), I have just started to write down full details of my FS2002 installation, in case I ever need to reinstall. I would urge all of you to do the same, as it is amazing how many 'modifications' I have made to FS2002 over the last year, including many new aircraft and sceneries, new textures, new meshes and other utilities. It may take a while, but I plan to make a note of everything I have done to FS2002 (including all settings) and back up all files. Without this, I doubt whether I would ever get FS2…
